Lakeview Retreat at Rumbling Bald

This home was designed with you in mind! It features two Owner Suites with plush King beds, two guest rooms that can accommodate up to four more guests, Queen pullout sofa and futon allows up to 12 people.  Lakeview also includes a billiard table, ping pong table, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, flat screen TVs in all bedrooms, wireless internet, board games, two living areas, dining for 12, an enormous deck with gas grill, AND within walking distance to amenities. This home comes with a washer/dryer Take advantage of all the property offers: golfing, fishing, hiking, swimming, watercraft rentals, three restaurants, tennis/pickleball courts, basketball courts, mini golf course, scenic cruises, and a spa and salon for all those updo hairstyles or winding down. This magnificent home truly has it all. Come see for yourself!

This house requires a 7-night minimum during peak season from Sunday to Sunday. Three night minimum available from September - May.  
CANCELLATIONS/TRANSFERS. Requests must be in writing and received by a Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure rental agent. In the event Tenant must cancel this reservation more than 45 day prior to arrival, Tenant shall receive a refund of all payments made, less a cancellation fee of $75.00. Cancellations that occur within 45 to 15 days prior to arrival will be charged a cancellation fee of 25% of the total reservation charges. Cancellations which occur within 14 days of arrival will be subject to a cancellation charge equal to the amount of the reservation. NO refunds will be given for early departures or unused portions of packages.

HOUSEKEEPING SUPPLIES: There is a one-two day starter supply of items such as coffee packets, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent (where appropriate), shampoo, and soap that has been supplied for your vacation rental. All towels, sheets, and linens are provided for the allowed occupancy number of each unit.  There is no housekeeping service provided during your stay. If you run out of any starter supplies, you many purchase these at Apple Valley Market or Ingles Grocery.

Gorgeous setting for relaxing weekend

We loved our stay at Lake Lure. The views were awesome. It was easy to get around the town but quiet enough to relax. The amenities at the house were great for kids. Could have been a little cleaner. Loved the fire pit!

Highly Recommended - Lots of space and amenities

Lakeview Retreat far exceeded my expectations! The house was immaculate and very spacious for our family. I love to cook so I immediately fell in love with the kitchen with all of the appliances, dishes, and cookware along. The kitchen also had a Keurig that I was not aware of so we brought filter coffee packs (mentioning this for the coffee lovers so they will know). The house has 3 levels which was good for my family which included my 2 daughters, sons-in-law and grandbaby. Everyone had their own floor with a full bath. The ping pong and pool table were a lot of fun (especially since it rained during our stay) and the hot tub was the best one I have ever been in with the different massage features. The spacious deck has nice furniture for relaxing and a grill that makes great hamburgers! The resort's indoor pool was great since the weather was rainy and cool. I did get to go walk on the beach before I left and it is so beautiful and peaceful. The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't have more time to visit. This host of this house has it stocked with so many things that all you need to bring is the food if you choose to cook. We definitely felt at home from the minute we pulled into the driveway. I spend many hours searching for the perfect place before booking my vacations and the search for this was one was the best ever! If you are not sure where to book, you will not be disappointed with this home. I can't wait to visit again!

What makes this property unique

Rumbling Bald Resort is situated at the base of Rumbling Bald Mountain. The mountain was originally called Bald Mountain, named after the sheer rock-face of the mountain. In 1874 there was a large earthquake at Bald Mountain, which in the words of the residents caused the earth to “rumble”. Soon after the earthquake, the name was changed to Rumbling Bald Mountain. This majestic mountain, which can be seen from miles away, towers over the north end of Lake Lure and the Resort that bears its name.

During the past 70 years Rumbling Bald Resort has has grown from a solitary boat house on a beautiful mountain lake into a thriving 3600 acre mountain resort community. Today we serve hundreds of guests from around the world who come to vacation and enjoy a tremendous variety of outdoor lake activities, soothing spa treatments, excellent golf courses, and the simple beauty of mountain life. Over time many guests have become property owners, many of which reside at Rumbling Bald Resort full-time and participate in the community on a daily basis.
