The lighthouse is the perfect place to stay when you visit Rock Hall. The house is spacious and just fun! The deck is the perfect spot for morning coffee and afternoon reading. Your a short walk away from spectacular sunsets

Very cool place to stay! We appreciated the cleanliness and the well equipped kitchen. It was a bit expensive for 2 nites in May but we chose to stay there because it’s a lighthouse! So fun!!!

Unfortunately, while the property has an elevator, it is not quite accessible. There is a step to get into the property and then another step to get into the elevator itself. The steps made it difficult to get into the property itself and then into the elevator. Also, the elevator itself is small and a bit tempermental. That made it difficult to bring luggage or groceries in the elevator in addition to a walker, etc. There was no chair in any of the bedrooms. The primary bedroom had a lowish bench which only worked to put things on. It was too low and uncomfortable to sit on. Also, that bedroom didn't have a closet so you had to go into the hall to use a closet. None of the bathrooms had sufficient towel rods to put wet towels on after using them. Also, the kitchen sink faucet was very loose and you had to hold it in place with one hand while using it,The final comment is that this is a house which the owners appear to use frequently and many of their personal items are all over the house. Examples are food, toilet articles, sports equipment. These comments aside, the check in was easy and the house was clean and easy to find. We are curious as to whether this was a working lighthouse which was converted to be a house or a house built to look like a lighthouse.Thank you.

Sorry to hear our house did not meet your expectations however I need to point out a few items. As far as having trouble with the one (1) step into the property and the one (1) into the elevator there is an approved aluminum wheelchair ramp for this purpose just inside the coat closet next to the front door. As far as the elevator itself being "tempermental" I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. I have a current maintenance contract with a local elevator company and it is serviced twice a year. As far as the bedrooms not having any chairs, i am sorry you found that inconvenient but the bedding in all the rooms is top of the line and purchased recently. The bench in the master bedroom was put in there for exactly what you used it for, not to sit on and that is to put luggage on just like the type you see in hotel rooms everywhere. And you are correct in saying that there is no closet in that room but if you open the door there is a 12' wide x 8' high double door closet for hanging cloths as well as shelving for any other clothing type items you may have. And last but not least, when you say that none of the bathrooms had sufficient towel rods I'm not quite sure what you mean. The MB bathroom has 2 towel rods on the entry door and 1 on the shower door as well as 1 towel hooks on each side of the toilet and another hook to the left of the door for a total of 3 and also 2 smaller towel rings next to the sink for hand towels. The other smaller MB bathroom has 2 towel racks and 2 towel hooks and the 3rd floor bathroom has 1 towel rack and a 4 level shelf to put toweling on. Perhaps I could look into installing an additional towel rack on the inside of the door if needed. And last but not least, the "Personal" items that are left all over the house including "food, toilet articles, and sports equipment" I'm guessing you're referring to the condiments (Salt, Peper, Ketchup, Mustard, Syrup, Snacks ect, ect). I leave them in the Cabinets so guest don't have to run to the store to purchase these items for a 2 or 3 days stay. I also supply paper towels, paper plates, trash bags, ect, ect, ect, and even K-Cup coffee pods and a few bottles of wine in the fridge as a welcoming gift if desired. Sorry you found this an issue but I've gotten many of great reviews thanking me for making these items available.

Love the Lighthouse!

Everything was top notch — clean, comfortable, upscale — close to EVERYTHING in Rock Hall! We really enjoyed the place and “doing nothing” with lots of time to RELAX!! Hosts were easy to contact and very responsive…great time spent in the Lighthouse!

The most beautiful and unique property I have ever stayed in. Our family gathered here to celebrate three birthdays, and we were all enchanted with the space. The beach was beautiful, the local grocery has the best crab for crabcakes, and Watermans has a gorgeous view. Can't wait to come back.
