This Home is In the country just as the host described, which means, gravel driveway and no street lights. We loved it. This was our first Verbo rental. The host has done a marvelous remodel of this three bedroom home, from floors to ceiling and end to end. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, plates, silerware and the most important thing, two coffee makers, drip and Kurig. All you needed to bring is food. A large covered garage/ patio was perfect for warm nights and board games. Our dogs loved the fenced backyard . Just open the sliding door and screen porch door and let them run. The home is nearly half-way between Bedford and Roanoke Va. Just over an hour from Natural Bridge and Lynchburg.
I wouldn’t call it a scenic property. I had problems with a pack of dogs. Glad I wasn’t able to bring our dog, with that pack we would’ve had problems. The house was very clean. I had no way of disposing garbage since the container was in a locked shed. Glad I ate most of my meals in town.
Quick communication from the host. Kitchen is fully stocked with small appliances and cooking needs. The beds were very comfortable. Perfect for a weekend to spend with our daughter for a long weekend.
This location was a nice quiet place to stay, with views of the mountains. Overall was a convenient place to stay for a few nights with family.

Hi Duane! I hope your stay was wonderful. I see you gave us 5 stars in all categories but a 4 star overall. Please let us know what we can do better to make it a 5 star stay overall.
Loved the area. Was quiet, in a country setting, yet not too far from city for access to necessities (groceries/food). Home was as described and equipped with all the necessities anyone would need.
Fenced yard truly made for a great stay with kids and dog.All beds very comfortable. Lots of towels. MANY kitchen appliances, dinnerware, lots of kitchen gadgets.
We loved everything about it! Fair warning on the driveway tho, if you visit during a time of heavy rain, a SUV would be best over a smaller car. We will be back!
We stayed at this beautiful home for my son’s graduation from Liberty University.
The description of the house is right on, and the directions given to get into the house were easy to understand and follow.
It was perfect for our group.
I would stay here again when visiting Lynchburg!
My husband, 3 month old, and family were in town for a wedding in Bedford and this place was PERFECT! It gave us all the space we needed along with some creature comforts. Plus, it was way closer to the venue than any hotel in the area. Highly recommend a stay in this cute little place!

Nice view and great location between Roanoke and Lynchburg. Very cute home that was unfortunately poorly cleaned.
The home was beautiful and in a nice secluded location. The amenities were perfect for our family of 3, and the small dogs really enjoyed the fenced in yard. The location is close enough to hiking and shopping but far enough away to be private.

The property is located in a beautiful, secluded spot. Fenced in yard great for dogs. The road to the property is dirt, and has some major pot holes so slow going is the key. Rainy season must be terrible there. The neighbors next door have 5 or 6 dogs that run/chase your car on the way in. This was very off putting because it made our dog go nuts. At least 2 of these 5 dogs are not friendly, they just bark and bark. The pug will pee on all of your tires no matter where it is parked. We were nervous for our dog when she was outside in the fenced in area because randomly these dogs would show up and some showed aggression. A/C worked great. Rooms were perfect for us. Kitchen had no dish soap or hand soap so bring your own. Water pressure was bad. I am assuming they are on a well so only one shower at a time, if someone flushes, the sinks have no pressure. There were no paper towels and barley any kitchen towels. No cleaning products to use either. They did have a swifter spray mob with the pads and that was helpful. Food lion is 17 minutes away so my advise is to stop there on your way or plan on making the trip after you find out what is needed. We did get locked out a day before leaving. I was able to contact the host and he responded somewhat quickly and reset the code. As far as location, it was beautiful. There were donkeys, cows and well dogs. We did feel safe way out there. We were in Bedford for a wedding and this location and home worked great for our needs.
Stayed for a weekend. House was Clean and nice amenities. Would stay here again. Host response time was quick on questions. Quaint little house that was comfortable.
Not a lot of selection as far as hotels in Bedford and to have the family and our dog all together in a house was so much nicer. Beautiful home loved seeing the goats roam around the yard. A peaceful stay for sure.

I am in my mid 40's, married to an amazing woman and have a beautiful young adult daughter. I have lived in South Florida for my entire life and love my life there.
Why they chose this property
We bought this home because we love Bedford and surrounding area. Its the perfect place to get away from our hectic life back in Florida. The mountains are amazing and there are so many great local wineries and breweries that we can always find something new.
What makes this property unique
This property is nestled along the side of a mountain and there is a ton of wildlife. Many different kinds of birds, rabbits, and even deer love to visit our property each day.
Our neighbors have some goats and pigs that will come visit from time to time, they are all very friendly.
It is very quiet here, you will never hear the sounds of a passing car or truck even at night with the windows open.
