Francois’ houses in Honfleur – Les Maisons De François à Honfleur LMDFH – are two first-class houses nestled at the heart of Honfleur. I have renovated, furnished, and decorated LMDFH with the greatest care to welcome you.

I personally very often use each of the LMDFH, and I take pleasure to welcome friends and family.

The Grey House is the largest LMDFH : located in the heart of Honfleur, just 5 minutes walk from the old harbour “le vieux bassin”, our holiday cottage can host up to 6 guests comfortably.

You will enjoy the dedicated Home Cinema room with its giant screen, the large kitchen opening onto the terrace and the garden, and the cosy sitting room with its log fireplace.

On your arrival, you can park on the private space reserved for you close to the house – a privilege in the historic district.

A minimarket is available down the street. And you are within 5 minutes walk of Honfleur restaurants, bars, art galleries, museums, shops, etc…

The house is on 3 floors :
- Ground floor : Garden, terrace, large kitchen fully equipped where you can cook and eat together. You can also eat or relax outside.
- First floor : the lounge area with the log fireplace, a small office, a bathroom with toilets, and a large bedroom with a double bed.
- Second floor : dedicated Home Cinema room that is also often used as a playroom by children, one bedroom with a double bed, and another bedroom with two beds (twin).

This is a connected house, equipped with the latest technology in Smart Home.
If you like technology, you will enjoy living the connected experience.
If you are not too much into high tech, just ignore this feature.

- Washer / dryer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, food processor, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, cutlery, plates, etc…
- Wifi on all floors
- Speakers on all floors to broadcast radio channels or your own digital music (iPhone or Android)
- DVDs and Cable TV in the home cinema (French and English)
- Books (French and some in English) and board games

The fireplace is operational from mid-October to mid-April.


The parking space is located in a modern building 150 metres away from the house. The parking space is 2,45m wide and 7,80m long. Height is limited to 1,98 meters. There are no additional charges for using this space.

Stairs information: the Grey House is a house on 3 floors. There are therefore 2 staircases, steep and narrow as is often the case in Honfleur's houses. If one of the travelers has difficulty climbing a flight of stairs, we invite you to book a single-storey cottage.

Lovely property in great area

Really nice property with well stocked kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer). Lots of info on Honfleur at the property and within walking distance of town/beach/parks. Really recommend.

Amazing house and wonderful owner!

This was such an amazing house and stay! The place is spotless and so organized! The kitchen and appliances are top rate and new, making it so easy to keep up with laundry and dishes (family of 5!). The cinema was awesome and definitely a kid favorite. And the owner was so nice and easy to work with. Definite 5+*s!!

Good location with parking

Well positioned with a short 3 minute walk to the shops and the parking space, which was greatly appreciated with a motorbike out of the sun. My husband loved the huge cinema room and the many films available to use and the options for other programs to use on the TV. The house was on three floors with one bathroom and a lovely cool breeze flowed through the house to keep it cool. There was a fan in one room if you needed it. It was a very quiet and peaceful area. The bedroom overlooked next door's garden, which had many wonderful roses. The house is on a fairly steep hill but we found if you walked up from town by taking the road inland, you then only had one small hill rather than two from the harbourside. There are so many restaurants in Honfleur, we didn't use the kitchen much other than for making baguette and cheese. The Casino supermarket was close and well stocked though. The owner was very quick to respond to questions before our stay and the guide books for using the house were very comprehensive.

Aangenaam huisje met alles aanwezig. Wel spijtig als je voor 5 dagen gaat maar 1 handdoek pp aanwezig. Belangrijk is ook dat het huisje op een helling ligt.Dus is het eventjes klimmen.

Ein Haus voller Überraschungen

Typisches Altstadthaus, geschmackvoll renoviert und eingerichtet. Uns hat im Speziellen die gut ausgestattete Küche mit dem Innenhof, wo in Ruhe gegessen und gelesen werden kann, gefallen. Die Schlafzimmer sind eher eng, hat uns persönlich jedoch nicht gestört, da es z.B. den sehr grosszügigen TV-Raum gibt. Der Abstellplatz fürs Auto ist in kurzer Gehdistanz, hier in den engen Gassen keine Selbstverständlichkeit, sowas zur Verfügung zu haben.

A great stay at The Grey House

We enjoyed an excellent week at The Grey House. The house is really well situated within walking distance of all of Honfleur's restaurants, bars and shops. The private parking space nearby was an added bonus too. The house was clean, well equipped and had plenty of space for 6 of us. Francois' communication from start to finish was superb; he was a very attentive host. One minor issue was dealt with immediately which was fantastic! We appreciated the lists of recommended shops and restaurants too. Merci beaucoup-nous avons passe un tres bon sejour!

Maison de ville à proximité du centre d'Honfleur

Maison de ville moderne sur 3 niveaux (attention les escaliers sont assez raides). Nous y avons passé un week end agréable en janvier. Le centre d'Honfleur est à 5/6 minutes à pied. On a apprécié la cheminée, la cuisine fonctionnelle et le home cinema au dernier étage.

Sehr nettes kleines Häuschen!

Geschmackvoll renoviertes & praktisch eingerichtetes Ferienhaus. Angebot der Tiefgarage im engen Honfleur sehr vorteilhaft. Kontakt mit dem Vermieter und Argentur sehr nett und unkompliziert. Nur die Sauberkeit ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Staub an allen Ecken. Bettwäsche und Handtücher ok!

The grey house à Honfleur

The Grey House est très bien situé à Honfleur dans le centre-ville. Le home Cinema est parfait et la maison est complètement connectée : Tout est géré depuis des tablettes : le chauffage, la musique, la télé, l'éclairage... Le propriétaire bien que n'étant pas sur place a une vraie culture de l'hospitalité et de l'accueil. Il tient à ce que ses hôtes se sentent bien et ne manquent de rien. Merci.

Nice location, close to the center of Honfleur

Francois, the owner of the Grey House, is very service minded and helpfull. In our case the checkin seemed to be a little chaotic but not a real big issue for us. Apart from an issue with the shower, which was quickly fixed, the house is great, especially the the sound system, the nice lightning system and the cinema on the top floor are great. Also the well equiped kitchen was a big plus. The parking for the car is very convenient, since parking in Honfleur can be a nightmare. We enjoyed our stay here. Dennis

perfekter Sommerurlaub

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Das Haus zeigt eine sehr geschmackvolle Verbindung zwischen Modern, Style und Alt und macht Spaß durch den Einbau der modernen Technologie. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Wir können die Fewo nur weiter empfehlen.
