Wake up with Views of the Ocean

THREE WEEKS IN SUMMER '25 STILL AVAILABLE.
Located in sleepy Westbrook, Ct and across the street from Long Island Sound, this beach house is spacious with a full kitchen, dining, and living room. A back yard area for children to play and parents to barbeque is included with a fire pit and a serene view of a marsh with nesting Osprey. There is a outdoor shower with both cold and hot water to wash the sand off from the beach. Little Stannard Beach (100 yards away) is beautiful and private for only the immediate neighborhood.

Great sandbars and, at low tide, a walk to explore Salt Island is available. Many great restaurants and summer activities are nearby, including Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Seaport, The Essex Steam Train, a bird sanctuary, and the Westbrook and Clinton outlet malls. Little Stannard Beach borders The Water's Edge Resort and Spa's Beach.

Many of our renters come back year after year. Read their reviews. We only rent for a MINIMUM 2 NIGHTS DURING THE BEGINNING OF JUNE AND IN SEPTEMBER, ONLY FOR A MINIMUM OF A WEEK IN LATE JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST.

This location was perfect for a girls trip. Beautiful location, comfy beds and just felt like home. The private beach has soft sand, the firepit area has beautiful views of the marsh as well. It was so quiet and relaxing. There are a ton of choices for great food nearby and the spa is steps away. Kiki and her husband are excellent hosts, quick to help and super friendly with the most adoreable dog too! 100% would book again!!

Perfect beach house in great location

The warmest and most welcoming hosts, who have thought of every detail for guests. We stayed in March and the house is cozy and charming and comfortable. The beach right across the street--water views from both bedrooms--is absolutely magical. We made the best memories here.

We really enjoyed our stay here—the place was just as listed, with a beautiful backyard view perfect for relaxing. The private beach was very close and peaceful, and the location made it easy to get around and access amenities. We stayed with our 8-month-old, and the very creaky floors and queen bed made it difficult to move around quietly, which was a challenge. We ended up sleeping in the bunk beds and giving her the room to herself. Overall, it was a lovely stay—if it had just been the two of us, we’d likely give it 5 stars, but with the baby those issues brought it down to 4.

We are year round residents of Little Stannard Beach and have been for over 20 years. Our children grew up in this wonderful little neighborhood and we are happy to share it with others.

Why they chose this property

With of a view of the Long Island sound as a benefit, there is also a large back yard to enjoy as well with a fire pit included. It is a great place for children to run around and play while you are grilling, without having to worry about their safety near the water. The beach is only 100 yards away though.

What makes this property unique

The uniqueness of Little Stannard Beach is that there is only one dead end street with access to the beach. Most beaches have many neighborhoods with acccess. It is not unusual to have only one or two families on this beach in the summer.
