About this property

Spacious suite with fenced back yard, deck, gas grill, fireplaces and splash pad


The living area is a fully furnished spacious private suite (over 1,000 square feet) featuring a private entrance, queen bed, futon bed, full bathroom, full kitchen, computer workstation (computer not provided), and high speed Wi-Fi. Living room area has a 70" TV with DVD player, family friendly DVD collection, Youtube and streaming access. Location is in a quiet residential neighborhood less than 5 miles from the UGA football stadium. Free parking for 2 cars available in the driveway, and additional parking on the street.

The back yard features a covered deck with bar height table, gas fire ring, outdoor wood fireplace, and a large grass open fenced area with a concrete splashpad for the kids. Please let us know if you would like to have some visitors during the day. We have a gas grill, and and 36" griddle that can be used for outdoor cooking. You can relax in the comfortable seating area around the fireplace while the kids splash away!

Mark and Regina were so kind and made our trip a great experience. They were helpful with recommendations and their place is super comfortable. It was easy to feel at home there and settle in even just for a few days. They are also easy to reach with questions/travel updates as we planned the trip and always responsive and kind. If we are ever back in Athens we will definitely try to stay here again! And a final note- it was too chilly most days for us, but the neighborhood is convenient but also quiet and walkable. Great overall location and experience.

Home away from home

This is the second time staying while visiting daughter at UGA, very nice location and such a comfortable stay. My tire was low on air and Mark filled it and made sure it was good to return on the road. Feel very safe here, will be back soon!

Georgia Game Getaway

We stayed here for a weekend to go to a Georgia game. The hosts came down to meet us as soon as we arrived and offered their help for anything we needed. Perfect property and location

We were there for our daughter's graduation from UGA. There were 3 of us. We loved the spaciousness of the apartment and the beautiful backyard where we had a wonderful evening outside. I also enjoyed walking the hills nearby and getting exercise without even leaving the neighborhood. Mark and Regina were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay there again.

We moved to the Athens area to be near our two daughters, and our grand daughter. Mark is a retired mechanical engineer who loves to build things. He spends a lot of time making projects with his CNC machine in the garage. When Regina is not babysitting our grand daughter, she likes to sew and quilt.

Why they chose this property

We specifically looked for a home with a full basement and a nice private back yard. It was difficult to find because homes typically have one or the other, but not both. We were immediately sold on the back yard because it is perfect for entertaining and is very private.

What makes this property unique

After a long day at a football game or visiting sites in Athens, the private fenced back yard is the perfect place to relax and unwind with your children and some of your friends. We just recently added a splash pad that the children love! You can relax in the comfortable seating area around the fireplace while the kids splash away! We have a covered portion of the deck that has a bar height table. There is a also a gas fire table and a gas grill on an open portion of the deck. The paved patio area has a glass dining table and an outdoor fireplace with comfortable seating. All together there is seating for 16 on the deck and patio. It is the perfect area for small events and gatherings.
