Great Vacation

We were so pleased with this villa. The place was clean and is in the perfect location for the beach or the pool! We loved it so much we put a deposit down for the same week next year!! Thanks for a wonderful week! The only complaint is o wish we could have stayed another week!

This villa, which sits on the marsh, was infested with small, flying fruit-fly like flies. We called the real estate property manager almost every day as the resolutions attempted (vinegar in the garbage disposal, vinegar with dish detergent and water in small bowls around the premises, and ice in the garbage disposal) did not work. On Friday, an exterminator was called in. Unfortunately, our stay was over less than 24 hours after this person came. All week long, these insects were flying in and around our faces, landing on food whenever we ate, and all of our food had to be covered with Saran Wrap if not in the refrigerator. Additionally, in the small storage area on the ground floor, many piles of animal feces, appearing to be that of a dog/dogs were found. Upon our arrival, entering the front door, there was a large wasp nest at the door that we had to navigate to get into the house without disturbing the nest. The rugs were stained, as was the couch. Our stay was a very negative one, and I would not stay again. Also, this rental was under the management of a local real estate company, Dunes Beach Rental, not an owner. With that said, I would not necessarily hold the owner responsible. As a management company, all of these issues should have been addressed prior to our arrival.
