Victorian Villa Escape is a private waterfront estate with spectacular views of Lake Wylie. Host your weekend getaway here! We've converted this charming 1900's Victorian Bed and Breakfast into a single family home and it is the perfect location for your next family reunion/bachlorette party/relaxing vacation. Perfectly situated less than 15 minutes from Charlotte uptown, 10 minutes from the airport, and tucked away in a quiet, secluded cove. While quirky and expansive, the entire home and attached apartment has been recently renovated with brand new beds, appliances, linens and towels. Enjoy the beautiful sunset from our lakeside gazebo. Swim or float right from our dock. We can also heat the pool most of year (please ask about rates and availability). Come see the charm and beauty that Lake Wylie has to offer. Bring your own boat or ask about our pontoon rental :) Pontoon holds 10 people and can be rented from us right from the dock.

The attached apartment comes included in our rates for an additional kitchen, livingroom, full bath and queen bed (7th bedroom).

Wonderful home for a family reunion

This house is one of the best equipped and cleanest of any VRBO we rented. It now only has everything you want in a kitchen -- it often has 2 of them, 2 ovens, 2 crockpots, 2 coffee makers (one Keurig). It has many bedrooms with ensuite baths and lots of common areas for the kids to play and the family to gather. The host was super helpful on the two occasions that I contacted him. We would rent it again next year but the week we needed was not available. The pool was very clean with lots of chairs and pool toys. The gas fire pit was amazing. We had a great time there.

Awesome family vacation

Highly recommend.This property is definitely a hidden gem.Our family of 19 ages 2 to 72 and everywhere in between could not have been happier with this location and the home. It is definitely a quirky layout but plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is very well stocked and having two ovens and three refrigerators was a bonus. The outdoor living spaces are perfect and the swimming pool was used from morning till dark. We rented the pontoon boat and used it every single day. My family agreed this was one of our best vacations ever. The hosts answered all of our questions promptly. We would definitely come back again.

We loved our stay and were especially impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with pans, utensils, etc. The extra refrigerator was very nice as was the ice maker in the game room. We enjoyed our time at the Villa!

Family reunion and surprise 85th birthday party.

We stayed at this property in order to celebrate an 85th birthday and have a family reunion. This property was perfect for everyone. There were plenty of gathering areas for everyone to be together as well as plenty of space to spread out as well. The pool was an excellent spot to hang out throughout the day and after getting back from adventures in the area. Overall I highly recommend this property.

Magical experience

We came to celebrate my son's wedding in Belmont. The whole weekend was perfect. We loved the house so much that we decided to spend a free day just relaxing at home, rather than exploring. The house is designed for gathering together , yet everyone had their own space for privacy. The mist on the water in the mornings was lovely, the little victorian house is charming, the house was spotless and beautifully stocked.

Beautiful, spacious well laid out large home

A beautiful spacious, well laid out large home that was perfect for us 6 siblings with our spouses. We spent mornings going for long walks in the wooded neighborhood, swimming in the pool and taking leisurely boat rides along the river in the rented pontoon in the afternoon. Evenings were enjoyed around one of the 2 available gas fire pits where there is plenty of seating, as well as playing cards in the massive game room area off the pool. A perfect spot for a 4 day familym reunion!

Vacation with family

We were looking for a vacation where we could take our large family of varying sizes. The house was wonderful and The host was very communicative. We had a family emergency and had to leave a day early unfortunately but still enjoyed a wonderful time. We had a rainy day and there was so much to do we didn't even skip a beat. My family enjoyed swimming in the pool, the lake and just hanging out on the multiple decks. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped! We were very happy we chose the house and would stay there again.

Elderly family reunion

Our group ranged from early 70's to late 80's with some physical limitations. This facility worked perfectly for us in spite of many stairs because the owner has placed esxcellent hand rails wherever they are needed. We ALL recommend this facility for comfort and cleanliness. It was a pleasure to be together in such a convivial Lakefront Villa. Please note: the description provided on the website is exactly what you will experience.

Great place for a big group

I love that they turned this B&B into a rental place. Most of the bedrooms are separated from each other, almost all the rooms are neither next to or above or below another room (except the one room that shares a bathroom, which is more for a set of parents and kids). The house is very close to the airport, so it was easy to shuttle our extended family back and forth. Our group of 13 was able to spend time together, but also get away from each other when needed. We stayed in the winter, but would love to try this place in the summer time.

Great Family Lake Vacation

This was our third family lake vacation and I have to say this was the best by far. The house was beautiful, clean and accommodated our four families perfectly with all the separate areas. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. There is a room full of pool and lake toys and floats. Between the lake and the pool, the Grandkids were worn out by the end of the day. We rented the pontoon boat and enjoyed seeing other areas of the lake. Steven was great to work with. We had a couple minor issues, and he was right there to fix them. We do a lake vacation with the family every other year. This vacation home will definitely be at the top of our list for 2025!

50/60th birthday celebration

We had a family get together celebrating 2 sisters 50th and 60th birthdays. 13 family members stayed at the house and I cannot say how understated the description of this house is. It exceeded all expectations and then some. We have been in many homes with this number of family members and we were all impressed and talking about returning in the future. The house was clean and very well equipt. There were so many details that did not go unnoticed by all of us. The kitchen had more than enough dishes, pans, and utensils along with a laundry room full of extras for use. Too many things to mention. The property itself was beautiful and well manicured with gorgeous outdoor furniture and plenty of seating for all of us. The pontoon boat was fantastic as well as the fire pit area. I highly recommend this home for a large group. We had a wonderful time in an environment that had it all!!!!!

Fantastic week!

Our entire family (10 adults, 6 children) had a wonderful week. The house was clean, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful pool, and so much space to spread out. We rented the boat and loved to cruise around the lake. Fishing from the dock, kayaking, and using the large float on the lake were enjoyed by the grandchildren and adults. The fire pit and gazebo were also favorite places to enjoy time together. This is a perfect home for a large family with things to do for all ages. The layout is unique with 5 bedrooms in the main building and 2 bedrooms accessible from the pool area. Both of these were connected by a large lounge area with a TV and comfy couches/chairs and a half bath. The sun porch off the kitchen had plenty of seating options for our whole family to eat together and enjoy the lake views. The grill is now on a huge deck off to the side of the house. I think in the pictures it is shown as being on a small porch coming out of the sun porch. That now has a table with 4 chairs on it. We choose different venues for our family vacation every year but this would definitely be a top choice to stay in again. Thanks for a memorable week!

Great Lake House

A very large older home with nice updates and some interesting quirks. My family enjoyed staying here and had a wonderful time. Steve was a great host and provides a bunch of amenities not discussed in his write up. Main house entrance is far left by the welcome to the lake sign. It enters to the living room. 2 bedrooms to the right back corner - queen with small tub/shower, and queen with small standup shower. Stairs going up to 2nd floor with the twin/trundle room and huge master. Both share a large bathroom off the hallway with a 1 person soaking tub, and large shower and Hand painted vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is ok sized and is fully stocked. Lots of Tupperware, a Keurig with k-cups provided, a drip coffee pot, pots/pans, cozies, condiments, etc. There is a long sunroom with a large high top table and a small 4 person round table. There is a deck off this room that has a massive 5 burner weber grill with natural gas hookup (never run out of gas!). There is also a utility room with washer/dryer, 2 large coolers and a separate freezer. Stairs lead down to the basement with another family room and a queen with an extra couch and a stand up shower. That is the end of the main portion of the house. There is a middle section of the house that you have to access via the front or the pool area. This is a large area with a tv and high top table. Lots of seating, a wine fridge and a separate icemaker machine, small half bath. To the front there is a covered patio with tables/chairs and a firepit table. From the pool area there is the room under the apartment with a queen a full bath. Only access to room is via the pool area. Up the stairs by the pool there is a separate apartment area with kitchenette, full fridge, small beer fridge a queen and bathroom with clawfoot tub. There are mirrors running the length of the bathroom sloped walls that make for some interesting views. The apartment is on the right side of the building and has a front/rear entrance. The small house in the photos is just for show - it is not the apartment. We rented the 21' 10 person pontoon for the week and it was great. Well maintained and full of gas. There were 2 kayaks on the property to use, they have a whole separate room full of floats, games, a big floating mat for the lake, etc. They even had cornhole boards. On the negative side the walk from the lake to the house can get tiring. But that didnt stop the kids.

This rental was dubbed “Party Palace” by one of our family members! The house is described perfectly. There were 11 of us and there was so much room to spread out and everyone had their privacy. We were in Belmont to celebrate our son”s wedding weekend and this was the perfect place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and opted to rent the pontoon boat which was a big hit as well. We also hosted a bbq one evening for both our in and out of town family members and there was more than ample space to gather. Everyone raved about this house and we were fortunate and blessed to have found it!Steve was very responsive to all requests and questions.

A little quirky but great place for large groups. Kitchen was spacious with all the needed appliances with lots of extras.It's always nice to have 2 refrigerators and 2 ovens. The pool and deck set up was great and used often. We took the pontoon out at least 4 or 5 times and the kids loved it. We would return in the future. Our host, Steve, was very responsive and very quickly took care of any issues.Definitely recommend.

Perfect lake house

We had an amazing stay at this cute and quirky home! The pool was a huge bonus. The layout is a little funky but it worked well for us once we figured out where everything was. The owners have done a great job of making modern updates and still keeping the unique vintage feel of the home. We would absolutely stay here again!

Stunning Lake Wylie Gem!

Capturing the wonder of this stay in words simply will not do it justice. The views, the set up, and the house itself are amazing. Everything we could have needed was provided inside and out. This home is one of the most unique and beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. Having access to the pontoon and heated pool was the icing on the cake. On top of that, the host was super helpful and very communicative. They made an amazing stay possible out of a last minute decision to take a trip for our anniversary. My husband and I were able to enjoy the weekend with ease. Can't recommend this location enough, we hope to be back very soon.

Left unoccupied for over 3 years, this Victorian bed and breakfast had gone from charming to eye sore. In 2017, we stumbled across this property and fell in love with it's quirky architecture. Once we learned that it had formerly been an award winning wedding venue and B&B, we knew we could save this house and allow generations of families to continue making memories at the lake.
