About this property

Original Beach Cottage - Completed Renovated Inside

Location is the key! This cottage is located a half block to the beach and is one street over from the main street, Garfield Parkway. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and an outdoor shower. This cottage was completely renovated in 2006 and includes a modern kitchen and so important to a summer house at the beach central air conditioning through out. The kitchen has all new appliances, family size (92 inch) table that seats everyone comfortably, The living room has a new flat screen, with cable and wireless internet throughout the house. Enjoy relaxing afternoons on the outside back yard deck and quiet summer evenings on the front screened in porch. 3 bedrooms have queen beds and one bedroom has 2 twin beds. Linens (bed linens, bath and beach towels) are included from Memorial Day through Labor Day Week. (Please note linens, bath and beach towels are not provided after Labor Day week until the weekend before Memorial Day) We do not charge additional for taxes.

This cottage is cozy, clean, comfortable, and has everything needed for a relaxing and convenient trip to the beach. The interior is nicely renovated and decorated. The location is ideal to walk around town and to the beach. I would definitely recommend it, and would come back another time.

Charming cottage in a perfect location

Small cottage with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths easily accommodated our 3 generation family. We loved being able to easily walk to the beach and living in the heart of Bethany Beach. Beautiful gardens, ample parking, linens, towels! A hidden gem!

Cozy Cottage in Bethany Beach

Love this wonderful cottage in Bethany Beach. It was the perfect place for enjoying the company of close friends. Perfect screened porch for relaxing and a back deck that looks over beautiful gardens. We have rented this proper for many years and plan to visit again.

Great location

Came in town for a quick golf trip. Perfect location to restaurants and bars. House was very clean upon arrival and owners are quick to respond to any questions. Would rent here again.

Perfect Off Season Stay

Perfect Bungalow

Recently had a girls weekend in this adorable house and loved it! The location is perfect and we walked to beach, to restaurants, and the cute shops, loved being that close to everything. The kitchen had everything we needed, the layout was great, the beds were comfortable, we will definetly be back!

The host was very responsive to all questions. You bring your own linens off season. There is no functional onsite laudry. There is a nice screrned in porch and back yard deck area. The backyatd adjoins the back of a restaurant. The location of the property is great for access to the main street and beach! The complete renovation of the house was 20 years ago. We did not consider this a luxury property. The house was likely built 50 years ago. I would not say everything was renovated. The appliances are new. Other areas are very dated.Our challenge was with the upstairs "master" that has low ceilings on both sides, likely called dormer ceilings. We are both less than 5'5" tall but we bumped our heads by accident more than once. We moved to a downstairs bedroom that had the noisy heat pump outside the window.

Excellent beach cottage

Third time staying here; it's charming and ideally located. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is well supplied, and Bethany's main street is one block away! We'll be back!

Amy grew up less than five miles away from Bethany and spent her summers as a beach chair and umbrella girl. I grew up in the mountains of Vermont, but for some reason I loved the beach, so when I came to Washington DC, I had to go to the beach. The beach is where we met, fell in love and plan to spend the rest of our time watching our son Hudson, now 6, become a beach lover like us.

Why they chose this property

Location is everything, park your car at the beginning of your stay and never have to use it again. Just around the corner is the family friendly downtown area of Bethany Beach. Kids will enjoy the ice cream parlors, DB boardwalk fries, putt putt golf, the old fashioned five and dime and Grottos Pizza, all within two blocks from the house. Adults will enjoy the great restaurants and boutique shopping right in town. A ten mile drive in either direction and you'll find water parks, golfing, outlet shopping and other great summer fun activities.
