Sitting On The Sound is a 1BR/1BA cozy home on the bay and has a new owner with all new upgrades from new living room and deck furniture to painting. This property includes a hand-launch ramp for kayaks—trailers cannot be backed in for launching. This home has a fully stocked kitchen, charcoal BBQ grill, standard coffee pot, cable tv & wifi. This home will sleep 4 maximum with a king size bed in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Tho home was secluded and very peaceful. Get a kayak and explore the sound and then spend the evening watching the sunset from the balcony! Fantastic stay!

What a great place to stay. It was right on the water with amazing views. We could launched our kayaks right behind the house and it was very convenient to everything in town. Loved it and did not want to leave!

The location was great for what I needed & wanted. I arrived at night so some motion sensor lighting would be helpful by the steps. Otherwise, it was perfect & very peaceful.

This property was conveniently located. Sunrises and sunsets from deck were wonderful. A little trouble getting heat turned on but otherwise perfect for us and our two dogs.

We loved it! The guys next door were nice They left early to go fishing and down for the night early. All quiet. Had several days with no one around. Loved the privacy. Loved the balcony/ deck overlooking the water.

Peaceful escape

This is a perfect location. Beautiful view Loved seeing and listening to all the sounds of nature. Not far from Apalachicola or St George Island. Super comfortable we even had our 2 year old Aussie Doodle with us. The whole town is super Dog friendly. Sitting on the Sound is such a peaceful relaxing spot. Away from the crowds of people and city noise. I’m sure to put this spot on my list of properties to revisit .

Above and beyond

We had a wonderful, peaceful place to stay and the person in charge was more than accommodating when we had a problem. It was wonderful that we could have our dog with us and they were five windows that overlook the bay so we got to see the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We saw dolphins, Eagles and lots of other birds

Tranquil Retreat

This property was located on the St. George Sound. Beautiful sunrise & sunset views. We were looking for a place where we could just decompress & this fit the bill perfectly. They do need to update the pictures and description of the property as it claims to sleep 4. However, the original photo of a sofa bed is no longer there. It's been replaced with a leather sofa so it only sleeps 2. Wish they also had supplied simple items like salt & pepper & a skillet that was large enough for cooking a meal. We were supplied an electric griddle so we were able to work with that. Interior could use a fresh coat of paint. All-in-all, we would definitely stay here again.

A Private Escape that's Close to Everything

With a beautiful view overlooking the St. George sound, that changes throughout the day with the rise and fall of the tides, it is in a quiet location off a main road and the town of Carabelle is within walking distance with a few restaurants and a lovely local museum - lots of heart and very warm volunteers working there. A short ride away you can get to the state parks, accessible dog friendly beaches, or the town of Apalachicola which was bustling with tourists when we went. (If you like BBQ try FatDaddy's along the way and chat with the owners...) The unit was terrific in terms of space and everything provided that we needed in the kitchen. As with most newer shoreline residences there, two flights of exterior stairs. OK unless you have a dog who is afraid of stairs... :-D we all did fine, he grew to love the attention. Unlike other units we looked at which were wedged in to rows of other houses, at this location we had only one other home nearby with really lovely, welcoming neighbors.

Awesome Time and Great Experience!!!

My wife and I stayed here for the week and we absolutely loved it!!!! The place is perfect for a couple or very small family!! It has everything that you need!! The views are absolutely amazing and the Sound is beautiful, especially at Sunset. We brought our boat so there is plenty of room to park a boat and vehicle. The city boat launch is less than a quarter of a mile away. This place is very convenient for boaters!!!! There is a private dock that you have access to as well. Mr. Dave is absolutely fantastic!!! We would stay here again 100% and plan to in the future!!!!!! A
