Stayed 4 nights at this clean and well-kept location with two other family members. William was extremely welcoming and attentive to any needs. Nice dedicated parking spot in front of the residence. All amenities listed were just as advertised. We would stay here again.
We recently stayed at this property and had a generally pleasant experience. The home features beautiful wood floors and well-kept classic details that add charm to the space. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. The large TV and nice window treatments added to the comfort of our stay.
The host was incredibly kind and responsive, which we greatly appreciated.
There were a few things to be aware of: the circuit breaker tripped during our stay, and the outlets didn’t seem to have protection from blown fuses. We could also hear some noise from the neighboring unit just because I don’t think 120 year old homes had great noise reduction in place. Additionally, the property does not have a deadbolt on the internal door, which would have been no big deal, but it had a similar entrance to the other duplex. The neighborhood is a bit iffy and is situated on a fast main road.
Overall, it was a good stay with a few minor issues to note. The host’s hospitality made a significant positive difference.
We enjoyed our stay immensely! House was historically gorgeous and spacious enough. With an adequate kitchen, 3 separate bedrooms and cozy commons area, it was a perfect place to relax before and after the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival. The location is also VERY convenient to many attractions. Host was easy to access and responded timely.
Our group of three stayed in the lower unit. The house was clean and comfortable, and met all of our needs nicely. The home has beautiful wood features and wood floors, a new kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms. We had two cars and parking was no problem, either in the single spot or on the street right in front of the house. The location is great, convenient to the freeways and with a lot of neighborhood bars and restaurants in the vicinity. William was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay at this property again.
The unit is in a well-maintained vintage building. Several Arts and Crafts-style, built-in bookcases, woodwork, and a lovely dining room add to the charm. Parking availability is excellent, and the location is great!
This property is in a good location to several shops and dining. The owner was very helpful and had good communication on anything I needed. I will stay here again when I com back . Thanks again for the lovely rental
The apartment, in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of both Lexington and Grand, was spotless, spacious, and well-equipped. Wifi was very good and the bed was fabulously comfortable. William was a kind, helpful, and responsive host and we felt extremely well looked after during our two-week stay.
This second floor apartment has everything we needed for a long weekend with family. We liked it so much when we first rented in 2019 for our first daughter’s graduation that we sought it out for our second daughter’s graduation. It has a full kitchen, nice dining room, comfortable living room for lounging, 3 bedrooms, and all very clean. As well, William is a great host. Hope to have a reason to return in the future!
We attended our daughter"s graduation from Mitchell Hamline Law School. The property on Marshall was only blocks from her home on Ashland. The duplex was spotless, large and quiet. St. Paul was having a heat wave but our VRBO was cool with AC units and ceiling fans. We loved the decor. Excellent host and experience. We'll be back.
The home was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owners were friendly and let us know that they were available if we needed anything. We would love to stay here again on a future trip to the Twin Cities!
This duplex worked so well for 4 of us, and is located within easy access of several main St. Paul routes. It is in a nice neighborhood and is spacious, clean, and quiet. William lives just downstairs, but gave us total privacy. We will definitely choose this rental next time we are in the Twin Cities.
My mom, brother and I had a great stay at this conveniently located upper duplex property. It was spacious, had good amenities (fully stocked kitchen, tv entertainment options in living room and bedrooms) and a very friendly and attentive owner, William. I had a few questions and needed help with the tv set up and William was there immediately to get me on track. When I had some difficultly with one of the tv screens, he replaced it on the spot. He also allowed us to extend our stay on short notice and even brought my mom a bag of her favorite mini donuts from the fair. He was a HomeAway host champion! We would happily stay at this property again not only because it was a great upper level duplex, provided us all with private rooms, was close to the Grand avenue area and the freeway, and was a good value, but also because the owner did such a good job of taking care of us. Thanks for the great HomeAway experience!
Honestly I loved the location
, of the unit it was close to everything yet nice an quiet an cozy. Felt at home in the unit I'd definitely recommend it. An will be looking forward to future stays in the unit
This was perfect for our needs and centrally located for all amenities. William was very attentive! One thing- this is a new-to-homeaway property, so it does not have all the fun "leftovers" (coffee, tea, etc) that most of the properties have just from others having being there....YET! I would stay here again.
Great communication from the start. Worked well with me not knowing exactly when I would be arriving. An accurate description of the property. Will definitely try to book here whenever I come back to visit my brother in the future.

Perfect location and setup for our trip.
This is a lovely and comfortable place to stay. We mainly needed a place to have meals and a comfortable place to sleep. It worked perfectly.
The location was close to everything we needed including a short drive to the family we were visiting. There were a lot of restaurants, stores, and attractions in the neighborhood.
