Look Out Lodge is an awesome 3-story Craftsman Lodge Home, perfect for an ultimate vacation getaway in this stunning 6-bedroom, 5-Bath vacation home. A 7-minute neighborhood walk down to the Rumbling Bald Resort's beautiful white sandy beach Cove and Marina where you will find all of the Resort Amenities very handy and closeby: Restaurants, Bear's Cup Coffee shop, Golf Pro shop, Tennis, Pickle ball courts, putt- putt, Wellness center with all of your favorite gym and workout equipment. The Beach Kids Playground and the Ice Cream Cabana is a Favorite anytime.
Included with your stay, We also provide our guests the use of our personal 2 (SUPs) Stand Up Paddle Boards, and 2- Double-Kayaks for your fun . Multiple sized Life jackets are also provided and "a Must" on the Lake.

Enoy a refreshing dip in 1 of the 3 outdoor pools and unwind floating in the Trout Stream, or you may prefer the soothing warmth of the indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, or steam room.
Stay connected at our home with the complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi /internet service, 5 Smart Roku TVs , and Streaming Sonos Music thru out the house. So much to choose from

This was the best VRBO experience I have ever had. The host is excellent and provides you will all the information that you will need. The little details at the house make all the difference. I would suggest renting the golf cart and pulling the wagon behind it. We had 3 family's staying at the house and there was plenty of space and things to do for all ages. We will definitely be staying here again!

We just returned from a wonderful week at Lookout Lodge. This house is spacious and has every amenity you could ask for. The kitchen is well stocked and great for preparing large meals. Having an extra ice maker was very nice and we never ran out of ice. The beds were very comfortable. There are lots of blankets and comfy seating for everyone. We spent a lot of time on the outside decks sharing meals, drinking coffee, and singing karaoke. The game room downstairs was very nice with seating, toys, pool table, and more. You really don't need to bring anything-this house has it all. We rented the golf cart which was nice to drive back and forth to the Rumbling Bald amenities or just leisure riding. We did have a lot of rain which kept us inside for some of the days but we had plenty to do at the house. The driveways are steep but doable. We were able to park 4-6 vehicles over our stay without a problem. Vickie was a great host. She communicated with us so well. We had a little mishap and she and her husband came over to assess. They were very kind and understanding. Ultimately they wanted us to have the best vacation no matter what. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

We had the most wonderful stay in Lake Lure. The house was spacious and comfortable enough for 12 adults to enjoy. The kitchen was fully stocked. The views from the back covered patio are amazing. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful well maintained house great for family vacations. Owner's are excellent to work with and very accommodating. House has many of the little things covered reducing the random things you'd have to bring with you for your stay. Highly highly recommend booking this house.

My siblings and our spouses (9 pp in all) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It rained a little but the house was very well appointed with games, reading material, TVs if desired, and plenty of covered outdoor space. One night we had a very nice pit fire but we were without marshmallows. All of our dinner meals were prepared by us, and one of my brothers is a gourmet chef with his own business. He said “the owners thought of everything for this kitchen”. My wife would be pleased with another stay to the Lake Lure house.

Three rounds of golf was great. We get this chance once a year. We live apart: MD, NC, FL, GA, and HI.

I could write a wonderful Love Story about Lake Lure that started when I was a teenager, and attended Camp Lurecrest (a Christian Camp at the opposite end of the Lake)....Think Dirty Dancing Camp..but take out the Dirty! LoL! Our family has spent many summers on Lake Lure creating a life time of wonderful memories, trail hiking, kum-bah-yah campfires, and making great memories.

Why they chose this property

In 2005, we bought a View Extraordinaire, with the sound of a nearby waterfall. It is not be a cliff hanger (too high), not right on the big lake, must have flat land somewhere (for 8 Grandgirls to explore) and have lots of fun things to do. We bought this VIEW with an interesting little red cabin on the property in a Resort community.
My husband is a General Contractor/Builder/ & Certified Remodeler in Charlotte for 25+ yrs. Did I mention that the little red house was a Hexagon? Oh Yeah! The day we found the house, Rich said, 'I feel certain that I can fix this house, but I could never create a view like this.' We spent few years enjoying and deciding just what and how we would remodel the house, fondly referred to as 'our Rubik Cube.' Each year we welcomed another Grandchild. After 8 Grandgirls...our plans had enlarged. In 2012, we began the daunting task of doing a major Addition/Renovation of the entire home.

What makes this property unique

The Whole House Renovation took almost 12 months. We are honored that the NARI (National Association of Remodeling Industry) awarded our Home Project, the COTY Award for Best Whole House Renovation in 2013! And then again in April 2014, the Home Builders Association awarded our home, a 1st place Gold Award for Best Whole House Renovation again. Yoohoo!
We so enjoy our home away, and love sharing it with our friends and family. It is True: A house is made of Sticks and Bricks....but a home is made from love!
