Great location near the pool!

We enjoyed our stay here and everything was clean and well equipped. This unit is not as updated as others that we saw in the same building and there are no tvs in the bedrooms but it wasn’t a big deal because we were rarely there. The turtles in the cove were a highlight for us, as were the dolphins and whales! Very easy walk to the beaches and the pool was warm enough to enjoy in November!

An Aloha Christmas

I’ve been to Kauai many times and stayed in various upscale hotels. As I planned to come back with my mom, I knew there would be other factors to consider with her limited mobility. This property had access to the pool a few steps from our door. The elevator access was ideal in this building (A) and the ramps were spacious and always clean. The unit was spacious and the showers allowed for a ‘walk in’ with a small step. The accommodations were incredibly comfortable and parking was always available.

Poipu shores 101A was as advertised, but better! We loved the location of the condo in the complex and in the town. It was clean, homey, and well equipped/appointed. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Oceanside stay

This was a beautiful, nicely updated property right next to the ocean and steps from the pool. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed seeing sea turtles just over the wall from the pool area. Good proximity to restaurants. A/C worked well. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a central location on the south side.

Kauai South Shore Stay

The location of this property on the south shore of Kauai was perfect for our needs. The condo was very clean when we arrived. It had good view of the ocean from the living room, bedroom and the lanai, and was within walking distance to town and beaches. (The hedges in front of the lanai could be trimmed to sitting eye-level for a better view f the ocean.) The condo was very close to the pool which made it convenient to use. The condo was well equipped. It had all one needed in the kitchen; the two bathrooms had walk-in showers; very comfortable bed in the master-bedroom (we didn't use the second bedroom); and a fairly comfortable couch in the living room. All-in-all, we had a great stay!

Excellent Location

It is awesome to have the crashing ocean waves out your back door and enjoy the serene setting while eating out on the lanai. We spotted many whales and turtles from the property. The most popular beaches on Poipu are less than a 10 minute walk just out the back door and along a beachfront trail. The beach towels, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, and boogie board were a nice touch.

Gorgeous Poipu Location

Wonderful condo! Lovely, comfortable bed and furnishings. Large, well stocked kitchen. Just me and my husband on this trip, so lots of space, but 2 bedrooms, so would be perfect for 4. Loved the first floor patio with lawn and ocean view just out the door. Pool access right out the door as well, spectacular sunset views every night!

Perfect ocean view vacation spot

We would 100% recommend this apartment for a stay in Kaua’i. Location was perfect and close to a lot of beaches and restaurants. You cannot beat the sound of the ocean…it never gets old! The condo itself was the best equipped I have ever seen: anything you would need in the kitchen is available. While we didn’t cook there, we could if we wanted to. Everything you need for the beach is available including coolers (with already frozen ice packs), chairs, etc. plenty of supplies available. We highly recommend Poipu shores!!! Would definitely come back.

Fantastic property

To start with, the location of this property is ideal, sandwiched between multiple beaches in walking or very short driving distance. The checkin process was very easy and the young lady at the office was very pleasant and friendly. The unit might take a second to locate, but we absolutely loved the view and having the pool practically in our back yard. We saw lots of turtles, the moonrise was gorgeous, and the waves crashing on the rocks are spectacular. The only thing I would caution is that there is no privacy tinting on the master bedroom windows, so everyone can see you as clearly as you can see them. Careful! The unit had absolutely everything we needed, boogie boards and fins were greatly appreciated. The kitchen had basic spices and oil. The beds were very comfortable. We made several stops at the farmer’s fruit stand just outside the neighborhood. Quick drive to Old town Koloa, which we loved, and into Poipu. Our best meal by far was at Rumfire in the Sheraton. High dollar, but food, service and ambiance were all top notch. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Kauai Vacation

This rental unit was a very cozy and nice place to stay. The proximity to the beach and restaurants was convenient and we got to enjoy beautiful sunset every night! We enjoyed our stay in Kauai. Some negatives are when we tried to check in, the code didn’t work which was resolved with a phone call and pretty fast. The floors were dirty and we kept on stepping on debris after taking our shoes off, as was directed from the owners manual. I had to vacuum up the floor. One of the kitchen window slat was broken off and the dishwasher didn’t clean well. The bottom has a big crack in it so it may need to be replaced. Other than that, the place was a nice place.

Great Spot

This was a perfect home base for us! The pool is literally right out the back door, there was plenty of space for 4 people, and it had all basic necessities for a beach vacation. Location to Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu was great (about a 5 or 10 minute walk), and everything else was close by. The condo was clean and worked well for our family. We would recommend this to friends based on the cleanliness and location alone. The only weird parts of our stay: the tiny, thin bath towels provided (and you get literally 4 - one for each person). I reached out to the management co who said we should just wash them if we need more, but after some convincing brought us two extra; I guess better than no extra. Also to note, there were no other extras of anything except a pillow with no case - 0 additional blankets, exactly 4 washcloths, 4 beach towels, 2 hand towels, no bath mats, etc. This is fine, but on vacation mom having to do multiple loads of laundry a day just to have dry towels is kind of annoying. Finally, the ‘master’ bath situation was a little funky (the doors are 2 slatted pocket doors and close over the sink area but there is no other door inside for the toilet/shower area). Needless to say, there’s not a ton of privacy going to the bathroom/showering even with the doors closed. Not a game changer for our family, but I would have appreciated knowing if it was a different companion situation! Overall this is an amazing place and we would definitely stay again!

Poipu Condo

Our stay was a mixed experience. Poipu is absolutely wonderful. The condo is has a great view, the front office staff is lovely, and there is most everything you would need. Though it lacked some basics like bath mats and extra towels/blankets. They accommodated an early check in request, though I don't think they communicated it to the property manager. After we checked in we were very surprised when an employee let herself into the condo. She was apologetic and it wasn't a big issue, but it was awkward. Additionally, I think housekeeping may have rushed through cleaning. The floors had not been cleaned at all and since they have a no shoes rule, our feet and socks were constantly dirty. We also found that many dishes in the cabinets had caked on food and hadn't been washed. Additionally, during our first evening, around 11pm an alarm went off and continually went off overnight. We called the emergency line provided and left a message, but nobody returned our call. When we called the front office in the morning, they advised us it's not their responsibility, but the condo owner. We hadn't heard back from VRBO and after hearing we had a night of no sleep with a loud alarm and no call back, the front office was nice enough to send their maintenance guy over who was able to turn the alarm off. We also had the hot water go out, which required maintenance in and out of the unit one day. The location and staff is great and the condo is okay, but I wouldn't stay here again.
