Welcome to Dancing Waters Lodge! This home is on Bald Mountain Lake, which was not impacted by Helene. And great LURE REOPENS MAY 2026! Dancing Waters Lodge is a spacious, two level Lakefront/Mountain home on Bald Mt. Lake, within the gated Rumbling Bald community. 5 Bedrooms with Queen Beds, 3.5 Baths and 1-queen sleeper sofa - perfect for family vacations, friends gatherings, holidays, retreats, reunions. This home is a short walk to the Rumbling Bald beach, restaurants and amenities. As guests at Dancing Waters Lodge you’ll have access to all Rumbling Bald amenities. Guest Passes are provided. Enjoy the two 18-hole championship golf courses (fees apply), driving ranges, restaurants, outdoor pool with lazy river, indoor pool, whirlpool, steam and dry saunas, fitness center, spa/salon, year-round hiking, and seasonal special events.

Chimney Rock Village restaurants, Chimney Rock State Park, area wineries, breweries, live music, hiking trails, waterfalls, and more are open and within short drives of Dancing Waters Lodge. Tryon International Equestrian Center, Rutherfordton, Black Mountain, Saluda, Asheville-Biltmore Estate, Mills River, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Brevard are great day-trip destinations. By visiting, you’re supporting the local businesses of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Western NC.

Dancing Waters Lodge Layout:
MAIN LEVEL: Open floor plan with a well equipped Kitchen opening into Family Room/Dining Area, Screened in Porch and large Deck space. The Dining Area has a table for 8-10, and 4 more seats at the Kitchen bar. Family Room has a Smart TV and gas fireplace. Master Bedroom with private bath-Queen Bed and TV. Guest Bedroom - Queen Bed. Half Bath off the Front Entry/Great Room.

LOWER LEVEL: 3 Bedrooms-all Queen Beds and 1 queen sleeper sofa in family room sectional. 2 Full Baths - One of the baths has a convenient exit door to the LL Deck and Hot Tub area. The LL Family Room has a Smart TV w/streaming service, gas fireplace. Walk out from the Great Room to a large Lower Level Deck area. On this Deck you can play corn hole. Walkway and stairs down to dock/floating dock and watercrafts.

OUTSIDE AMENITIES: Gas Grill- (propane provided), 2 Deck Levels, Screen Porch, Hot tub, 3 Kayaks, 2 SUP Boards, Canoe, Floating Dock (Paddle Boat is no longer available)

The house was warm and inviting with a super view of the lake below. It was very convenient to the surrounding towns, and attractions Everything was very clean and well appointed. Our family is already looking forward to staying there again. We highly recommend this home for any vacation purposes.

Lovely Family Getaway

We have spent a long weekend at this property for the last two years. There are 11 of us (three couples and five kids). The house fits us perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked, and there's a nice long indoor table. The dock is lovely and the water is deep.

Great family house on Bald Mtn Lake

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This two level lakefront home is perfect for our group of 12 (8 adults and 4 kids under 5). It is clean, well-stocked and perfectly located inside Rumbling Bald Resort. Our kids love the outdoor pools and lazy river. Other amenities like the indoor pool, playground, spa, courts, putt-putt ($7) and golf courses are all within the resort. The Lake Lure beach was closed this year because of Helene damage but we enjoyed it last year when we visited. Our favorite thing is to do is play in the smaller Bald Mtn lake that’s right in the backyard! Canoes, paddle boards and kayaks are provided - we just brought floats. Sue is extremely easy to work with and the house has comfy beds, amazing decks and so much room for us all to play. Great house!!

Memorial Day week at Dancing Waters Lodge

We had a fantastic week at Dancing Waters Lodge. The home was spacious and well appointed. It was immaculately clean and was very well stocked for cooking and kitchen supplies. The lake was beautiful and very tranquil, quiet and peaceful. Weather was fantastic low 70’s low humidity, and generally a nice breeze. Our property managers were fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer week. We will be back.

Great location for family fun

Loved this place! Had kids aged 5-10, parents, and grandparents. being part of Rumbling Bald was very convenient, having access to the pools, beach, restaurant (great pizza, btw) made the visit even more enjoyable. Family loved the paddleboards and kayaks, as well as fishing off the dock. Apple picking, waterfall hikes, and creameries all within 45min-1 hr, so plenty of activities to do. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked. Grocery is 20 min away but very nice and large. We would definitely come back!!!

Excellent vacation

There were 8 of us - 2 families of 4 and I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Beautiful home, even better than advertised. Property managers were helpful and attentive (small issue with ice maker not working). We had such a wonderful time swimming, floating around in the lake and….relaxing!! Would definitely consider returning.

Just Beautiful

It was even more beautiful than described! The early mornings on the Lake was something I've only seen in movies! It truly is breath takingly beautiful! The whole family each had a comfortable sleeping area and plenty of restrooms to use! Surrounding areas had so much to do for whole family (Zip lining, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, golfing, to name a few) It was perfect for us all to come together and celebrate our 40th anniversary! Highly recommend! Thank you for sharing your place!

Peaceful lake vacaction

We loved this lakefront vacation home. We were a group of 10, including 4 kids. The kids had a blast on the paddle boards and kayaks. Since there were no motorized vehicles in the water it felt like the safest waterfront vacation we've had. The kids played for hours while we sat on the deck or kayaked around near them, but we weren't worried about their safety (like we would be at the ocean)! It was amazing. The house was roomy and beautiful and had everything we could need. We saw a huge turtle in the water, lots of bats (yay!), a beaver and so many fish. This was such a peaceful and lovely vacation spot!

Fabulous Lake House

When looking for a property we wanted a place big enough for each of kids to have their own room so a friend can come. Space was large. Kids enjoyed having lower area downstairs to themselves. There were plenty of amenities. The lake is nice and quiet. The screened in porch was my favorite place to relax. Sue was wonderful with communication and answered all questions and concerns quickly. Would definitely stay here or work with these property managers again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented this home for a long weekend stay during my sons wedding and was extremely happy with the home and all that it had to provide. As with most areas in Lake Lure, the wifi was spotty but tolerable to work with. Better than not having any at all! Couldn't use the canoe, paddle boards or kayaks due to them be literally covered by red ants, which was a disappointment, but we still had plenty to do with our other activities. Very quiet, beautiful location.

We wish we had known resort restaurants were closed on Monday & Tuesdays. Our stay was Sunday - Thursday. Going 5 miles takes 20 minutes 😉😊 No complaints.

Plenty of space for us all to spread out. The kitchen was very well stocked, and as a plus, the dining room table was big enough for all 12 of us to gather (there was even a high chair for the toddler).Two levels of decks gave wonderful views. We loved that half of the top deck was screened in, and the space was safe enough for the toddler to explore to his heart's content. We also sat out on the dock and enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails lakeside.The highlight is the lake: it's serene and beautiful, and we enjoyed the options of kayaks, paddleboards, and a canoe to explore.Just an wonderful experience in every way!

Beautiful Home on Bald Lake

This home is located on Bald Lake. The home has been updated and includes all the amenities we were looking for. The owners thoughtfully provided kayaks, a couple of paddle boards and a canoe. We could have fished off the dock and caught all the bluegill and bass we wanted. I especially liked the back deck. Part of the deck is screened in (to keep any bugs out) and part of it is open. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside and staring at the lake. I especially appreciated the management company. When we suggested that the pillows might need to be provided, they were they in a matter of hours to replace the old with new pillows. I also appreciated all their advice in pre-trip planning when they suggested things to do and places to see. Great place with great views. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again!
