About this property
A Notch Above: Next to Attitash, close to Storyland, Saco River & North Conway
Nestled between the bases of Attitash and Bear Peak Mountain, this private, spacious, family-friendly home provides a relaxing environment to experience all that the White Mountains have to offer. It is a perfect retreat for families and friends looking to enjoy all the entertainment and adventures that the Mountain Washington Valley has, or to just relax and take a break from life's everyday demands.
Our 2,400 sq. ft, 5 bedroom, 2.5 bath home offers more than enough room to accommodate 2 families. The front door opens into an arctic entry, perfect for winter boots and summer towels. The three levels of living provide an ideal space for some to gather around the fire, enjoy time together in the well-equipped kitchen on the main floor, while others can enjoy movies downstairs. The open-concept living area on the main floor features a woodstove, high definition television, fully updated kitchen and a dining area that seats eight. Our homes occupancy is for 9 adults and 2 children (bunk beds) and can sleep 2 family's comfortably.
Off a loft style hallway, the upstairs level has a 1 queen bedroom and second bedroom with a full and twin child-sized bunkbeds, that sleeps 1 adult and 2 children, connected by a walk through bathroom. The main floor bedroom offers a queen bed. The lower level boasts a queen bedroom and a second bedroom with two twin beds, a TV/ arcade game, and a washer and dryer available for convenience.
This home is perfectly situated in a quiet family friendly neighborhood ready to enjoy the area all year long. In the winter, you are located at the base of Attitash / Bear Peak Resort. Our home is a 5-minute walk to Bear Peak base lodge and lifts. You can walk to Bear Peak and ski over to Attitash or take the shuttle over as well. Other local ski resorts including Wildcat, Black Mountain, Cranmore and Bretton Woods are only 20 minutes away. Spring and summer offer endless opportunities for fun, some only steps away! There are many summer attractions here in the Mount Washington Valley such as beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails, local swimming in the Saco River or Echo Lake, local galleries in Jackson and endless shopping in North Conway Village and the Settler’s Green Outlets. Other popular attractions only minutes away including Storyland, Conway Scenic Railway, Cathedral Ledge, Diana’s Bath and a short drive to the Mount Washington Cog Railway, Observatory, and Auto Road. During the summer and fall enjoy a short 10-minute walk to Thorne Pond and the Saco River where you can wade tube in the river or take in amazing foliage along the riverside trail network.
Summer guests will have use of the outdoor fire ring but will need to pull a fire permit with the state as well as bring their own firewood. Permit instructions will be provided during check-in. Guests should never light a fire during dry, windy conditions. Check NH Division of Forests and Lands daily fire danger conditions to determine if it’s safe for an outdoor fire.
Winter guests will be provided with enough firewood to enjoy a fire at least 2 nights, 2 to 3 hours per night. Wood stove is available between November-March.
Please note that during the winter months the deck and grill are not available for use. The hazard of falling snow that comes off the roof lasts up to several days after a storm and is not safe. A new generator has been installed that will provide power to the entire house during any power outage.
We look forward to sharing our home with you.
Sincerely,
The Hall Family
