A Perfect Cozy Getaway!

We spent the weekend celebrating our bride-to-be with a very chill mix of excursions to Culpepper and Orange, and spending relaxing afternoons/evenings at the Farmhouse. We loved getting to meet the cows and enjoying the scenery away from everything!

Loved the house and the cows on the property! Perfect place to sit on the porch and drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. We hope to be back. We had a great stay with our friends and pups.

Our family was looking for a quiet getaway for the weekend - a place to cook good food, read good books, and just relax. The farmhouse was PERFECT for all of that, with a well-appointed kitchen, plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and beautiful surroundings. The highland cows were a fun addition to the experience, and the vinyl collection provided a welcome soundtrack to our relaxation. The space was very pet-friendly, as well, and the hosts were very easy to communicate with before and during our stay.I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway from the DC metro area in a unique house and a beautiful setting.

Picture window views

One of the few properties where I can see visiting again with my girlfriends in tow. Unique layout and space (but we knew that when booking) had everything needed for a comfortable weekend away from the daily grind. If traveling as a couple, you have your choice of a handful of spots to rest your head for the night. Kitchen was well stocked with necessary utensils for ease of cooking most our meals in and the pergola covered porch provided a comfortable spot for us and our pup to rest. Always appreciate pet friendly spots as we now travel everywhere with our little old lady. Great spot for photographers to test out new/old equipment.

The property is beautiful and quiet. There were enough rooms for our family. The porches were wonderful to sit and talk and read. We heard the cows, but never saw them. I later learned that they belonged to the neighbors.

An extended weekend with family away from city lights & sounds. So relaxing. We unplugged and played games inside & outside, talked, caught fireflies, ate s’mores around the fire pit, listened to the frogs and counted the stars. The cows were fun to watch while learning about the farm. The property was well stocked and lots of private sleeping spots. No TV was a big plus. A wonderful spot to make memories!
