A famous resort and its 4 nationally rated golf courses are just around the corner. The Shenandoah Riding Stable and over 40 miles of trails are equally convenient. The historic town of Galena is only 6 miles to the west, while the Diamond Jo casino and the Dubuque Dog Track and casino are only a little further down the road.

THE SPA IS KEPT HOT ALL YEAR!

DunPuttin Place has been tastefully designed and decorated to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests of all ages. However, pets are not allowed. There is no smoking, except on the outdoor deck areas.

The availability of rental dates is always at a premium. Please inquire for reservations as soon as your desired dates are determined. DunPuttin Place is located at 243 Blackhawk Trace (between Northridge Lane & Russet Lane) in The Galena Territory, Galena, Illinois. The entrance to the Territory is located on US Route 20 fifty miles west of Freeport in extreme Northwestern Illinois.

DunPuttin Place requires a two night minimum rental. There are discounted rates available for off-season weekday stays. Weekly rates are available and there are sometimes free bonus nights that can be added to your stay (please inquire).

Great place for family

Good location. Easy to find. Clean with plenty of space for family gatherings. We have a family of 11 (kids and grandkids) plenty of beds and baths to please all. Nice game room for chilling or place for a rainy day. Communication with owners was great. Would recommend.

Perfect for Cousin Fun

We had a great time with our 2 families, 7 kids under 15. Everywhere you turned there was something that made the house more enjoyable from games, to hot tub, to comfy beds!

Nice property, well appointed

This was our first trip to the Galena area and we found DunPuttin to be a great place to do so. The house is nicely furnished and comfortable. The hosts were very communicative and helpful. The amenities of the Territories are nice and it’s polity to all of our activities was great.

Thanksgiving Getaway

We stayed here for a family Thanksgiving trip. The house was great, and the game room downstairs was very fun. We also enjoyed exploring the area, visiting downtown Galena and Horseshoe Mound. In all, it was a wonderful vacation.

Girls weekend

This house is the perfect house if you're looking for a little getaway. Plenty of space we had eight women with us and did not feel crowded at all. The deck is beautiful in the hot tub was awesome too. We would definitely stay at this place again The homeowners were amazing even let us check in early that was awesome. If I could I would give this place a hundred stars.

Great for our sisters weekend!

This was a great space for our weekend together. The home was comfortable and had plenty of space for everyone. The location gave us the feel of being secluded, yet within a short distance to downtown Galena. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of shopping! We would definitely recommend this home to others. Great communication with the hosts! Thank you!!

Wonderful home in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very well furnished and the kitchen was well-equipped for us to cook meals. Great setup with the bedrooms on different levels that allowed our adult children to play games late into the evening when my wife and I were sleeping upstairs. Vice-versa in the morning when kids were sleeping late. The grill in back and the fire pit in front were really nice as well. Very centrally located with easy access to the owners' club. Hosts made check in easy and nice book of information. A great choice in Galena.

Eight of us stayed here for a guys golf trip. Perfect house for the golf lover. Loved all the golf related signs and memorabilia. We didn't have time to enjoy all the amenities the Galena territories offers but all of it is included if you stay at DunPuttin Around. Hosts communication was top notch from start to finish. Would definitely recommend staying here to family and friends!

I thought this would be closer to Galena. No connection to the TV. We had to TAKE our garbage with us......really? the drop-off site they recommended needed a code and had a closed gate.The basement was damp, so WE turned on the dehumidifier. It should be running all the time for dampnessThe hot tub was nice along with the basement game room.

Girls 60th BD Reunion

We had a great time at DunPuttin Place, celebrating 60th BDs with high school friends! Plenty of space for 5, with games, hot tub, comfortable furniture in a secluded spot in Eagle Ridge Resort! Prompt communication and resolution when a fire alarm battery went dead and started chirping. Highly recommend!!

Bummer

If you have any handicap people in your party, this is definitely no the place for you. The picture from the outside is not accurate at all. You have to go down some very steep steps to get to the walk way. The brand new video game did not work (which is part of the reason I picked this place) the owners had not idea how to fix it. My son-in-law was able to jimmy it, but only worked about and 3 hours after that. Other wise the place in nice, we had a good time. Probably will not go back. We have been to other homes that are more spacious.

High School Girlfriends Reunite!!!

This was just the perfect place for the 5 of us! Plenty of room to spread out, it was so comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and having the game room, the hot tub, and other amenities was great. Just a beautiful home with marvelous hosts. It's centrally located for all of us (except our friend in Texas), easy to get to within 1/2 day. We loved it and plan on returning!

What a treasure!

The description of this place sounded too good to be true, but it honestly didn't go far enough. DunPutting is amazing! The huge hot-tub is spotlessly maintained, the game-room has ALL the retro favorites in full-size format, and every room is decorated with a sly humor that somehow manages not to overdo the kitsch. This one goes on the list of all-time favorites!

Why they chose this property

After honeymooning in the Galena area and visiting for many years, we decided to purchase our own home there. We have not regretted our decision as we are excited to build many happy memories with our family and friends. We have rented many vacation homes and we have tried to give our house everything we thought was missing from the places we have rented. We hope all enjoy a stay as much as we enjoy being there.

What makes this property unique

Our home is conveniently located in the center of the Galena Territory/Eagle Ridge Resort complex. It is close to all amenities and on a main road, but it is located down a secluded ridge which gives it complete privacy. It is also adjacent to deep woods hiking trails. here have been more than a dozen deer in our backyard at one time and bald eagles have perched right outside our windows.
