Great location with great views! Very quick & convenient access to all of Sturgeon Bay! Cute little bungalow, clean with comfortable beds. My son loved fishing off the dock right in the back yard! Would definitely stay here again!

The location was great for us. We were able to ride bikes to dinner and the farmers market. It's also a stones throw away from a great park where we could fish or just hang out. Perfect spot for a couple with maybe two small children. Back dock is a great hangout spot and also has a great fire pit. There is laundry but we didn't need to use it. The owner was great, and even stopped by her jewelry booth at the farmers market. Would come back for sure

Great Location For Fishing Sturgeon Bay

Fish were not biting but the location could not be better. Easy access to town for eating, easy access to boat launch, and located on cut/canal off the bay.

Nice place in great location

We had a great time at this little bungalow. Very clean. Furnishings and amenities were more than adequate. Very beautiful area with much to do and only a short scenic drive to many of the other door county towns. Communication with the host was A-1 and she was very friendly, generous and accommodating. Definitely recommend.

Peaceful Retreat

We especially enjoyed sitting on the dock mornings and by the fire pit in the evenings. Very nice location in Sturgeon Bay and easy access to visit attractions. Ann greeted us, shared local places to visit and checked in to see if we needed anything by text. This older home met our needs for two couples and amenities matched description. Mattresses are very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cozy Bungalow in Sturgeon Bay

Looking for a great little bungalow right in the heart of Sturgeon Bay? This is it! Came to town to run the Fall 50 and stayed here and it was as perfect as we could have hoped. If you want the Ritz Carlton, take your money bags elsewhere. You want a cozy spot, close to everything, with a great host…this is your Spot. Ann made sure everything was perfect for us starting with check in all the way through check out. Can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Comfortable Bungalow

The bungalow was very clean and comfortable. Sitting on the dock in the mornings was very relaxing. Although we did not utilize anything but the coffee pot it seemed everything was there if we needed. The host Ann was very nice to talk to. We did not meet as we were never there during the day. If we go back to Sturgeon Bay we would stay again.

Great home base for our annual Door County Trip

We vacation in Sturgeon Bay every year and usually stay with local friends, but this year we decided to rent a cottage with another couple, and chose the Lagoon Bungalow, just off Bayshore Drive. This cosy cottage within walking distance of Sunset Park and gorgeous lagoon access was the perfect home base for us, and we spent most of our time in the back yard fishing, visiting, and hosting a party for our local friends, thanks to all the lawn chairs with their brand-new cushions and gas grille. The location was great -- just a short drive into downtown and up Bayshore Drive, but we didn't want to leave, for the wildlife viewing: bold mink who scampered across the dock, hoping for fish (we did a lot of this), muskrat, kingfishers, and deer. We had a wonderful time in this cosy cottage with the fantastic lagoon backyard!

Salmon fishing trip

The house and dock gave us a very comfortable stay......house and beds were very comfortable.....2 guys slept in bedrooms, I slept on couch.....best couch I've slept on!!! Having the dock alongside the house was fantastic. We fished the big lake so it took us an hour to reach the Coast Guard Station at the shoreline; which was a little on the long side. The house is located on the north end of the canal so it would have been perfect if we were fishing the bay of Green Bay. Our host Ann, was very helpful and gracious.....she jumped through hoops to accommodate us!!!!

the good, the bad, and the ugly

Good: location is great, quite neighborhood, right on the water, nicely stocked kitchen, close to downtown Bad: smaller than appears in pictures, when you use the toilet you have to be careful because the sink is literally inches from you, rust around drains and the light fixtures in the bathroom, no where to put clothing in second bedroom. Ugly: moldy smell in the house, worse in the main bedroom (despite an air purifier in the room), Damp-Rid (10) scattered throughout the house and almost full, general moist feeling in the house(our clothes that were out of the suitcase were damp by morning), uneven floor, sagging ceiling, peeling wallpaper, power cord would fall out of some power sockets, no GFI by sink in bathroom. No instruction given on the Mitsubishi Cooling system(told to read the instruction booklet on the table if have questions) We chose to terminate our stay as felt these were big concerns for us and not fixable in the time frame of our stay. Only writing this review so that others can be aware of how "rustic" this place is

My mom and I stayed at the Lagoon Bungalow for a long weekend and Ann was so pleasant and helpful. The place was clean and the beds were super comfortable. The house was fully stocked with all the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom essentials and more. Ann welcomed us to the bungalow and showed us all the amenities. We asked her for recommendations for restaurants and she texted me with a lot of choices and we went to most of the restaurants that she recommended and had fantastic meals at each one. This place is 5 minutes from the downtown area and grocery stores such as Walmart. We were a block from a bay off Lake Michigan that had a beautiful park, walking path and a private beach. We would totally recommend anyone to stay at Ann’s place. We had a fantastic time and will probably come back next year. Thank you Ann for a fabulous stay in Sturgeon Bay.

Lagoon Bungalow

We enjoyed staying at Ann's bungalow. So cozy well furnished, comfy beds, it was great to have a washer and dryer. Ann was very helpful and had great suggestions on places to eat and activities. The house is just up the road from the bay and a park. We would stay again if we are ever back in the area.

Somewhat Disappointing

Pros - the bed was comfortable, the inside was pretty clean, the location was good. You can dock your boat right outside the back door if you like. There is a nice park and boat launch within walking distance. Wi-Fi, coffee maker, fridge worked fine. Cons - What I thought would be a lodgy vibe was more of an outdated feel. The bathroom is cramped and has no exhaust. The bathroom window doesn’t open either. Cable TV cut in and out repeatedly and our host informed us of this issue when we arrived. We didn’t spend a ton of time in front of the TV, but it was irritating, nonetheless. There was a wasp nest under one of the eves and they were getting into the house. We did report this to the host and an exterminator was called and took care of the problem within 2 hours. We were thankful for that. There was also a major spider issue in the breezeway leading to the front door that we took care of with a can of Raid on the night we arrived. The front and back yards were weed-filled and littered with nursery trays of dead flowers and other miscellaneous discarded items. The outdoor shower was not usable because of all the weeds growing beneath it. This property was not well kept. We considered leaving a few times, but it was the days leading to Labor Day and we did not find a substitute location that could accommodate our boat. This place has potential if it receives the attention it needs.

Hidden gem

Super cute little bungalow on the lagoon. Loads of fish and birds and turtles to watch. Fire out out back was a nice touch. There is a little wood stand down the road about 30 seconds you can buy from. Very clean and very walkable to town. It was a nice 30 minute walk.

Loved being on the water!

Yes, it feels cabin-y and rustic. But it was perfect for our group of 4. Just a short walk to the local beach. A/C worked great. Beds fine. Sitting on the dock was peaceful. Better than I thought it would be, really.
