Beautiful Property near Poipu Beach

The condo was very pretty and within walking distance of Poipu Beach. The area is amazing and close to the Waimea Canyon and not to far form other attractions. Great place for a small family to stay.

Perfect location- wonderful condo!

We have returned to Kauai, Poipu beach many times over the years & love it! We have booked with Suite Paradise every trip & are never disappointed with the condos at Manualoha. This unit was no exception! It is very clean, well appointed & has all you need to create a wonderful vacation!

Excellent property with all essential amenities plus. Unit is as nice as the pictures and very well located in proximity to island highlights. Property management attentive and responsive. We had a great visit and this unit added to our positive experience.

This unit provides you with everything you could want for your Kauai holiday. The beach is a very easy 5 minute walk. Grocery shopping close by in Koloa, also a great Italian restaurant (La Spezia). The unit and the complex are very well maintained.

Bad experience

Burst pipe to complex… understandably we were inconvenienced by not having water And workers with backhoe and concrete cutting for 2 days right at our door… we could not be at complex obviously! We were not advised upon check in about this issue Next day there was note at door advising about intermittent water… this meant No water 9- 5 when I called property management they had NO knowledge of inconvenience or work being done as they had not been advised or so they stated After much negotiation they offered 35% off one day and option to move to a unit which was not to our standard. Many phone calls later…….. A manager called us back two full days into our 4 day stay Final offer 50% off two nights… she cited all her issues and excuses Seems to me the final compensation should have been offered right off the bat to prevent us from spending 2 days in argument with them Or provided an option to different condo upon check in Lovely condo… wouldn’t stay again as it left a bad taste in my mouth

Mahalo for sharing your feedback. We understand the disruption that the unexpected pipe break and subsequent repair work caused during your stay. Unfortunately, this was a complex wide emergency repair managed by the association and their contractors, not by our company. As a property management company, we are responsible for the individual condo itself, but we do not control or receive advance notice for association level infrastructure issues or the emergency work they perform. When we became aware of the situation, we worked to advocate on your behalf and provided compensation totaling 50% off two nights of your stay. We understand that the timing of the situation was frustrating, however the repair work and water shutoffs affected multiple units throughout the complex and were outside of our control. We appreciate your comments regarding the condo itself and regret that the association’s emergency repair created such an inconvenience during your visit. Suite Paradise

The location is perfect, thoughtful set up with cooler, beach chairs & towels. Our only complaint is that the bed is beyond uncomfortable, so uncomfortable that it’s hard to sleep!! There are lots of fans and ceiling fans so even without AC the condo was really comfortable!

our first trip to kauai

We rented this property through VRBO for our 1 week vacation to Kauai A few points. Making the RSVP was very easy --however, I never received any sort of contact information for checking into the condo. The process was very quick and painless once we got the address of the management company The condo was well equipped--the kitchen had plates, utensils, pots and pans--this was pivotal as we ate breakfast and dinner at the condo--the kids were just too tired to go out and eat each evening Having a washer and dryer was a fantastic bonus!! There is a community grill just 50 steps from the front door--and we used that almost daily The condo is just a short 2 min drive to Poipu beach which made getting there very easy. Only 2 caveats regarding this unit: 1. it did NOT have airconditioning!! The daily temperatures hovered in the mid 80s to low 90s...the condo didnt cool off til about 2am. After taking a shower, it was rather icky to be covered in sweat in a few short minutes. Even with all the fans they provided, the rooms were hot and humid. 2. I didnt realize how exorbitant all the fees and taxes were. Taxes and fees increased our bill by 50%!! While we were there, I met a property manager at one of the local restaurants, and she informed me it was possible to book these properties without going through VRBO---that is something to keep in mind. Our rental avg about $150/night which was extremely reasonable--but we paid nearly $600 in various fees/taxes--which is a complete rip off!!

Breezy Beachy Home

This was a good place to stay for the price. It has a bit of a 1970s beachy feel, but it seemed like many of the properties in the area were like this. Suite Paradise provided great service and quickly worked to resolve a maintenance issue that we had. It doesn't have A/C, but the breeze through the open wooden shutters kept it very cool. We didn't do any cooking (except make coffee!) so I can't comment on the dishes/appliances. The bedroom window faced the stairwell, so we didn't feel that it had a whole lot of privacy, but it was fine as long as we kept the blinds closed.
