Real Escapes Properties is proud to offer "Doc's Inn". This newly renovated 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath cottage is located in a small, upscale St. Simons Island community mere walking distance to the Pier Village.

Grab a rocking chair or the front porch swing and relax while absorbing the beauty of the Island! The front and back porches are surrounded by some of the most astounding oak trees that St. Simons Island has to offer. Be sure to keep your eyes out for the many Tree Spirits carved into some of the oaks in the neighborhood.

You’ll step into the comfortable great room with a fireplace and dining table for 8 people. The galley kitchen has an abundance of counter space and is loaded with everything you'll need to cook a great family meal. The kitchen opens up into a quaint sitting room separated from the Master bedroom.

The Master bedroom has a King size bed, ceiling fan, TV and full en-suite bathroom. Upstairs you will find an additional King bedroom with a TV and a Jack and Jill bath joined with the Queen bedroom. The additional bedroom has a queen bed, en-suite bathroom and ceiling fan. The cozy, kid-friendly room has a set of Twin beds, en-suite, a TV and plenty of room to read a good book. Sleeps a total of 10.

This amazing home is conveniently located in walking distance to the Pier Village which offers some of the Island's best restaurants, shops, The Neptune Park Fun Complex, tennis courts, and a tidal beach.

Doc’s Inn, located at 1048 Village Oaks Lane, will be the perfect backdrop for your family’s trip.

Had a great time at this very well equipped property in a great neighborhood. Although walkable to the pier area, we six elderly ladies drove. We especially enjoyed spending time on the front porch. If there is one thing that could be changed, grab bars should be installed in all showers. Always a pleasure to visit St Simon’s Island.

Wonderful!

Our family had a wonderful week staying in Doc’s Inn! The house was very clean, had all we needed, and the neighborhood was BEAUTIFUL! The house was within walking distance to the Pier Village, a short golf cart ride to the beach, and within 8 minutes of the nearest grocery store. Perfect!

Amazing Stay at Doc's Inn

I recently enjoyed a wonderful vacation in St. Simons at your beautiful home! The new home had everything we needed for a week long stay. Our large family (7 adults, 2 children, 2 infants) fit comfortably in the 5 bedrooms and the lovely cottage decor made us feel at home. The amenities were so nice we ended up cooking in a number of nights. I especially enjoyed being within walking distance to the Village and pier - this made it easy for an evening stroll and ice cream treat! Thank you for sharing your home and we hope to make a return trip!

Great girlfriends' getaway!

Doc's Inn provided a wonderful girlfriends' getaway -- great house, great neighborhood, great location! Everything about the house was as described. The house was immaculate, the furnishings were very comfortable, linens/towels were plentiful and providing beach chairs is a very nice perk. From front porch sitting to finding the spirit trees in the neighborhood to walking to the village and pier, there wasn't anything more we could have wanted. The owner and rental company were wonderful to work with. We would highly recommend this property.

Loved it so much, we came back!

Three generations of our family voted last year to return to SSI and stay in Doc's Inn. We loved everything about the house. Beds were so comfortable that we all got a good night's rest each and every night. The house was clean, very nicely furnished, and well stocked. We love the location. The neighborhood is close to the pier and village, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the village. The girls enjoyed riding bikes around the neighborhood. The owners provide some beach towels and beach chairs for their guests - an added bonus. Doc's Inn is a lovely house and very comfortable. I recommend this property whole heartedly.

Perfect for our family vacation

We loved everything about this house! The home itself was cozy, clean, and gave our group of 7 plenty of room for time together and apart. Comfy beds, a well-stocked kitchen, lots of bathrooms, and a front porch that’s perfect for both morning coffee and afternoon cocktails helped this home feel like a true vacation house while also feeling homey and comfortable. Highlights were walking to the pier to watch the sunset every night, meeting Walter the neighborhood cat, and easy access to restaurants and shops. One note—the beaches are a little bit of a walk from this house. We didn’t mind that at all and just drove to the beach when we wanted to go. The beach towels and beach chairs were a nice surprise. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great Family Vacation!

I am typing this on our last night of staying at Doc's Inn. Everything about our stay was perfect. There was plenty of room for our kids and grandchildren. The furnishings were beautiful, yet comfortable. Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Towels were plentiful. Beds were all cozy. We enjoyed strolls and bike rides to the Village. We enjoyed crabbing off of the pier. We used mullet for bait and hauled in lots of hermit and blue crabs! We loved our shark fishing trip with Billy Bee's Family Charters - a highlight for our little ones. We have already booked our vacation for June 2016 right back here! Thanks for making such a wonderful home for a vacation retreat.

A Great Place for Friends to Reconnect

We enjoyed our stay at Doc's Inn! It is in a great location. Easy access to St. Simon's pier, shopping and restaurants. Within walking distance. It is clean. Living area is small. Kitchen is well equipped but you will need to bring more paper towels and toilet paper, detergent for dishes and clothes. We would stay at Doc's Inn again!
