Detached house from 1830 fully restored near the owners' house with private pool open from April 1 to September 30. Heated from May 15 at 24 degrees and from June 1 to September 15 at 28 degrees and 24 degrees from 15 until September 30.! large wooded, fenced and flowered park of 7000 m 2.

The gite was simply wonderful. From the moment we arrived Serge and Beatrice made us so welcome. Everything we could need was thought of and the gite was immaculate - the pool area in particular felt like a slice of paradise. We explored the local area, sampled food and wine from the markets and restaurants - the area, from the vineyards to the beautiful villages, is just stunning and the gite a perfect place from which to explore. A wonderful holiday was had by the whole family. Thank you Serge and Beatrice!

Excellent place to stay near Bergerac

Stayed here May 2023 with a few friends and Serge and Beatrice's gîte was absolutely perfect! The facilities are excellent, hosts exceptionally friendly and the pool, gardens and surrounding area delightful. We loved Serge's collection of robots! Would definitely recommend to others and absolutely stay here again!

Magical

Just had an amazing 2 week stay at this beautiful gite. It is as fabulous as it looks on the photographs. Serge & Beatrice are perfect hosts and only add the welcoming and magical atmosphere. Would not hesitate to return.

Hard to better.

Our hosts Serge and Beatrice were very helpful and friendly. The gite is set amongst vineyards and has a superb garden with lovely flowers, driftwood and pots. The pool is warm and has lots of chairs and sun beds to relax on which stand on a beautiful stone. Inside the decor is tasteful . There are comfortable sofas, a TV and a large dining table. aThe air conditioning in the bedrooms is a real bonus. We had a brilliant week and will come again. It is close to Bergerac and its’ old town with many restaurants. The Monbazillac chateau and vineyard are very close by and well worth a visit.

This is a superb Gite which provided all the essentials to relax and enjoy our visit; including an extensive arrivals package. Both the Gite and garden are beautiful. The pool was large with extensive seating. The house was very comfortable and included air-conditioning in the bedrooms. Located just south of Bergerac town and the Dordogne it is ideally located to explore Saint-Emilion, Eymet, Issigeac, Monpazier, Molieres and beyond. Serge and Beatrice were excellent hosts and went out of their way to be helpful: Many thanks for a great week

Excellentes vacances passées au gîte de la salagre. Très bel endroit, on sent que les propriétaires prennent bien soin des lieux. L'exterieur est juste magnifique et il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour divertir les enfants. Un accueil également au top, merci à vous !

A week in June

Outside space was charming and well kept. We enjoyed the pool in the very hot weather. Plenty of places to sit. Very private.Some suggestions for improvement. Lack of hanging space in bedrooms. Hooks on backs of bedroom doors would be good. Mirrors in bedrooms should be a must so that you can dry your hair in the air conditioned bedrooms rather than the small hot bathrooms, one of which had no window.Beds comfortable but sheets and duvet covers a bit old and probably need an update.Definitely need a car as nothing local to walk to.Good lunch at Le Clocher in Pomport.Hosts were charming and helpful.

Fabulous property with warm and welcoming hosts

This is a fabulous property so close to Bergerac. Serge & Beatrice are extremely welcoming hosts, who have put a huge amount of work into the pool and garden as well as providing outdoor games and bicycles. We spent most of our time at La Salagre out by the pool. Heated to approx 24 *, with beautiful planting, lots of sunbeds, both it and the immaculate garden are outstanding. Proximity to Bergerac is also a huge plus, with lots of lovely restaurants, bars and boutiques. We highly recommend a stay in La Salagre and will definitely be back!

La Salagre - Pomport

The property is superb. It's exactly how it looks and described on the website - clean, comfortable, well furnished with great facilities - swimming pool and area around it, gardens, table tennis, pertanque, badminton, table football and bikes to hire. Great wifi reception as well Situated in a lovely and quiet spot, surrounded by Vineyards but not too far from shops in the local village or Bergerac itself - about 10 minutes drive away

Maison superbe, proprios aux petits soins

La maison correspond parfaitement à la description. La piscine est superbe et il était vraiment sympathique de pouvoir profiter des autres installations de loisir (ping pong, babyfoot, badminton....) et du grand terrain. Les propriétaires nous ont réservé un accueil tip top jamais vu ailleurs ! Ils ont vraiment a cœur que les vacanciers passent de bonnes vacances dans la maison. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour.

Stunning gardens and pool

Serge and Bea have created paradise in the Dordogne in the form of stunning gardens and a clean, warm pool in which our girls spent much of the week. So many places to sit and enjoy within the gardens that we barely felt the need to leave. Ping pong, table football, pétanque, badminton and bikes also kept us entertained. Lovely restaurants and degustastions nearby. Oh and the air conditioning kept us perfectly cool during the hot nights too. One of our favourite trips to France. Highly recommended. Thank you Serge and Bea :)

Zeer hartelijk ontvangst door de eigenaars Serge en Béatrice. Zeer mooi domein op een prachtige locatie met een leuke woning, mooi zwembad en zeer grote onderhouden tuin. Zeker een aanrader.

Perfect tranquil hideaway

Property was beautiful and exactly as described. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful, even providing a welcome supper as our flight landed late on a Sunday. The apple tart was delicious. Serge could not have been more helpful in recommending places to visit, markets and the best local wines! We have no hesitation in recommending this property if you’re wanting a rural, tranquil stay, but not too far from places to visit.

Wonderful Break in Bergerac

Everything exceeded our expectations, Gîte de la Salagre is a diamond in the Bergerac countryside, surrounded by vineyards, it has everything, Serge et Béatrice are wonderful hosts and thought of everything. We would definitely return.
