Come enjoy a relaxing stay at the Masters Lake Cottage in the Texas Hill Country just minutes from Boerne. This beautiful house sits on 257 acres. Right out your back door is a private 10 acre lake stocked with bass for catch and release fishing. An additional 6 acre lake starts about 1000 feet below the dam. It also offers great bass fishing. If you like to hike, you will find miles of trails for exploring. There is plenty of wildlife to enjoy, including: whitetail and axis deer, bison, turkey, ducks and a variety of birds.

The house has a fully equipped kitchen,living area with a wood burning fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a study and a large media room with a giant projection TV screen. There is a full size, laundry room next to the kitchen, and a huge outdoor fireplace right out the master bedroom door as well as an outdoor fire pit down towards the lake.

The Masters property is gated for maximum privacy, but is walking distance from Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort which offers fine dining, golf and spa services. You will also find yourself just 5 miles from shopping and dining in historic downtown Boerne.

The smaller Masters Lake Cabin is also located on the property and is available if more space is needed.

Spring Break Family Trip

This place was a great place to"get away" from the hustle and bustle of life. You can relax outdoors and indoors. The property was vast and we could fish and hike to see the exotic animals. We all had a great time!

Rural but convenient

We had a great family vacation and loved the rural location yet convenience to surrounding activities and sightseeing. It worked out great for our activities in San Antonio, Gruene and Fredericksburg among others.

Beautiful Hill Country Ranch

This is our third visit, we come with our friends every year. The host is available for questions and help if needed. This home is so clean and has the most incredible view! This year we drove around the property where we could and saw so many animals, very amazing place, quiet and peaceful. Our favorite things are sitting in the rockers on the front porch and building a fire. I know you will love it as much as we have everytime we go. We'll be back next year!

Great House on Lake

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was very well maintained. There were some many deer and bison, amazing. We will stay there again the next time we come to see our grandkids.

Amazing property

My 3 grown boys myself and my youngest son’s girlfriend stayed in this property. The views are breathtaking and the property is very beautiful. The ponds, the beautiful trees and large amount of acres are so amazing and we enjoyed every minute of exploring. The house is so pretty with stone walls and plenty of space. The kitchen is large with lots of supplies. We couldn’t be happier and had a wonderful stay. We will definitely be booking again.

Relaxing hill country week

This was the second time that we have stayed at this amazing property! Both times it has been absolutely perfect! The lake and surrounding ranch are beautiful! Plenty of wildlife and the buffalo make it feel like a true escape. Richard has always been a gracious host and a pleasure to deal with. Can’t wait to come back to this serene sanctuary!

Annual Family Vacation

Our family booked both the Masters Cottage and Cabin for the second time for an annual family trip. We were blown away once again by this place’s beauty and charm. We spent 4 days here enjoying the scenery, wildlife, fishing, and family time. Both homes have everything you need plus more! Each family member gave it 5 stars. Beautiful place

It was a beautiful property far enough away from any traffic but close enough to convenience surrounded by the hills and scenery. We were lucky to wake up and see buffalo roam close to the house from our bedroom and porch areas as well as huge herds of access dear.

Slice of Heaven

We were in town for a National tournament in San Antonio and wanted a country respite. The house was perfect for our family and the land was beautiful! Every day you could see wildlife and the peace of the land was bountiful! We will be back! Thank you!

Family Thanksgiving

Three generations of our family gathered here for Thanksgiving and this place is perfect inside and outside. Beautifully appointed and well maintained. There were no complaints or problems. In fact, my wife and I look forward to staying here again in the spring.

Hill country stay…

Cabin was very clean, had everything we needed and property contact Richard was extremely attentive. The property is absolutely amazing. From the beautiful private lakes to all the wildlife. Roaring axis deer and beautiful grazing bison. So close to town yet you feel you are away on your own private ranch. Right next to a golf course and dining at Tapitio, but we did not want to leave. Grill and kitchen was perfect for our family stay. A hidden hill country oasis.

A Little Slice of Heaven

We truly enjoyed our time at the Masters Lake Cottage and Cabin. We got to take advantage of outdoor cooking and some good fishing. The bison and Axis deer were beautiful to view on this little slice of heaven. We had 8 all together and we fit comfortably with the two houses. We would definitely recommend this place for families looking to enjoy the great outdoors. We will be back!

The Masters Cottage

My husband and I recently spent a few days at The Masters Cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house was very clean and had many amenities, and the property included a small private lake just a few steps away. We woke up the first morning and looked out the window to see 19 bison grazing around the lake. My husband caught lots of bass while fishing at the stocked lake too. We hope to come back soon!

Stay here!!!

This was a stunning property! Felt like we won the lottery; nothing quite like waking up to a herd of bison in the backyard and seeing my kids faces light up. These were the only bison we saw our whole trip too - it was unique. The home was spacious and graciously decorated. All furniture/beds were comfy and it was squeaky clean. We drove our rental car all over the property roads and really enjoyed our private slice of heaven. Also - the town of Boerne was ADORABLE with tons of restaurants and shops. We’d explore/do day trips but loved coming back home to this amazing property. Cut firewood is behind the fireplace by the master….we figured that out after picking up sticks all over the yard - lol. Highly recommended - we are already planning a trip back!

Perfect getaway!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The host went out if his way to be helpful and accommodating. This home is beautiful, cozy, and CLEAN!!! The property provided days of adventure hiking, fishing, kayaking, and spending hours by the fire pits playing games and making smores. The lake provided the perfect backdrop for a surprise marriage proposal for our daughter! Idaughter down by the lake
