Waters Edge Villa on beautiful Cowpet Bay, St. Thomas, USVI

Waters Edge Villa is in a gated community which overlooks the lovely palm-fringed beach of Cowpet Bay. This recently renovated, new to the market 2 bedroom, 2 bath condominium is located directly over the beach. The ocean-front master bedroom has sliding glass doors to the full-length porch and a second bedroom faces the garden-side. Listen to the sound of the gentle waves on the beach while you relax in the comfortable wicker porch furniture overlooking the harbor. Enjoy a refreshing tropical drink at one of the local beach bars and for dinner, walk the beach to one of the first-class restaurants or just relax with a cozy dinner at home.


This villa has a living room and dining area, master bedroom with a king-size bed and the garden-side bedroom with twin beds which can also be made up as king-size. The unit accommodates 4 people and has a fully appointed kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, coffee maker, plus a laundry room with washer, dryer and iron. Additional amenities include three flat-screen televisions, cable high-definition TV, telephones, VCR/DVD and stereo. FREE wireless internet is also provided on site. Although there are ceiling fans throughout the unit and central air conditioning, generally the prevailing trade winds keep the it comfortable.

The condo is beautiful and well stocked. The view is so pretty and we loved sitting out on the balcony overlooking the beach and water. The condo was very clean and had nice linens and great storage for our clothes. Newer kitchen and bathrooms and porch furniture.The 2 restaurants are both great and easy to walk to as is the pool and beach. There are some stairs to get to the water. This condo even had cable tv which was a bonus! The owners are easy to communicate with and we loved our visit!

This is truly an amazing place to stay.You cannot beat the location.The porch is right over the water which was perfect for gorgeous morning sunrises with coffee and a beautiful great egret who was on the beach below each day.Cowpet Bay has surprisingly great snorkeling (under the east side units), with a nice reef and the biggest octopus I have seen in 20 years of snorkeling. The beach is lovely and peaceful with plenty of chairs for everyone. The unit has everything you might need including beach towels, bags, etc. The kitchen is great with nice appliances and is well stocked including coffee grinder and blender. There are 2 great restaurants on the property, Caribbean Fish Market and Sangria's, and Red Hook is not far with more great choices. You are within a few minutes of the Red Hook ferry to go to St. John. While staying at Cowpet Bay West, you have access to the Elysian resort, including the pool and hot tub (there is also beach bar), but note that the Elysian no longer has a gym if that is important to you. However, the property is hilly with lots of stairs that can give you a good workout! You can also walk right up the hill to the Ritz Carlton where we were told you can get a day pass to the gym. There is also public access to the beach there, it is gorgeous and worth the walk over. Bring mineral sunscreen (reef safe) with you, and bring bug spray. Overall, I highly recommend this property. Super Spot

We had never stayed in the Caribbean and did a couple weeks of research to find the perfect place for our family with a teen. Priorities were affordability, cleanliness, safety, and a beachfront gorgeous view in an area with several eat-out options, nice sandy beach with shade trees, and clear calm water for swimming. We nailed it!! This spot was exactly as advertised with a view that’s hard to beat, relaxing beach and pool areas, and many nearby eating options on the property and around the corner in Red Hook and Secret Bay. The condo was a perfect home base for all of our adventures and was fully stocked and well cared for. We hope to visit again before too long!

Great condo in quiet and safe location!

Very quiet and safe location. Close to 2 restaurants at resort next door. Also close to Red Hook for multiple restaurants and stores. Best equipped kitchen in condo ever! Also plenty of towels and beach towels. Bill checked in with us after 2 days to ensure all was well. He was quick to respond to questions. We never contacted local property manager. Definitely recommend Waters Edge to all!

Amazing view!

The view was incredible! The condo was great, super cozy and looked exactly as it did in the listing pictures . Fully stocked kitchen, lots of beach towels and only a 2 min walk down to the beach. The beach was not crowded and I was always able to get a lounge chair. The beach side bar and grill made AMAZING pizzas which we ate frequently during our 2 week stay. We had just a great time staying in the condo and enjoyed relaxing on the balcony and listening to the waves! I would recommend to my friends and family. ❤️

Waters Edge is exceptional

Great location close to Red Hook. Very nicely decorated with all updated appliances. We mostly appreciated the outdoor furniture as we spent the majority of our time at the condo outdoors enjoying the view and the ocean breeze. Everything you need is there. It is just a short walk to the Yacht Club, the Caribbean Fish Market and Sangrias. There are always plenty of beach chairs available. The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. We had family members staying in other units T Cowpet West. Although theirs were very nice, this one was exceptional.

My fiancé and I enjoyed 5 days at Waters Edge Villa in January 2006. What a perfect get-away. The unit was very clean and beautifully decorated, we felt comfortable and right at home instantly. We spent a few days relaxing on the quite beach and enjoying cocktails on the deck and at the beach bar. One afternoon, we rented kayaks and paddled around beautiful Cowpet Bay. We dined at both restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. At night, we ventured to Red Hook (only 5 minutes away) and again found wonderful restaurants and some night-life. It was a great vacation and we are already looking forward to going back.

Great Property and Perfect Location

My wife and I recently stayed here for five days. The layout of the condo is fantastic with a well stocked kitchen and everything you need to enjoy your stay. The views from the Kitchen, Living Room, and Master Bedroom are incredible (Overlooking the Bay/Marina). The property is well maintained internally, and the external landscaping is lush. The place really is a tropical paradise. The beach is fantastic and it was easy to get chairs and shade for lounging. There are two restaurants very close (walking distance) that serve up good food (Sangria's for breakfast, Lunch and an early dinner, or Caribbean Fish Market for more of an upscale vibe). The owners were very responsive and available to answer any questions we had. This place is a true gem and we will be coming back!!!

Beautiful home in an excellent location!

We had a very good time in this beautiful home and especially appreciated the view and the short walk to an amazing pool and beach. The house is fully equipped with bedding, towels, dinnerware, cooking utensils, etc. - everything we could possibly want or need. The only difficulty we had was with internet and cell service. We were often unable to access either and are not sure whether it was the local utility or the home router. We chose not to notify the owner, as the "upside" was that we spent more time talking and enjoying each other's company without it, but wanted to note that this could be a problem for others. We were also surprised when the second payment notice included a 1500 security deposit. (Either we overlooked that or it wasn't in the property listing.) Just something to be aware of, as it took VRBO a full two weeks after our check-out date to return it.

Lovely place!

The location of this condo is excellent. Very close to Red Hook, where there are lots of great restaurants, and right on the beach. The views are fabulous. We didn't use the pool but we did eat at the on-site restaurant and booked a snorkeling trip through the on-site concierge. Both were wonderful. I had to communicate with the owner and the property manager during our stay - there was a pipe issue in the condo development and the water to the unit was shut off for several hours on our first day. I couldn't reach the property manager on the first try so emailed the owners. The property manager and owners got back to me shortly after and explained the situation. A head's up on the water situation would have been great, but it wasn't too much of a problem, as we used the restroom at the pool, which was still operational. The fire alarm in the unit chirped throughout the third night of our stay, so we just removed the battery (couldn't find another 9v battery), but that wasn't a big deal either. The large coffee maker seemed to be broken, but the smaller coffee maker worked beautifully. We also had groceries delivered to the condo, and that worked out very smoothly as well. The taxi services all are very familiar with the condo development and location, so transportation wasn't an issue (we didn't rent a car). There was a vehicle parked in "our" parking spot for the week, but since we didn't have a car it didn't impact us at all. Lovely place!

Highly recommend !

We had a wonderful long vacation in this beautiful, well stocked condo on the beach in St Thomas. From the beautiful decor to the all of the touches of home, the condo was a perfect pick for us. We had coffee on the porch every morning listening and watching the waves and enjoyed being able to walk to a delicious restaurant, bar and pool. It was perfectly located for everything we wanted to do including taking the ferry to St John, dining out, shopping and just hanging out on the beautiful quiet beach. Check in and out was so easy and there was a lot of information in the condo as far as things we might need and recommendations. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!!

Beautiful location and condo

This is a fantastic property. The view from the balcony is wonderful and the balcony is large. You can hear the water lapping against the shore even with the sliding glass doors closed! The condo was immaculate and there were so many little extras in the condo that it made our stay so much easier (noodles, coolers, paper towels, trash bags, spices, hand soap, etc.) The condo is also located on a beautiful beach. The sand is soft and white. There are plenty of lounge chairs and palm trees for shade. The water is clear blue for swimming and there are fish and the occasional ray will swim by. There is even a good snorkeling spot accessible right off the beach. There are two restaurants and a little pool bar which is fun for a frozen drink on the beach. I cannot say enough nice things about the property or the owners. They were helpful and easy to communicate with throughout the rental process and our stay. We hope to return next year!

This condo and its location could not have been better! Everything was exactly as described. From the moment we walked in and looked straight out at the sailboats in the sparkling clear water until the end of the day with cocktails on the porch…perfection! Perfect location for getaway

The condo was in an excellent location. Its beach was never too crowded yet it had all of the amenities- plenty of loungers, equipment rental, a fun, casual grill and a more upscale restaurant. It was a very short drive to the restaurants and nightlife of Redhook yet had a secluded vibe. Condo size was perfect for our family of four. There was a constant gentle breeze and a soundtrack of gentle waves hugging the shoreline. We would highly recommend Bill’s Cowpet Bay west condo.

Beautiful balcony view in Cowpet Bay

My mom, two sisters and I traveled to St Thomas for her 60th birthday and we had such a fun time together! Bill and the property management team was great and always ready to help when we had questions. The view from the balcony was beautiful, beach was great and pool was nice! It was great having onsite laundry and towels provided at the house. Super close to restaurants and even the onsite restaurant had delicious sea food! You may want to think about bringing your own beach/snorkel gear when you travel here since there weren't any onsite. Thanks again!

Fantastic get away, great location

With all the beaches to choose from on the USVI I have to say the beach on this property is super clean and nice and very quiet. View is great and the condo was clean and well kept. We will certainly be back and would recommend to friends.

Great Condo!

My brother and I spent about a week in the USVI and used this condo as home base. This condo is right on the beach with beautiful views. Each morning while having coffee and breakfast on the balcony, we would watch great herons (white and blue) fishing for their breakfast. We also enjoyed all the boats coming and going in the bay. The condo was very clean and well appointed. There were basic grocery items left that were useful. We made sure to leave the usable leftovers from our groceries for the next guest as well. The onsite restaurant was nice, but make sure to make a reservation. The diving along the left side of the bay was fun. Great place to be for a week. Second time renting from this host, and hope to repeat again soon. Great condo!

The perfect home away from home

We came to stay for a last minute mini moon after our wedding. The home was very charming, clean, and well equipped. Perfect location with incredible views. The host was very pleasant to work with and accommodating for check-in/out requests. Gorgeous updates to the unit. We wish we could have stayed longer! The views from the balcony were amazing - a perfect place to relax with cup of coffee in the morning and glass of wine at night. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Condo!

Perfect in every way. My daughter and I loved this condo! Very well maintained and has everything you need. Close proximity to all the fun stuff the island has to offer. The beach is gorgeous and the sound of the waves at night lulled me to sleep. Slept like a baby on the comfy bed. Gorgeous views! The owner made the booking process a breeze and checked in on us during our stay. Best place to stay on the island!

Wonderful Vacation

We stayed for a week in late June/early July. The condo is GREAT! The location is perfect, as it is near Red Hook, the ferry to St John, and several good places to eat. The pool is clean and there are lots of chairs. We spent several evenings and mornings just relaxing on the balcony. The kitchen is well appointed which made eating in very easy! The owners answered several questions prior to our stay and provided a few places to eat as well. We will definitely stay here again!! THANK YOU!!

Great location on Cowpet Bay!

My wife and I enjoyed two beautiful weeks at Water's Edge. This is surely one of the best units at the Cowpet West complex. Very nicely decorated, recently rehabbed, and well equipped. The location is equidistant from two grocery stores and very convenient to the west end marinas, Red Hook, and the ferry to St John. Great breeze off the water so no need for the AC (which works fine if you need it). Walk to the beach for an early morning swim, lunch at the St Thomas Yacht Club, or to dinner at Caribbean Fish Market, or just relax on the balcony watching the boats come and go. Sailors will love it! We certainly hope to return!

Great Condo, Great Location!

Loved our long weekend at Waters Edge. The condo was well appointed and had everything we needed. It is even nicer than the pictures. Only a 5 minute drive to Redhook to catch the ferry, hit the grocery store or dine at one of the multiple bars or restaurants. Bill and Lorraine were very responsive and made everything a breeze. Spent one day touring the St. Thomas beaches (including the one on property) and caught the ferry to St. John's the next. Can't wait to go back - and would stay here again for sure! I miss the view from the balcony already.

Literally at waters edge with fun view of 55 boats

Unit was well furnished with particularly comfy patio furniture, one new shower stall of two,...no tub, close parking, stairs of five, seven and seven which they all have..little tough in our 70's, three TV's, decent dishes, pots and pans, spices, cold fridge but ice maker not working, quiet neighbors, strolling beach to wonderful Caribbean Fish House with great live music (a surprise), good bedding, constant breezes that fill the unit with no need for AC that coups you up, Would return for sure.
