Our ocean and harbor view condominium has been upgraded with new and contemporary furnishings throughout. New granite counter tops in the kitchen, king and queen beds, cozy sectional in front of the fireplace and flat screen TV make this the ideal cottage for relaxation. You’re steps away from the beach and a short walk over a scenic bridge to the harbor shops and restaurants. This view from the living room is truly a must see to appreciate as one looks at the ocean, lighthouse, San Luis Rey waterway and Oceanside harbor with its many boats.

Our modern kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need from a pre surfing breakfast to a delightful sunset dinner. Your options include a lovely dining room table or a private ocean view balcony which looks Northwest, at the sunset. Unwind with music or your favorite show on our high definition flat screen TV centered above the fireplace.

The grounds of North Coast Village are lovely, gated and patrolled 24 hours a day by private security guards. With running streams, miniature waterfalls, and manicured vegetation, the grounds resemble Hawaii in this resort like beach front condominium complex in Oceanside California.

There are also two heated pools with spas, barbecues, picnic tables, a putting green, and outdoor rinsing stations to remove the sand. A game room, exercise room, ping pong table and sauna are also on the grounds. We have two beach chairs, two boogie boards and many beach towels for your days on the beach.

Your backyard will be one of North San Diego County’s finest beaches. Complete with fire rings, volleyball courts and my personal favorite feature, the famous south jetty surf break. The surf is ideal for any level surfer/boogie boarder depending on wave conditions. We have watched easy one to two foot waves for the beginner, as well as overhead surf for the experienced. This is a great wave at North Coast Village and one that is almost always breaking.

The decision each morning seems to be whether to walk north to Oceanside’s harbor for a cup of coffee, or south to the longest pier in southern California where you’ll find Ruby’s cafe, fishing and another great surf break. Regardless of your choice, your vehicle stays parked and secure in our underground parking structure.

The large bedroom has a new king bed and a cozy sitting area to get away from it all. We have a new chest of drawers for your clothes and plenty of storage space. Games such as chess, scrabble and backgammon are at the ready. We think you’ll find no comfort for your beach vacation has been overlooked. This ocean view property is resort living at its finest. Perfect for a small family, surfers retreat or the romantic couple looking to live a short time on the beach.

Beautiful but a little misleading

For the most part we really enjoyed our stay. Check-in was difficult because HOA did not have our information, so after standing in line at check-in, we had to wait in line at HOA office. Would actually look into returning next year, but we will bring more of our own supplies. We were washing towels daily. the dishwasher wasn't working right and I had a repair person contacting me which I didn't need on my vacation. Deck chairs were rickety. Took owner at word that linens and towels were included. There were only 4 thin bath towels and 4 thin beach towels. Screen door was severely torn. Unfortunately the pool had scum in it the last 3 days we were there. HOA was aware but not very concerned. All that being said, it is a great location and a very quiet area. Didn't use the deck much due to it being uncomfortable. Also did not bother bringing boogie boards since 2 were provided, but there was only one, the other is a beach skimmer. But the condo was comfortable and presented as in pictures.

Beautiful condo with beautiful views (UK reviewer)

Yes this condo is a little pricier than others at NCV but we all felt it was well worth it. Bill was so helpful and friendly during the booking procedure and check in was easy. We wound our way through the lovely gardens to the apartment and found it to be spacious and well appointed. The bedroom has a huge bed and is very quiet being on the garden side. Our 16 year old son slept on the murphy bed which was a little creaky but well placed pillow sorted that. The kitchen had everything you could want for and there was plenty of storage. It was like Bill had thought of everything. The best thing is the balcony. The panoramic view sweeps from the right with the I5 in the distance (no noise), followed by a train line (interesting to watch the huge trains go by), to the pretty New England style harbour, to the beach and ocean beyond. It is the perfect angle to sit and watch the sunset. The pictures really do not do it justice. The location cannot be faulted. You can walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. You only need the car for grocery shopping. We took a chance booking here as we had never heard of Oceanside or North Coast Village condos but are so glad we did. Thanks Bill for a great week. I stay at Northcoast village frequently, love the tropical atmosphere and have always liked the condos I have rented there. This one was everything as advertised and I especially liked the location on the harbor side. The condo was clean and pleasant and quiet and had everything I needed. I will definitely return there.

Our unit was comfortable but contained a lot of upholstered and/or covered furniture which may have been the reason for triggering an asthma attack for my husband. (It's possible the time of the year with the flowers and trees may have been the cause, too). The grounds far surpassed what I expected; they were very beautiful. The unit had minimal amount of pots/pans for cooking "at home" and far too much "stuff" (cleaning products, condiments) left behind that were (almost) empty and should have been thrown out. The pool/hot tub areas were very nice but the Wi-Fi at the unit was spotty and frustrating to access. I guess we're used to Texas where there weren't so many "do nots" or "not allowed" signs posted. We enjoyed our stay in general but California is wayyyyy to crowed for our tastes. Also, worth mentioning, our unit's neighbor next door was very friendly and helpful for places to go and things to do.

Perfect winter get-a-way

We again had a perfect month at this unit, returning from last year. The view from the balcony allows you to see the most of the area: ocean, mountains, harbor & bird sanctuary. The updated condo keeps improving every year. Love being able to walk right up to your own door & right across form the beach. We do cook for ourselves & had everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again!

A Spectacular View

There were a few initial 'move-in' issues however the management made good and repaired the problems quickly. This is a great condo with all the amenities needed for a great vacation. The view is wonderful as you can take in the ocean from the great outdoor deck. The Murphy bed and the King size bed are very comfortable. This unit is not recommended for parties over 4 people. It is great for a couple! Has all the beach accessories needed - boogie board, umbrella, chairs for a day at the ocean! Within walking distance to downtown Oceanside and the Harbor.

Just recently stayed at Northcoast Village and I would definitely recommend this condo and stay there again. It had allot more space than I anticipated. A completely stocked kitchen, coffee maker, toaster, blender everything. The decor is very relaxing and beautiful. You are within walking distance to the beach. Terrific restaurants are also within walking distance at the harbor and the pier. Would defiantly stay at this condo again.

Perfect for our family

We loved the location and amenities. If we didn't want to swim in the ocean the pool was just a short walk away. The beds were comfy, the kitchen had all the things we needed to prepare our own meals, and an extra bonus was the chairs and umbrella to use at the beach.

Great place!

Just got back from an awesome month spent in a really good cottage condo. The place was as advertised - new granite in kitchen, modern fridge stove and microwave, new stone tiling in kitchen and bath and fireplace hearth. Nice comfortable king bed! Wonderful views, as advertised. The pictures on website are accurate. You will not be disappointed. We cannot make our schedule match with the vacancies next year, otherwise we'd book it again in a heartbeat, and will, when we can! Bill, the manager is very professional, and promptly acts on questions and is locally available which is a plus. As is his efficiency and friendly client-based approach. We have asked that he keep our contact info for future rental potential, as he is totally trustworthy.

A Perfect Winter Get-Away in a Charming Beach Town

North Coast Village For a very modest price, I was able to secure this very nice condo, for the month of January and escape the cold, dreary and rainy weather of the Pacific Northwest. The weather in Oceanside was fantastic in January, 2014. Bill, who was our go-to person, was very responsive and helpful from beginning to end. I arrived on Sunday and the security guard was very helpful and accommodating. Monday morning I went to the office to get a key for bicycle storage and the woman at the desk Michelle, was not so helpful and accommodating. She was clearly having a bad day. When checking out, she still seemed unhappy. This particular condo is in a good location with easy access to the freeways, shopping, dining, the beach and the downtown area. It has a nice view of the estuary and harbor from the living room but to get a good view of the ocean requires a visit to the balcony. The sunsets are amazing. The bedroom features a comfortable king bed and a recliner chair but no clock. The bed desperately needs new bedding, especially sheets that fit. The only clock is on the microwave. The clothes closet was packed with boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler, ironing board and was too crowded for two people. We hid everything under the bed until we checked out. The kitchen was nice and well equipped. Living room had comfortable furniture with a large flat screen but no HD channels. There is no DVD player. The gas-fired fireplace brings warmth and ambiance on cool winter nights. We used the work out room daily, however, the equipment in the gym is getting out and rusty and needs replacing. We made several trips into San Diego on the "Coaster" light rail for sightseeing excretions. All in all, it is a nice condo but I do not like having to pay extra for internet. It is expensive!!. And then to add insult on injury, the wifi signal is weak with slow downloads. I couldn’t get a signal in the bedroom. IMHO, wifi should ALWAYS been included in the price and it should have a strong signal. Would I recommend this condo? Yes, but only if you don’t mind paying extra for internet. I would rate this condo with five stars but because of the sub-standard bedding and lack of free internet access, I am deducting one star and rating it four stars.

Prime location to get away from winter!

The description and the pictures show exactly what this unit is: a nicely decorated, updated, well maintained & managed unit. The contact person was always available & able to get back with answers & good suggestions to help us enjoy our stay. The resort itself has many options to enjoy: pools, spas, gym, game rooms & the grounds are beautiful to walk. Oceanside is a friendly community with a lot of bike riding, walking. Thursday there's a Farmers Market in the morning and a street fair at night you can walk to. The harbor is a short walk with a coffee shop, restaurants & a good place for Fish & Chips. It was great to be centrally located; going to the Zoo, Coronado Island, Catalina Island was an easy drive from here. The updated unit & view from this balcony is bringing us back next year.
