About this property
Central Cedaredge Cottage
This home makes the perfect base for a getaway any time of year! Our cozy home is located just off of the Grand Mesa Scenic Byway (Highway 65), providing easy access to a variety of outdoor activities and all that Cedaredge has to offer.
Our clean, quiet, and bright home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, equipped laundry closet, and living room and kitchen with an open design. With 2 queen size beds, a full size bed, and a queen sleeper sofa, the home can sleep 8. A small patio and backyard enclosed by a wooden privacy fence offers more space to enjoy your vacation.
The master bedroom is spacious, with a queen size bed, dresser, and comfortable sitting area. The master bathroom features a double sink, and a walk-in shower with built-in seats. Bedroom 1 is furnished with a queen-size bed and is located next door to the second bathroom. Bedroom 2 is furnished with a full-size bed and bookshelf. Each bedroom also contains a nightstand, lamp and closet.
The kitchen is small but fully equipped with a dishwasher, side-by-side refrigerator with water and ice dispenser, coffee-maker, microwave, and electric range. You will find all the basic dinnerware and food preparation necessities stocked in the cupboards and pantry. The kitchen is also furnished with a drop leaf table that can quickly convert from seating 3 to seating 6. Barstool seating is also available at the shallow bar height counter that divides the living room and kitchen. An exterior door in the kitchen leads to a covered patio where guests can access a propane grill and enjoy a small seating area.
In the living room, you'll find a 40-inch flat screen TV, DVD player, and Roku with access to YouTube TV, Disney+, & Hulu. A love-seat, sleeper sofa, and recliner provide comfortable seating. The home is also equipped with fiber-optic highspeed internet. The laundry closet contains an HE Washer and Dryer.
Our home is located within easy walking distance to the Dollar General, Foodtown grocery store, Subway, the public library, Pioneer Town Museum, and shopping. If you want to enjoy a creek-side stroll, an easy loop can be made from the property to the Surface Creek trail where you can enjoy the creek, ample shade, and a fun Story Walk. Main Street is also within walking distance for restaurants, a bar, shopping, the Grand Mesa Arts and Events Center, and the Town Park.
In winter, Grand Mesa has designated areas for sledding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. In summer, these same areas provide excellent access to ATV and mountain bike trails, hiking, fishing and canoeing/kayaking. Plus, there's always a chance to catch a glimpse of a moose grazing or wandering through the backcountry. Powderhorn, a small family-friendly ski resort, is about an hour drive across the Grand Mesa, with winter and summer activities. Grand Mesa hosts an annual dog sled race in January and an annual ultra-marathon race in July. Applefest is a large annual festival celebrating the local apple harvest that brings vendors, music and entertainment to Main St. and the Town Park in October (www.cedaredgeapplefest.com). The town also hosts an annual international serenity run in August (www.internationalserenityrun.org). Cedaredge Golf Club is a public 18-hole course offering a unique back 9, and tournaments throughout the summer (www.cedaredgegolf.com). The Grand Mesa Arts and Events Center located in Cedaredge provides a variety of fun entertainment options throughout the year (www.grandmesaartscenter.com). Pioneer Town is a unique local history museum open year round with special events offered frequently (www.pioneertown.org).
