About this property

Private Red Roof Cabin - Rustic Log Cabin In The Woods!

This may be our favorite cabin yet! We again hand crafted each piece inside and out, so take your time and look around. While you look at all the decorations, know that they came from old barns, attics, trips out west and from family and friends. Everything has a story behind it and we invite you to share yours. The Guest Book is a special treat to read and hear about all of your adventures and we like to think that we’ve become a small part of your memory here.
Red sleeps 10, with 2 bedrooms on the main floor and 3 additional beds in the large loft area. The main floor is an open plan with the great room flowing into the full kitchen for all your gathering needs. Or take the group outside to the fire pit area for bonfires and stories.
Our cabin is set out in the forest of Central WI and the closest neighbor is about a football field away through the woods, but we are only a few miles from several lakes for fishing, boating and swimming. We also have access now to the hundreds of miles of the best ATV trails the mid-west. Hiking, biking, golf and then as the seasons change, explore the cranberry marshes, apple orchards and get ready for the ski hills and snowmobile trails!

Perfect for a group of friends

My group of friends stayed for a long weekend at the red roof cabin. It is quite private and quiet, and only a short drive to Black River Falls for fun and great food. We have stayed here before and will be happy to stay again.

We really liked this cabin. It was what we expected other than there were a lot of ants inside the cabin. There were ant traps set around but we still had some issues with them. Other than that i cant complain. Very nice owner and manager. Looking to book again in the fall.

Atving

It was a nice cabin. Close to everything and very clean. We enjoyed the stay. Downfalls were, there were ants on the counter, could never keep a signal on the direct tv, and no dvd player but had dvds. Oh and let’s not forget the squirrel that must go in and out through a hole in the wall above the bathroom area. Otherwise, no one can control the weather. It was nice having a washer and dryer.

Overall 5 star, quiet and rustic

The only reason I gave it a 4 star on accuracy of listing is because, yes it could sleep 10 but the beds are tiny and to be honest not the most comfortable. We had six in the family and two dogs. I found it odd there was not extra toilet paper. It was awesome there was fire wood on site for the fire pit but it rained the majority of the time we were at the cabin. Would have really enjoyed the fire pit. The area was beautiful with the changing of the leaves colors. It is quiet and convenient. I’d book again.

Beautiful cabin! We really enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. Very clean cabin with plenty of room. Rode right to the ATV trails directly from the cabin. Hope to be back again for sure!

UTV Trip

Enjoyed the cabin. Didn't know we needed our own TP, Kleenex and paper towels. Town was close. It all worked out great. Were able to get around on our UTV with ease. It was comfortable inside and out.

Absolutely perfect

We came to the area to visit family and wanted something different than a hotel. We decided to rent the red roof cabin after reading all the good reviews. We were not disappointed! Although it rained a bit more than we would’ve liked, we still found plenty to do and especially enjoyed the huge covered porch. The cabin is set up very nice with a lot of really cool decorations. I have no complaints at all. We would definitely stay there again!

Great get-a-way

This was a very nice cabin. Clean, with a great porch that was well used by our group. Only issue for us was we were visiting in July and air conditioning was not able to keep up. Otherwise everything was just great and our host was super responsive! We loved the area as well enjoying Wazee park and Skyline for golf.
