Wonderful hosts with a beautiful home and location. A gorgeous short walk to the natural beach along the St. James shoreline. The house is well laid out with plenty of space. We enjoyed outdoor dining on the screened in back porch. Would highly recommend renting from this owner. Check in and check out were a breeze as well!

Fantastic Beach House!
We have been fortunate to stay at many wonderful places all over the world. Roger and Angela's house "A Step Away" ranks at the top of the list. First off, the house is fantastic in all respects, beautiful furnishings, comfortable, well appointed, and functional. The screened-in back porch is perfect for everything from early morning coffee to late evening relaxation. The location is beyond outstanding as it centrally located to everything you would want to visit. Within in an hour is St. George Island, Apalachicola, Cape San Blas, St. Joe, Tallahassee, and everything in between. The locals are hospitable, the restaurants are family owned, and there is no shortage of outdoor activities. I highly recommend a visit to the Hole in Wall Raw Bar in Appalach, or visiting with Tom at Appalach Outfitters, or Lynn's Quality Oysters, or the Thursday night open mic night at Fathoms. Lastly, Roger and Angela are amazing hosts. Kind. Responsive. Thoughtful. If only ever host was as kind as they are. You will love "A Step Away" on the Forgotten Coast!

Firefly Paradise
This is the first time we have ever stayed at a VRBO. We are contractors and are building 2 houses in Eastpoint so we had to come up there for work. We are VERY impressed with the house and how comfortable and spacious it is. It made us feel at home. I love the nice little gifts that we got when we arrived :) Thank you! We would definitely stay there again. I have told our customers about the house and if they ever have guests they will recommend the home.

Didn't want to leave!
We had such a wonderful stay at this house. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed to make our 10 day stay just perfect. The location was also fantastic, offering all sorts of things to do...kayaking, pool days, hiking, fishing, and just hanging out at Harry's Bar were some of the highlights. We can hardly wait to visit again. Roger was the perfect host as well. We could tell that he wanted us to enjoy every minute of our stay.

My family and I live out of state and have been visiting the Florida Pan Handle for over 20 years. I started looking for a place that was less congested and simpler and found this area. I like coming down to the Forgotten Coast and spending time in this area due to friendliness of the people, availability of fresh sea food and the absence of traffic and long lines. I wanted a place where I could fish or kayak within walking distance. What I like the most about St Teresa, is its laid back atmosphere.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood due to the direct access to the ocean, community pool and the unspoiled natural environment. I particularly enjoy the pine trees, native grasses and bushes. It's close to a boat ramp for access to the bay or blue water.

What makes this property unique

It is a newly constructed home in walking distance to both the ocean and community pool. If you are a nature lover and enjoy a quiet environment, A Step Away is the place for you and your family.
