Private Amish Log Cabin Getaway

Welcome to our secluded Amish log cabin in Wisconsin's Black River Falls area. Guests have said our cabin is cozy, comfortable and offers a sense of peaceful relaxation. We are located on one and a half acres of towering pines, with no neighbors right next door! You can peacefully sit on the porch and see only tree's and wildlife and just breath in the clean air of the woods. Yet we are only minutes from Hatfield, hundreds of miles of the best ATV trails in the midwest, fishing, thousands of acres of prime county forest hunting land and all the area has to offer.
This past summer some of the highlights our guests have mentioned is an annual area bike race, climbing the Levis-Trow Mound, bare foot water ski adventures at the Blue Moo and hours of fun at the local lakes!

The area is a little bit of heaven for all you fishermen out there. Rivers, streams, lakes and flowages cover the area, so you'll have plenty of choices to catch the 'big one.' Many craft fairs and flea markets are held just miles from the cabin, or set aside the third weekend in September for Warrens annual Cranberry Fest! Maybe you'll want to try your luck at the Majestic Pines Casino? Some guests just want to to relax on the porch swing and watch the wildlife, read a book and get a nice fire going in the outside fire pit area.

Ladies, are have you been looking for a great place for a 'Womens Only Vacation.'? We've had a wonderful response from the ladies who have gone and said it was relaxing, enjoyable and just what they needed!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It’s a great little place with comfortable indoor spaces and a very private outdoor area. We especially loved the double loft for sleeping! A really cute cabin - good communication from the host as well - no issues. Would definitely stay there again.

Really enjoyed the seclusion of this home. Comfortable, just what you need for a relaxing vacay! Close to everything you need. We were fishing! Plenty of room for boat parking. Quaint! My only recommendation is to update the shower, but it gets the job done! Thank you for sharing your home. Host responds quickly for any questions or direction! Will definitely rent again!

Very comfortable and quiet. While the weather outside was very hot and humid the air conditioning was more than adequate to provide a very comfortable setting. There were a few minor problems with the DIRECTV thus we recommend taking some DVDs in case there are any additional complications. This however, was a minor inconvenience. Jennifer was incredible to work with. Our family was facing a significant medical crisis One week before our reservation and she was in incredibly gracious in working with us if necessary. This place is five stars all the way.

Beautiful little cabin, very solid with heated floors! It was so quiet, and the comfy beds provided great sleep. We watched movies on the big tv and curled up for reading on the sofas. Kitchen had all the cooking utensils and dishes, so it was easy to prepare meals. Perfect place to get away from it all to relax, rewind, and renew.

Short and sweet

A short but sweet stay at this cozy cabin. Super clean and had everything I needed for my stay. Including a morning visit from a doe, spotted fawn and young buck. Looking forward to returning. Jennifer & Jeff are great responsive hosts.

Extended Stay

I stayed at the cabin for 5 months. It exceeded every expectation. Jennifer and Jeff were great hosts - responsive and helpful when needed. I wanted a quiet getaway and the Cozy Cabin fulfilled my quest for solitude. It is very close to stores, restaurants, hiking, beaches, fishing, etc. Yet far enough to feel hidden away in the woods. If you are able to sit quietly and simply observe, you may see deer, rabbits, several varieties of birds and butterflies. You may be visited by the hummingbirds. At night you will hear the coyotes, the peepers and maybe an owl. The moon and stars are beautiful - especially on a clear crisp winter night. The sunrise shining through the trees makes sitting on the porch swing with a cup of coffee the perfect way to start the day. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and baking. This is a special place and I look forward to returning.

Unplugged Paradise

My son was going to propose to his girlfriend so we had to play it off as just a visit. We wanted a quiet spot for me to bond with our 4 adopted little ones, I left the hubby home until proposal day : ) The kiddos loved the place & I could keep my eye on them in one central spot where I relaxed. Which is huge for 4 little ones. The property was well managed and even though we had a hiccup with the oven going out the property owner was wonderful in communication and made things right. There is not a bathtub, just a stand up shower. The kids got their first shower since the trauma they endured & they simply loved it. It was a perfect healing moment! There is a swing next to an area with bench seating & fire ring to roast s'mores. The porch swing was perfect for morning coffee while listening to the birds. There is traffic noise but you don't see it and it doesn't drown out the sounds of nature. Check out the chamber of commerce they have loads of things to do without having to do searches. The flooring is concrete so in the summer it is very cool but in the winter it is the main source of heating. Socks or house shoes are suggested for those who get cold feet. Big Heads up NO WIFI & signal can be hit or miss. Even the cable was spotty when we wanted to just catch a show before bed. It really made us focus on each other & not other ways to entertain ourselves. It was a wonderful stay & will come back.

Like all of the positive reviews prior, this cabin was a delight. Grandchild had so much fun for the 3 days we stayed. Have to return with my wife for fall hiking adventures. Everything you need except food, is pretty much provided.

Perfect get away from it all. The porch is pretty amazing. We saw deer out the backdoor, a coyote out in the front yard, and loved the peaceful setting. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the room AC was surprisingly all that was needed to cool the whole cabin on days that it was nearly 100 outside. We loved our stay and definitely recommend this property.

Great, cozy cabin

We’ve been coming to the Amish Cabin for years during our hunting adventures. Always love when we get to come back to this cabin after a long day in the woods. I love the feel of the cabin, rough-cut timber, private setting in the woods, and of course the infloor heat!

This is the 3rd log cabin Jeff and I built and we have plans to keep on going. They are beautiful, fun , relaxing and they give pleasure to everyone who comes. It does not get better than that!

Why they chose this property

My husband and I built this log cabin with tree's we logged from the site and had milled with the local Amish. We have enjoyed learning log cabin building techniques from the Amish and buying great home-made candies from them too! The decorating inside is a fun mix of things we've picked up on our travels out west, from Alaka, from old barns, flea-markets and wonderful friends.

What makes this property unique

My perfect stay at the cabin is,'turning off my phone, bringing a great book and reading it while I'm sitting on the porch swing, having a cup of coffee. Then dinner a local supper-club and a great night's sleep with the sounds of wind in the tree's.'
