LOVELY VACATION HOME! This Windjammer style home has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms, an extra family room, a screened porch, and an outside shower. The house is on a quiet street in the well-established community of Bethany West. This house is a quick ride to the ocean and picturesque downtown Bethany Beach. You are close enough to the fun beach life, amusements, and entertainment but far enough away from the summer crowds and congestion to enjoy peaceful days and nights. The community has 2 outdoor pools, several recently resurfaced tennis courts, and a great playground for the kids. Bethany West is also on the Bethany Beach Trolley line for easy access to the beach. This home has been updated with smart TVs, gas and charcoal grills, 2 Bethany Beach parking permits and has all the conveniences you need for a relaxing Bethany Beach vacation! No pets or smoking. There is a per person (above age of 3) fee for use of pool & amenities - $10/day or $30/wk fee.
Sheets/towels/paper products are not included, linens are available for rent.
Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and eChecks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.
VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as owner on this site. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. I highly recommend this house. Very close to the beach and very clean. Easily held two families of 4. Kitchen and appliances we new and up to date. Property manager was extremely easy to work with and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. Outside shower was really nice as well. Highly recommend. We will be renting this house next year

Great Location quiet neighborhood

Property was large enough for a family of 8. It lacked a lot of kitchen basics, wasn't clean enough to my standards and had a lot of quirks. The lights and fans were wired oddly and difficult. The guest shower sets off the smoke detector. The new grill had a gas leak that was reported and not repaired which resulted in a lot of uncooked meat.

We really liked everything about the house itself. The sunroom/bonus room was wonderful and all of the decks. Beautiful view out the back. Nice kitchen and dining area. Our complaints would be, hair on one of the beds. I don't think the blankets get washed after each renter leaves. Hair on the board between the tub and floor. The ceiling fan in one bathroom would not shut off, cord broken out. We had to freeze when getting out of the shower and being that we checked in on a Saturday we had to wait until MONDAY for someone to come fix it. Not acceptable. Also a two slice toaster is NOT adequate for a four bedroom house. Were were supposed to have two parking passes and apparently the people before us only turned in one. The person at Berkshire Hathaway told me there was no way to get another one... not acceptable. It's a beautiful house, and I would stay again if these issues were remedied.

Roomy though mildew/mold smell

This 4 BR rental had a spacious, renovated kitchen and an addition enclosure which was a bright sun room. We really liked the layout, open floor plan, etc. A big drawback for us was the smell of mildew/mold around the inside perimeter walls of the original house, which is where the bedrooms are. Rental agent agreed and provided us with 2 boxes of drying crystals. Prior renters had not reported any smells. Our family has asthma, mold allergies, so it was a big concern all week. Fortunately, we had lovely weather and opened the sliders and windows most days, which helped. If you have no problems with 25% mold smell, I would highly recommend this house. It is very 'beachy' and had plenty of areas to find 'own space' to hang out, such as living room, sun room, screened porch and side porches. (The owner reported that in 6 years of renting, they have had no complaints.)

Clean, Comfortable, Eclectic & Fun

This is my favorite type of beach house. Well laid out, comfortably furnished, and eclectically decorated, it was very clean but felt lived-in in the best way…it was easy to relax and feel at home here. We spent long stretches on the beach, but it was nice to come home and relax on the shady porch or in one of the two spacious and comfy living areas after cleaning up in the outside shower. The kitchen was well equipped for the simple dinners we made or brought in, and the big DR table sat all of us. Score! Big points for this quintessential beach house for the unfussy— our family of 9 recommends! P.S. A tool for unlocking bathroom (spring-type) locks would be a great addition. A bathroom door was accidentally locked from the outside as we were clearing out on Saturday morning, and we could not find the tool that most people keep above the door frame. When the rental office attendant returned my call, we had figured out a workaround…to which she replied “Good, because it would’ve taken me a half hour to get to you.” Not a problem in itself, but if a toddler had been locked in there, then there would have been. I’ll be traveling with my own spring lock picker from now on— it can be a safety issue. Simple fix for the PM.

We are pleased to return to this lovely beach house for the third time.Everything is in top repair in this beach house, the house was neat and clean as a pin. They have upgraded the kitchen pots and pans, as well as the cutlery since our last visit. I love the traditional Windjammer design of this house. It is open and bright. Our agent, Kim Rebman, was available, super friendly, knowledgeable, and available whenever we needed to tallk throughout the year. She has been our agent since we started using Berkshire-Hathaway.. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this house, and we will be back next year.

Awesome Beach Week With Family

This house is marvelous for families . My son and daughter and their families stayed with us. Three rooms had queen beds and the last bedroom has twins and a double bed. The kitchen is newly renovated and well put together with quality cooking pieces. There is a nice propane grill. The screen porch is shady all day as is the parking pad with ample parking. Bethany West is a quiet neighborhood catering to families, walkers and cyclists. It’s close to everything while also far enough away to be away from the crowds. We will be back next year.

Well equipped, comfortable house

The house was so cute and very well laid out, providing plenty of communal area to spread out. There is a great screened in front porch and a sunlight great room in the back as well as nice porch in the back with woods behind. The house really has everything you need, nice kitchen too. When we first entered there was a bit of a musty smell, but it went away or we didn't notice it after a few hours. I was initially concerned because i have asthma to molds, but i had no problems. Property manager Martha responded to our concern about it right away, bringing lava rocks to mitigate it. Martha was fantastic--got back to me right away with any questions/concerns and very pleasant and accommodating. The neighborhood is nice.. We rented bikes to get back and forth from beach--about 5 to 10 minute bike ride. The house is comparable in rental price to some local condos, but more comfortable in my opinion.

Beautiful summer cottage in a great neighborhood

We really enjoyed this house. Great layout and plenty of room to entertain for a large family dinner. Beautifully decorated. We used every room and outside space and everything was great. Tons of dishes and kitchen stuff to allow you to host a large group for dinner. Plenty of seating for meals and for lounging. We do however have some suggestions. Invest in a new grill. The ignition was dangling from inside and the heating elements are collapsed. We were kind of nervous to use it. Make sure company cleaning the house treat the outside shower like a bathroom and clean it. A nice outdoor shower is a great addition to any beach house. Lastly, invest in some mattresses. We loved this home and had a great week! Beautiful, functional, spacious. Loved it!
