Cool rustic with modern upgrades! Rare direct waterfront coastal cabin located 35 minutes south of historic downtown Savannah in a serene coastal environment in Colonels Island GA. Sitting on a bluff on the vast North Newport River, this direct waterfront cabin offers spectacular river views, not to mention colorful sunsets. The cool rustic décor, rare woodwork in all rooms and wooden beams in the vaulted living space make this cabin a very special and memorable waterfront rental. Feel like you are back in time away from all the hustle and bustle. Relax with a cocktail on the deck or dock. Bring your boat and dock at the private COVERED deep water dock. Explore the barrier islands by boat or charter a trip with a local captain. Bring your poles and fish directly off the private dock. Or if you would like to go the beach by car, head north 50 min to Tybee Island or south 50 minutes to Jekyll Island or St Simons Island. Explore the historic sites in nearby Savannah GA and then come back to this cabin and grill out with the family in a peaceful setting. The very nicely appointed cabin with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths comfortably sleeps 6 guests. Its rustic but very nice with all the new modern touches including brand new appliances, cool coastal décor and quality home goods/linens. You won't be disappointed with the MOONSHINE CABIN! If you have a larger group, please note you can combine this house that sleeps 6 with another rental close by that sleeps 8 for a total of 14 guests. 6 guests maximum in this Moonshine Cabin.

My family loved staying here for the weekend. The dock is great if you have a boat. The kitchen is well stocked and the bedroom mattress is comfortable. The back porch is spacious. Dana was easy to communicate with! Thank you.

My wife, son, and I enjoyed our stay at the Moonshine cabin. Weather was not the best but the cabin was cozy and we just relaxed and used the dock to fish when we could. We will definitely return.

Wonderful Escape

Our stay was great from beginning to end. We were there to explore the area with our boat, and this was a perfect place to start. The half moon marina is very close and they were friendly and helpful. The moonshine cabin was clean and in a beautiful setting. We will be back.

This was our second stay at Moonshine. The house was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The covered dock is a plus for sitting enjoying the view, reading a book, and enjoying life. What you see in the photos is what you get - no surprises. Highly recommend Moonshine Cabin.

Very nice cabin but the back porch and covered dock overlooking the river steals the show!!! Dolphins pass by nearly every morning and evening. Owners are very attentive. Would love to come back in the fall.

Moonshine Cabin - a great break from the rat race

We had a lovely few days at the Moonshine Cabin. The cabin was dated but well equipped with everything you could possibly need, all of which was good quality. The place was spotless. The location was fabulous and just what we needed - quiet and peaceful. We could never tire of the view from the deck that overlooked the river. The only sound was the birds and an occasional passing boat. We can't wait to go back.

Moonshine cabin met all our requirements: close enough to Savannah and Jekyll Island for day trips; far enough from neighbors so our dogs had room to play; something for the tween and teen to do while parents relaxed. Even checking all the boxes, this cabin exceeded our expectations. Very clean, comfortable beds. Huge back deck complete with more than enough seating options—and even an outdoor TV!

Great week at Moonshine Cabin

My family had a great week at this cabin. Setting was ideal. We brought our own boat and really enjoyed going out to St. Catherine’s to drop anchor and spend the day. My boys fished from the dock every day. Caught many crabs by dropping a trap on the other side of the river. Dana was very helpful and quick to reply. Would definitely stay here again!
