This wonderful stone house is quietly located at the end of a small road. The surroundings and the view from the terrace of the Ardèche and the rock faces opposite are spectacular. There are additional beautiful seating areas in front of and next to the house. It is only a 5-minute walk to a lovely swimming spot or the village. The house is very well equipped and lovingly furnished. The many books are also great. We used the astronomy atlas to search for constellations in the beautiful starry sky at night. Communication with the owner was very friendly, a clear recommendation!

Wonderful Views, Charming Home

Perched on a hilltop above the Ardèche river, you couldn’t find a more pleasant, beautiful space to spend your days. The home has all the amenities and is quite comfortable. Our favorite was the amazing views from the patio. The river and village are steps away and yet we felt a calm seclusion of the gorges. Our hosts were generous and patient with their time. Simply an exceptional place and we hope to return some day! Thank you!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Urlaubswoche in diesem Feriendomizil. Insbesondere die Höhenlage und der Blick auf die Ardèche und das kleine Örtchen ist wundervoll. Die Grillmöglichkeit haben wir gerne genutzt, ebenso das schöne große Bad mit Waschmaschine. Wir hätten uns nur einen Schrank für unsere Klamotten gewünscht. Das wäre es dann aber auch schon.

Heerlijk verblijf met adembenemend uitzicht

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in dit fijne huis, tijdens een hittegolf in de Ardèche. We hebben genoten van het prachtige uitzicht vanaf de verschillende terassen en vanuit de keuken, en van het comfort van het huis. Het huis was goed te ventileren omdat er 's avonds vaak een heerlijk windje opsteekt. De zolderkamers werden wel warm, maar het slapen ging prima vanwege de aanwezige mobiele airco. Onze zoons hebben regelmatig genoten van een avondduik in de rivier die op korte loopafstand is. Ook het dorp is op loopafstand, daar zijn verschillende eetgelegenheden en is vers brood te koop. Aanrader! Onze enige tip: wat lege kastruimte om kleding in op te bergen en een extra stoel hier en daar op het terras zou handig zijn, wij waren met 5, er staan er overal 4. Wij hebben genoten!

Dans l’âme d’une magnifique bâtisse Ardéchoise

Un séjour d’une semaine très agréable dans cette magnifique bâtisse, avec une vue superbe. Il suffit d’à peine quelques minutes pour descendre dans le vieux village de Balazuc et à la plage. La maison dispose de vraiment tout, même de plusieurs terrasses, ce qui nous a permis de manger à l’ombre quand nous le voulions. Super séjour, merci !!

Wahrhaftig eines der tollsten Ferienhäuser, die wir jemals bewohnen durften. Es ist noch schöner, als auf den Bildern. Die Lage am Ende der Straße mit Blick über die Ardèche ist einzigartig. Das Haus ist absolut sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Check-in war problemlos und Julie im Bedarfsfall jederzeit gut für uns zu erreichen. Ein wunderbarer Ort

Julies Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und der Ausblick von der Terrasse einfach grandios. Wir haben es sehr genossen, zu Fuß mit den Kindern über hübsche Pfade sowohl direkt zum schönen Badeplatz unterhalb des Hauses als auch ins Dorf laufen zu können. Absolute Empfehlung!

Drohnen über Balazuc

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Zeit rund um das tolle Anwesen verbracht. Das Wetter hat Anfang Juni alles gegeben, Sonne pur. Daraus hat sich der Einzige, erwähnenswerte Punkt ergeben - es fehlt der Sonnenschutz auf den Terrassen. Der vorhandene Sonnenschirm verträgt überhaupt keinen Wind und war somit nicht nutzbar.

Enchanting character house, with fabulous views

We stayed here in September 2021 and have been looking for an excuse to return ever since. The property is a beautiful stone building with a breathtaking view from the terrace, it's surrounded by gorgeous greenery and near the river Ardeche, (about 100 m). Great care has been taken by the owner to create a cosy country feel. It is clean and very well equipped with everything you need to enjoy cooking and relaxing. Each morning we woke up to glorious country heaven. Remote enough to completely unwind in the peace but close enough to picturesque towns Balazuc, Ruoms, Lanas, Vogüé and Labeaume. The large variation in altitude guarantees a rich variety of trees, plants, and flowers, the area around the property is excellent for spotting all kinds of birds such as nightingales, golden orioles, cuckoos, red kites and bee eaters. It's also a great location for exploring local areas of interest, we particularly enjoyed visiting Grotte Chauvet 2 Ardèche, recreating the magic of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Chauvet cave in a beautiful 20 hectare park. We felt so lucky to have the house to ourselves again for a week this Spring. The photos don't do the place justice all all, everything is much more stunning in real life. We couldn't recommend this property more highly.
