A-Frame Chalet | Floor-to-Ceiling Windows, 1 Mi to Bromley

Floor-to-ceiling windows, a soaring wood-paneled ceiling, and a
natural brook running right outside the door. The Bromley A-Frame
is a classic Vermont chalet on a quiet gravel road in Peru — 1 mile
from Bromley Mountain, steps from the Appalachian Trail, and worlds
away from the ordinary. Three bedrooms including a king master with
its own fireplace and French doors to the backyard.

Inside, the A-frame architecture does the work: warm wood overhead,
natural light flooding in from the forest, and a living room fireplace
that turns any evening into something special. The kitchen and both
bathrooms were renovated in 2022 — genuinely nice finishes in a house
that looks rustic from the outside. The lofted twin bedroom upstairs
is perfectly suited for kids or whoever gets the best view in the house.

Step outside and you`re at the BBQ grill with the brook running
alongside — guests consistently say the sound of the water is the
most peaceful part of the stay. The Appalachian Trail (Long Trail)
trailhead is 1 mile away. Bromley Mountain is 1 mile. Magic is 8
miles. Stratton is 17.

Fast WiFi throughout — plenty of comfortable spots to work if you`re
one or two people looking to get some hours in between adventures.

Quiet and enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Aframe house. It was very relaxing to sit outside and listen to the brook surrounded by white birch trees. The home had all of the necessities we needed for the weekend. Comfortable beds, cozy living room with fireplace and nicely renovated bathrooms. It was conveniently located near the main road. The general store was a great spot for breakfast and last minute items.

Beautiful location

The property and house are truly beautiful. Great for a family stay. Fall foliage views are beautiful. The owner responded to all of my messages in a timely fashion. Located only two minutes away from Bromley which was great. There was a ceiling leak in the hallway while we were there but it wasn't bad. It was just the two of staying for one night and I do feel that charging the full cleaning fee for the one night for just the two of us was a bit high/overpriced. It would be nice if it could be offered as a partially refundable deposit or discounted for one night stays. Especially if we are taking out our own trash and stripping the bed and cleaning up after ourselves. I donfeel

Thanks so much for leaving a review and for catching the leak. All fixed! In 8 years you were our first one night stay. Our cleaner charges a fixed fee per clean and does a great job so we like to keep her happy. As its rural there's also not a lot of options or room to negotiate on that front. We pass the cleaning fee directly to the guest. We'd love to have you back again to stay for a longer time. We ask that our guests remove the trash outside but any other cleaning or stripping of beds is entirely optional and a choice per guest. Thanks again for leaving a review!

Imperfectly perfect

Bromley A-frame is one of the most enjoyable places we have stayed at. It has the quirks and characteristics of an older home with well done upgrades to the kitchen and bathrooms, set in a quiet country setting. Kitchen was well equipped for meal preparations. Bathrooms updated, with good water pressure and temperature. Liked that the two main bedrooms were on opposite sides of the home, with bathroom close by. For added privacy, largest bedroom has door that separates it and the bathroom from rest of the house. Also, liked that living room fireplace warmed the entire living area up. Wood for fire was supplied and easily accessible to house. Lots of activities to do in nearby area. We are definitely returning with friends and family. One observation (but not complaint) is that kitchen and living room windows do not have curtains to close for privacy. While the area is wooded and mostly private, those who usually walk around in minimal clothing (my husband) may feel more comfortable brings a coverup. Highly recommend this home and area.

THE Diamond of Manchester

I mean, this place cannot be accurately described with words. Perfectly situated 10 minutes from downtown Manchester, and 5 minutes from Bromley Ski Resort, I couldn't find a better location if I tried. Then you pull onto the dirt road, and you're inundated by an array of the most beautiful fall foliage I've ever seen. You have to take morning walks down the road, past the farm; you see endless unpopulated land that I could stare at all day. The cabin is adorable, perfectly furnished, and 3 great bedrooms. There is no better spot in the surrounding Manchester area, and Mike is the best Vrbo host I've had.

Beautiful spot under the trees

This light filled cabin has windows everywhere and is tucked away in a private spot in the mountains. We enjoyed peaceful days amongst the birch trees, wading in the stream, or swimming at the pond nearby. Tons of hiking trails nearby! But when we needed something it was a short drive to nearby towns with stores. Michael was helpful and responsive to any questions we had. Thanks for a great vacation!
