Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, Nordic Eco House is only a 4-minute walk to Ingles Market groceries and a 10-minute walk to the heart of downtown Black Mountain. This sleek contemporary home offers comfort, elegance, beauty, and unparalleled convenience!

This 876 square foot one-bedroom cottage is fully appointed with a spacious primary bedroom and full bath (shower) on the 2nd floor while the main floor boasts an open concept with high ceilings. The main floor includes a living room (complete with gas logs fireplace), TV, Sonos wireless speaker, dining area, kitchen, laundry, and half bath. Outside, you'll find a wonderful screened porch area with a table and chairs for dining al fresco and a wood-burning grill/fire pit to enjoy!

Located on the opposite side of the same wooded lot is Nordic Tiny House, a 1 bedroom green home that may be rented separately. For couples or friend groups traveling together, this companion home provides the perfect solution for convenient access while still affording privacy.

Please note: This home is pet-friendly with an additional fee. The grill/fire pit is shared between the two homes on the property, and availability may vary if both homes are booked at the same time.

An Excellent Modern Cabin, Great Location

I booked this cabin through VRBO and then got contacted right away from the rental agency. Response time with the agency was very quick and helpful. The cabin and smaller screened in outdoor patio are very clean and unique. However, the location is down a very steep gravel driveway (4x4 is almost necessary). It is also surrounded by the neighboring homes with some trees around the property but overall is private from the inside. The location overall was excellent as it was 2 minutes from the Ingles and about 20 minutes from Asheville. We had an excellent stay with our dogs and enjoyed the location overall, I would stay here again.

Little Bear Cottage Review

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this property last week and here are our thoughts about it Positives: 1. The location is great. It is pretty close to the town and yet secluded. 2. The amenities are pretty good in the cottage including the furniture Negatives: 1. There is no way you could find the place if you are coming at night. We went there at noon and it took us 30 mins to actually find the place. A sign on the road would be nice. Also, you need to drive down a pit to get to this place 2. There are cobwebs around the house when we visited 3. Though it is hidden down there, it doesn't make any sense to not have blinds or curtains in the living room or the bath room. 4. We had a large SUV but smaller cars might have a hard time getting on the road from the cottage while raining

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I rented this amazing tiny house because he ran the Spartan race in black mountain. I could not attend because I was wearing a cask from a recent foot surgery. I called Graybeard explained the situation. The friendly representative discussed several options. I settled on Little Bear. This was absolutely the best decision I could have made. Actually it was therapeutic. This little house was filled with positive energy. I love the design, modern and sleek. I love the stillness. I love the hawk and other birds that comforted me. My husband and I left better people as a result of our stay at Little Bear. Thanks for the great weekend.
