Farm living at its finest! Gorgeous views of open fields. Watch the cows frolicking in the pasture. See wild turkey trotting by. Watch the fog roll off the mountains or the gorgeous sunsets over the ridge. You may see a bear cub wandering through the woods or deer nibbling on the apple trees. Relax by the fire pit. Minutes to downtown Black Mountain where you can enjoy a delicious meal from the local fare.

The Turkey Trot cabin is a 400 sq ft, newly built Amish cabin located on the North Fork of the Swannanoa Valley. It is nestled on our family's homestead that was settled in the 1800s and surrounded by gorgeous 360-degree mountain views.

Sleeps 4 comfortably with a queen bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress. Full kitchen equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. Large bathroom with full shower. Cathedral ceilings give a spacious yet cozy feel.

Grab a cup of coffee and retreat to the full covered front porch to watch the sunrise while the fog rolls over the Valley. Grab a picnic lunch from one of many local restaurants and watch the wild turkeys trot through the field or the deer grazing nearby through large windows. Catch a stunning sunset over the mountains while listening to the cow's bellow from nearby farms.

Enjoy a quiet, relaxing evening out by the fire pit that is perfect for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. Perfect for stargazing!
Only 3 miles from downtown Black Mountain, 15 miles to Asheville or the Biltmore Estate. Hi! We are Jeremy and Lyndsay Morris, the owners and operators of Black Mountain Cabins. Jeremy has lived in Black Mountain on this bicentennial farm his whole life, while I relocated to Black Mountain from Spartanburg, SC in 2017. We enjoy spending time with our family, farming, camping, hiking, kayaking, going to the lake and the beach. We also love to travel and explore new and exciting places.

Lyndsay is a school counselor at a local high school and loves working with students to help prepare them set goals and create a plan for their future. Jeremy worked as a robotic welder for many years and is currently self-employed.

Owning Vacation Rentals has been a lifelong dream and we feel very blessed to be able to share our amazing small town and views of the farm with you! We love helping couples and families make memories and we strive to make your experience wonderful from the moment you reserve your cabin.

Black Mountain and the Swannanoa Valley is rich in arts, crafts, and music. It is currently home to over 200 businesses, including restaurants, bed and breakfasts, specialty shops, breweries, and a recently announced large manufacturing operation.
