As a reasonably fit couple in our 70’s, we loved our stay in this mountain village, surrounded by magnificent wooded hills, with plenty of varied walks from the gite.
Inside, the house retained a rural feel and was warm, practical and had everything we needed. The family clearly use it themselves and it had a good homely feel. It is one room per floor and the stairs are steep, and it’s a long way down to the loo in the bathroom, but “facilities” are provided for night use.
It is about a 15 k drive up from Prades on a narrow, twisty mountain road, dramatically scenic and well worth it but not for the nervous driver!
We enjoyed seeing local life including la chasse on Sunday and the local guy with two dogs who does the strimming round the little village car park and the school bus etc. The WiFi worked well but we had to phone to ask for the code, as we did not find a folder with this or other information, which would have been helpful.
Thoroughly recommended.
