This custom designed Hawaiian plantation style cottage is located just off the Brennecke's beach side of Poipu Beach Park, 100 steps to the beach!

This spacious house was designed and built in 2013 to be the perfect vacation retreat - its plantation style allows it to blend in with the historic neighborhood, while offering every modern luxury. Outside is a barbeque grilling area, a garden shower accessible from either the master bath or from outside, and under the Plumeria Tree is a landscaped 5 person hot springs style hot tub. Enjoy the 2 master, air conditioned, suites with plush king beds, flat screen TVs, pedestal tub, and outdoor garden shower, and full size front load washer and dryer. The open plan great room opens up to the large lanai with 22 feet of 8' high folding doors, and the 9 1/2 foot high walls, vaulted ceilings, large double hung windows, and ceiling fans keep the place breezy and cool. Both bedrooms are air conditioned to keep you comfortable all night long. The kitchen is equipped with a full sized french door refrigerator, whisper quiet dishwasher, gas range, walk-in pantry, granite counters, open shelving, and fully stocked. The sound system through out the living area as well as the lanai is set up for surround sound TV watching, listening to Pandora, or you can wirelessly listen to your own music collection from your smartphone. Great well stocked home

The lanais and inside/outside feel of the home was awesome. Our family enjoyed it nightly. Home was really well stocked with games, pans, and some staple cooking tools. Great home base for enjoying Po ‘Ipu and the south shore. Property manager was detailed and made everything easy. Highly recommend and we will return.

Beautiful home just steps from the beach

Upon entering this beautiful home, you feel ready for a real vacation, with all the amenities you could ask for. From the hot tub, to access to Athletic Club, we enjoyed more than the quick access to the beach and great restaurants (I.e. Joe’s and Puka Dog). So glad to have found this place which was reasonably priced considering how perfect it is. The only small thing I would suggest is providing coffee for the coffee maker. Mahalo!

Impressive cottage; best on the block. Great location!

This unique cottage is beautifully decorated and very well-equipped. The location can’t be beat. Just a block from the beach and park where you can swim, boogie board, let kids play in the park, see resting Hawaiian Green See Turtles on the beach, catch glimpses of a Hawaiian Monk Seal and see spectacular sunsets. If you like walking, take the path by the house to the Grand Hyatt, an incredible luxury property where you can have drinks, dinner and see how the wealthy folks live! The Koloa Fish Market has great fresh poke. Stop in Hanapepe on your way to Waimea Canyon or Barking Sands. The Na Pali sail from Port Allen was a real highlight, with Spinner dolphins, breaching humpbacks and incredible vistas. Don’t hesitate to book this cottage; you won’t be disappointed!

Einfach tolles Haus!

Das Ferienhaus war traumhaft, sehr sauber und modern! Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter einfach, Küche sehr gut eingerichtet.sehr nahe am Strand und dennoch sehr ruhig. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten 15 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt, Restaurants in Laufnähe. Jederzeit weiter zu empfehlen!!

Great Poipu Cottage

Spent ten nights at this immaculately equipped and maintained cottage. Just a couple hundred feet from the beach. Really loved the porch equipped with padded furniture and shades. Also used the like new hot tub most evenings. Just a wonderful property!

Aloha! Brent, originally from Oregon, and I (Karen) originally from Ohio, both moved to Kauai in the early 1980's (when we were too young to know any better) met, fell in love, got married, and have been here ever since. With my design background and Brent being a general contractor, we began Olson Homes Inc. which is a design/build firm specializing in custom homes here on the south side. We live in Kalaheo, but ever since I came here and fell in love with Kauai, I dreamed of having a little place in Poipu, near the beach. I never thought it would happen, but this property kind of fell in our laps and my dream came true! And we set out to build our perfect beach cottage. We named it Ke'ola, 'the life', because we feel it represents the amazing quality of life that Kauai has to offer.
