Cottage surrounded by trees and creek. All the peace and quiet that you can imagine. Great for game day, conferences or time away. Sit on the porches and watch nature. We are just 2 minutes from Broad Street/Atlanta Highway going through Athens.

Flying to Atlanta? Take Groome Airport Shuttle and take short Uber drive to our home (about 5 minutes).

Tailgating? Leave your car and take an Uber.

This cottage was perfect for our short visit to Athens. Just a short drive to downtown Athens and to UGA. It was nice to be "in the woods" and only a short drive to restaurants, shopping, etc...

A Gem in the Woods

Charming, clean, and great location. We loved staying here and travel often to Athens and would love to book again. The location is very close to downtown yet it's tucked away in a woodsy beautiful setting and you feel far away from the city. Absolutely perfect.

Nature bathing at its best

This cottage in the woods was nature bathing at its best. What a lovely spot! Easy to get to dining and shops and hidden away at the same time. Very peaceful. We spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the view. Living spaces were all comfortable and clean. The only glitch was difficulty figuring out the correct house address in the dark when we arrived. Otherwise highly recommend!

Loved how close it was without feeling the chaos of Athens.

What a neat property. It was like staying in a rustic mountain cabin right in the middle of Athens. Beautiful, peaceful, quiet setting but in an incredibly convenient, central location. Our dog loved walking around the property and looking at the deer we saw. We highly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Quiet home

The home was clean. It was nice that the home is secluded but in the midfle of everything Athens had to offer. It is an older home, but i liked that and really appeciated that there was an entire history of the cottage and the surrounding homes in the binder with checkout instructions.

Cozy, older cabin in a great location.

Lynnette was a very good host. The cabin was older but in good shape. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and and woodsy location of the cabin (like being in the mountains), yet close to most everything. Suggestion: The burners in the gas grill definitely should be replaced, if not the entire grill. Overall, well worth the price and we would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Athens. A hidden gem!

Where do I start? This cabin was PERFECT. The views, the location, the secluded feel in the heart of Athens was everything! There were deer in the yard and a Christmas tree in the living room. It had everything we needed and even things we didn't know we needed (a keurig AND a coffee pot?!) Home away from home indeed. No other place to stay when visiting in Georgia. We'll definitely be back!

Sweet Cottage with History

Perfect for a quiet and relaxing respite. I was pleasantly surprised to find this cottage nestled in the woods yet within minutes of shopping, dining, and interesting places to visit. I loved the rolling paved road about 1/2 mile long that was perfect for my morning walks. Deer, squirrels and birds were abundant! It was a nice touch that owners left an historical summary of the cottage and area along with explicit instructions regarding the cottage. The cottage was clean and had all the amenities I needed. There was an issue with the thermostat when I arrived but was quickly addressed by the nearby caretaker. I would recommend this hidden gem to anyone who wants to relax but be near the shops, stores, and sites and I plan on going again.

The living room is lovely. Kitchen very well equipped Need a light in dining room. Porch needed pressure washing. Very beautiful out there. We’re all over 80. Wanted to visit and play games. A little trouble getting in and out. Not bad. Needed to know about downstairs bedroom. Very difficult. Bed leaves much to be desired downstairs. Upstairs fine. Lovely all in all. Close to everything. Beautiful setting. Thank you

Zero Communication From Host

I will preface this by saying I cannot speak to the cleanliness, accuracy of listing, or location because I never actually made it to the property. We had an emergency that made us unable to travel the day before we were supposed to arrive. I sent a message to the host through the app, texted her, called and left a message and got zero response. I knew that I was not going to get a refund on such short notice but it would have been nice if the host would have at least been bothered enough to respond to maybe work something out. If you book this place which seem very nice, do not expect a response if you have any questions at all before or during your stay. Not a good way to do business, so for that reason I would not recommend!

This place was perfect for our time in Athens. Sits off the road, in a cluster of wooded home sites. While “in the woods,” it felt incredibly safe. The place is small, but you can tell the owners have put a lot of thought into all the small details. The kitchen had an assortment of teas and Keurig cups; the baths had small soaps and shampoos. The back deck overlooking the woods is a big plus. This was a nice change from staying downtown and we would definitely stay again!

This little cottage in the city was perfect for our stay while getting our son settled into his apartment for grad school. He needed to stay with us a couple nights until his furniture was all set up and having his own space in the lower level was fantastic! This clean, quiet, and comfortable cottage offered all the amenities of home in a beautiful, calming, wooded setting.

My wife and i stayed here for the weekend of GDay. Nice quiet location only a few miles from the stadium. Recommend this place to anyone. Will stay again if we ever come back in town.

Quiet secluded cozy weekend

Father / son stay and was perfect place. Surrounded by nature yet minutes away from UGA. Basement bunk bed was a bit loud but nothing of concern.
