Luxury Apartment in the heart of Diocletian’s Palace with large private terrace.

Luxury first floor apartment nestled in the heart of the ancient Roman Diocletian's palace. The apartment has 2/3 generously proportioned double bedrooms, large living and dining area, 3 spacious bathrooms and a large private terrace. Please note that the third bedroom doubles up as the sitting room and the bed is a sofa bed. The apartment offers all conveniences including, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, cable. TV with English movie channel, good Wi Fi connection, BBQ facilities and mounted hairdriers in each bathroom. We also have international power and usb sockets in each bedroom, as well as the dining room. Babysitting facilities and welcome packs can be arranged on request. Diocletian’s Palace is a pedestrianised zone, which means that car parking is a short walk away. There is a choice between paid and free parking, although free parking is slightly further away.The property can be reached by taxi or coach from Split airport which takes about 30 mins or why not allow us to arrange a private pick up from the airport for the same price as a taxi - we use Gecko tours, an excellent local tour operator who also offers a discount on many local tours (bespoke or advertised) for Prisca guests.

NB. Please note - this apartment is for a maximum of 6 people and unauthorised accommodation of any further guests will risk further charges.

Fantastic stay

We had a fab time. The place is nicer than the photos and Baldo the host was brilliant. The location could not be better. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone coming to this bit of Croatia.

Stay was great! Nikolina and Baldo took great care of us. Baldo took 2 couples on a walking tour. We were a party of 6 adults - 3 couples. You are right in the castle with everything all around you. Great stay!

Very nice apartment in the hotspot of Split

This is a spacious and nicely decorated apartment in the best part of Split. A renovated old building. Very good for a family with grown kids. The hosts are Nikolina and Bardo which is the best couple as host that we have ever meet. Good and often communication before and during arrival and stay - very responsive. Nikolina gave us good advice for small local restaurants with very fine food - and advice for view-points. Give Nikolina and Baldo a tip, they deserve it. The apartment was very clean.

Spectacular Stay in Split

We were in Croatia for our daughter's college graduation trip and found this gorgeous apartment within the old city walls. Baldo was a great host! He picked us up from the airport and gave us a bit of history on our drive to the apartment. The apartment itself was super clean and well decorated. It is located in a fantastic part of town and right across from the best coffee shop in the area. The location was super convenient to everything we wanted to do in Split. I highly recommend this apartment and would stay here again!

Delightful property in the heart of the old town

A very centrally located property at the heart of the old town. Being on the 1st floor it was above the general hubbub of the restaurants and bars below. The apartment was spacious and had all that was required for our brief stay. I would certainly use this apartment again should the chance arise

Croatian Vacation

The apartment is awesome. Spacious, well decorated, well equipped, perfect location. It's like it wasn't enough to be a perfect accommodation, therefore, they included the best property managers Baldo and Nikolina. They were always available, helpful and a wealth of knowledge on the history of the Split region. The picture and description are exact. If we return to Split this will be where we stay. I highly recommend staying in this apartment if visiting Split. Thank you so much for hosting us.

Absolutely stunning!

This was our first stay in Split and we enjoyed every moment. We were greeted by Baldo, who we can't say enough about. He is charming , helpful, and easy to connect with via text , email or just go next door. The apartment is very spacious. The beds were so comfy, which we often find is a problem in a lot of places we have stayed. It is spotless, well decorated and a great location within the palace. The pictures don't do it justice. We fell in love. Due to its location, We were worried about noise but we never had an issue. The patio has a huge table to sit out at night. We just can't say enough. Thanks again Thea and Stephen for sharing this lovely gem.

Great apartment in middle of old town

My husband and I were travelling with our 2 twenty year old kids so finding a suitable large enough apartment in Split was difficult. We were very happy with our choice, this apartment whilst right in the middle of all the restaurants and bars was pretty quiet at night when you close the windows and shutters. The 2 bedrooms were nice and 3 bathrooms very good and beds comfortable in the bedrooms however we needed the third bedroom and the lounge has a fold out bed which was very uncomfortable, however the room works well with a pull across door way. I think the fold out bed is more suitable for small children. If you are wanting to stay in the middle of the town then I’d highly recommend this apartment. The owner was easy to contact, the property manager Nikolina met us when we arrived and she was very helpful throughout our stay. The apartment has the best coffee shop we’ve found in Croatia right across the laneway too!

Perfection!

This is by far my favorite house rental I’ve ever had. It is charming and luxurious, spacious and thoughtfully renovated. Upon arrival, Baldo met us on time at an easy to find location. He showed my husband where to park the car for free then showed us to the apartment and helped with bags. The apartment is in a pedestrian only area, so we were prepared to walk with all our bags. He gave us maps and an area overview and was always available when needed. It was a precious experience being able to stay inside Diocletian’s palace. We walked and wandered and explored and just soaked it all in! Great location for a rental. We came with three small children and there was plenty of space. The apartment was perfectly accommodating for small children and even had perfect lights for night lights. There was a international, dual voltage and usb plug in the wall which was a very nice touch. There are reading lights in the bedrooms that you can turn off from your bed, how nice! The bathrooms and kitchen are lovely. The beds are comfortable, and the furniture is gorgeous. What more could you want?!? Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Exceeded every expectation

As gorgeous as this apartment looks in the photos, it's even more appealing in person. The patio furniture has been upgraded and made for an absolutely perfect spot to relax after a day of site seeing with a glass of wine, sitting just above the hustle and bustle. And when you're ready for bed, just go inside and close the windows and it's perfectly quiet. (Seriously, the windows are amazing.) The apartment is smack in the middle of things in Diocletian's Palace -- literally steps from anything you could want (a bakery and a coffee shop for the morning, dozens of great choices for a drink or snack in the evening). Baldo, the property manager, was exceptionally helpful regarding parking and other logistical details, and also provided terrific advice for what to see, what to do and (most important) what to eat. And yes, the bathrooms are just as spectacular as they look in the photos -- plus the water pressure is awesome. It's a bit tricky to get your luggage in and out (let Baldo help!) and you will notice the smoking down below if you're sitting on the patio at night (we weren't bothered by this at all, but it's worth knowing if you're particularly sensitive -- again, closing the windows in the apartment does the trick). Can't recommend it highly enough.

Amazing!!

Where do I start?! This apartment was amazing! First, the owner Thea was very quick to respond to any questions I had. Baldo, the property caretaker, was right on time to meet us where we were getting dropped off. He took us to the apartment and gave us maps, giving us a great overview of the area. The apartment itself is very big and clean with comfortable beds, and the terrace is great. We sat out there at some point everyday. We had been trying to decide between this apartment and another that was outside of the palace, and I can't express enough how happy we were to stay inside the palace!! It's such an awesome place to walk around. We were there for 5 nights and still never saw all the alleys/restaurants/bars. It feels like you will get lost and never find your way back, but you find little landmarks along the way, like a gelato place or a store that reminds you where to turn. We LOVED it!! There's the best coffee spot right outside the apartment doors which was super convenient, and the restaurant right outside our window was one of the best meals of our entire trip (and we loved the food everywhere so that is really saying something!). Our whole experience in Split would have been totally different if we hadn't stayed here, and all 4 of us agree how special it was. Thank you Thea and Steven!!!

Beautiful Apartment

This is a beautiful apartment right in the heart of the Diocletian's Palace, where you are surrounded by history at every turn. The apartment has been very thoughtfully modernised and has everything for a perfect stay. We were a party of two couples and both bedrooms were huge with lovely en-suite bathrooms so we didn't have to fight over who got the master room. The living area is huge and comfortable and these is very effective and quiet air conditioning in all rooms. The kitchen is small but fantastically equipped with a frig/freezer, a washing machine, washing up machine and all the utensils and crockery you could possibly require. Not that we did any cooking as there are hundreds of restaurants close by and every one we tried was excellent and very reasonable. We sat out on the terrace for breakfast each morning and for a drink before bed. It was a delight. The noise from the street and restaurants and bars close by was loud and bustling but fun to be part of, but as soon as you were inside with the doors and windows closed you could hardly hear a thing, and the beds are so comfortable. The owners sent lots of useful material before we went, including contact details for Baldo, who manages the property, and who is an absolute joy. We contacted him before our trip and arranged for him to pick us up from the airport. He sent lots of helpful information and web links before we arrived and was a mine of information whilst we were there. He knows everywhere to go and how to get there in the best way, and his recommendations were always perfect. His enthusiasm for his town and his country is infectious. We loved everything about the apartment, about Split and about Croatia. Can't wait to go again, and we would definitely book the same place.

This is an excellent property. It is spotlessly clean and has all that you need. The outdoor terrace was a wonderful place to sit and relax, away from the busy streets below. Baldo and Nickolina were brilliant - helpful with information and close by if needed.

Location inside the old city is amazing. Property managers Baldo and Nikolina contacted us ahead of visit and we arranged to have Baldo pick up each couple at the airport. They were SO helpful, nice and responsive. Great restaurant recommendations. In fact Baldo arranged a tour of Krka national park and Sibonik when our boat trip was cancelled due to wind. Can’t thank them enough. Also, property is clean, spacious and safe. Great rental.

In 2013 we felt it was time to make a second purchase in this beautiful, historic centre of Split and were fortunate enough to find this very special property. In April 2014, we completed the project and are pleased to make this lovely apartment available for others to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

It's a perfectly positioned, spacious apartment with its own very rare, private terrace in the historic Diocletian's Palace. The apartment offers access to a beautiful coastline, a great deal of Roman history and many excellent restaurants, cafés and shops. Even the local supermarket is a site of historical interest. There is an amazing fish and vegetable market a short walk away, as well as an abundance of bakeries for your freshly baked, daily loaf!
