About this property

Antique log cabin C. 1810, recently relocated and lovingly restored. We are approximately 20 miles from Charlottesville, local to numerous wineries, and 38 miles from Massanutten Ski Resort. Here you can enjoy a rustic getaway, with all of the modern features you need to be perfectly comfortable. You will find yourself surrounded by an abundance of wildlife: Deer, Turkey, Foxes, Eagles, Osprey, Herons and more (a bird-watcher’s paradise!). Look out the window and be met with top notch country views- 110 acres of rolling pastures, pristine ponds, and marked walking trails. If you plan to use the trails or ponds, let us know and we will be happy to give you a tour upon arrival! Our trout pond was stocked on 10/23/23 with 800 lbs. of Rainbow trout, averaging between 2-3 lbs. Watch the video tour to see a clip of the release! Many citation fish are caught from our ponds annually. A sportsman's delight!

While pets are generally discouraged, we are pet tolerant depending on the age, size and breed of the animal.

Quiet secluded cabin and property

Cabin is within an hour drive to almost any attractions you want to visit. It’s set up very well for guests. We did not need anything that was not supplied while on site. The basement floor is concrete and if you do not wear shoes inside might want to bring something to wear cause it can be cold. Wik, the on-site host, was fantastic and very accommodating and always available. There are trails on the site and when we stay again would spend more time on porch and property just relaxing. We feel this is one of the best VRBO’s we have ever stayed at. Lance and Shelly

Perfect Escape from the City

This stylishly appointed cabin has all of the modern amenities with the feel of an historic 1800s log cabin. Set on a working horse farm with over 100 acres and dotted with ponds, it was the perfect escape.

Super Cabin for Superbowl Weekend!!!

Our stay at this wonderful oasis was a trip to remember. The cabin was way more than we even imagined with the scenic views over the trout ponds and rolling hills. Horses Copper and Spatz were so nice to have as vacation pets right next to the cabin. The cabin was so nice and spacious giving us that feeling of home. We will be back and bring more family next time to enjoy what we had these 4 days. Wik was a great host. One of my favorite humans! Thanks for all the help and advice on all things... Beautiful Cabin

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. Wik was a wonderful host and great communicator. The cabin is a scenic drive from Orange but manageable. Would highly recommend the cabin.
