We searched for vintage and antique furniture that we think suits the house's personality while giving it a cozy and familiar feel. There are colorful Oriental rugs on the refinished original hardwood floors. The updated windows keep the house warm while letting in lots of natural light throughout the day.
The living room has a large TV with an Amazon Firestick.
The kitchen includes utensils, pots, pans, a gas stove/oven, coffee maker and a microwave.
The house has two full bathrooms and a half-bath in the hall. One of the full baths features a walk-in shower, and the master bath has a tub. The master bedroom has a new king size memory foam mattress. Two other medium size bedrooms each have a queen size bed and clothing storage.
There is ample room for parking in the 2-car carport and driveway. The large backyard offers privacy. When the weather is warm, you can spend some time on the concrete patio in full sun.
We have put love and care into this house and we hope that you can enjoy it as you would your own home.

Comfy beds & accessibility

We were looking for a place to stay for a family wedding. We had specific mobility needs for an elderly member of our family and this met our needs fairly well. We found the home to be extremely clean & well appointed with everything needed for a short stay. We all agreed that the beds were the most comfortable we’ve slept in in any rental. Ever! Important to us, there is a walk in shower and everything is on one level. For the benefit of others who struggle with mobility, there are 2 steps to enter… and the first one is a bit tall, but we made it work. There is also a small lip on the seam between the kitchen/dining room and main living space that we had to remind to prevent a fall. Overall, fantastic stay, responsive hosts, easy location. Would definitely stay again if our travels bring us back to Athens!

Perfect for our needs

We attended a wedding in Athens...had never been there before so took a chance on renting a house instead of staying in a hotel recommended by the bridal party. It was a great decision. House was super clean, close to everything, and was exactly what we needed to accommodate myself, my parents and sisters. Its not the most modern house when it comes to decor, couch sits a little low if you have bad knees but its very clean which was most important to us, and has just what is needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely book again.
