There are many other winter activities including snow tubing and ice skating.

Beech Mountain Resort is a four season destination, providing outdoor activities for the entire family. Grab a drink at the on-site brewery. Try mountain biking and disc golf, or take a scenic lift ride to 5506', the high country's only skybar.

On the resort, take a mountain biking lesson from the pros, find a moment of peace in the Saturday morning yoga class, and spend evenings listening to live music at 5506', a full-service bar and snack spot offering great views from the top, or do the same at Beech Mountain Brewing Company, one of the only US breweries owned and operated by a ski area. Also be sure to check out live music and several restaurants just a few steps away. Stroll to town and grab a slice of pizza or authentic Italian entrees and desserts at the world Famous Brick Oven Pizzeria.

Be sure to check out the random and vast supply of treasures at Fred's General Mercantile, where "if they don't have it, you don't need it.” Fred's has a restaurant on the ground level and up top a full grocery section with fresh produce, an extensive hardware area for anything you could need on the road, a clothing section for everyone in the family, clothes specific to outdoor activities, and plenty of gifts and items to remember your trip to Beech.

Other things to do: Find even more family fun at the Land of Oz theme park and recreation at Buckeye Recreation Center with over 50 acres of developed parkland, almost 10 acres of lakes, over 28 miles of designated hiking and biking trails and a state-of-the-art Recreation Center. Excellent location and the condo is amazing
We spent the weekend at Beech Mountian to see a band at the brewery and hang out for the Super Bowl. The condo was amazing. It had everything we needed, it was very clean and felt like home. The check-in process was simple, and Matt responded to any questions during our stay. We will definitely be back to Living the Dream on Beech!

Beech ski getaway
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Loved the gas fireplace and all the heaters in the condo because the temperature went down to 6 degrees. The only things that could have been better was a better description about the location and its proximity to Beech. I was looking for a place closer to the resort. We had to drive down. The beds need to be more comfortable. Both beds need a serious upgrade. There should be a better coffee maker, the single Keurig was not for me. There were great views of the mountains and Matt was a great host and always available. Overall, we had a great time and appreciate everything that was provided.

About the host

I grew up in western NC, went to school and work in the Research Triangle area. I have made many great memories on Beech Mountain over those years, and I look forward to having you. I hope that you make many memories during your stay as well. I am committed to fast response times, the best rates, and a great guest experience.

Why they chose this property

I chose to buy this home because I spent many years vacationing on Beech Mountain and have traveled throughout the High Country of NC and the Great Smokey and Blue Ridge areas of GA, VA and TN my whole life.

What makes this property unique

Its location within walking distance to town, restaurants right there, and the slopes of Ski Beech. Add the views from the living room, front deck and master suite, the comfy and airy interior, and I fall in love with it immediately every time I enter. I hope that you'll find the same.
