Step inside, “The Lime Tree” at Bay Creek’s Marina Village, and enjoy the cool crisp beach style home. This home is newly renovated with granite countertops, new appliances, new carpet and furniture! As soon as you walk through the door the beachy feel welcomes you! With an open floor concept, the whole family will enjoy the space together. This 4 bedroom house sleeps 6 guests comfortably. The first floor Master bedroom has a king size bed with a private bathroom equipped with a shower and jacuzzi tub. On the second floor there are two guest rooms with queen size beds that share a hall bathroom. The fourth bedroom has 1 set of bunk beds and a full bed in the same room, perfect for children or a family. This fourth bedroom has its own half bath and connects to the hall bathroom as a jack-and-jill.

The Chesapeake Bay and private beach are a short walk where you can enjoy the sun and sand during the day and stunning sunsets in the evening. Kings Creek Marina, The Oyster Farm Restaurant and the Historic Town of Cape Charles are within walking distance of this home. The resort and town is golf cart friendly so don’t forget to reserve your golf cart when booking your reservation. Bicycle, kayak, paddle board and fishing rod rentals are available at nearby Kings Creek Marina. The Golf District at Bay Creek is a short drive where you can enjoy two world-class Signature Arnold and Palmer golf courses, a private beach. The home was as expected. Very comfortable and clean. We tried twice to reach the property manager (one by email, once by phone) with no response. The reasons for reaching out to the property manager were minor but a call back or return email would have been appreciated.

Multiple Problems Requiring Maintenance Visits

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The night we arrived (Sunday) we found the master shower wouldn’t dran, which meant 7 people shared the upstairs shower. The shower was equally moldy. I was told that someone would fix the issue the following morning and it was by a lovely maintenance man named Gary, whom our family got to know over the week we stayed. There was equally mold in the HVAC vent in the bedroom where my kids were sleeping (over the full sized bed). On Tuesday the upstairs hall bathroom toilet was running, which was fixed by maintenance the same day we reported the problem. Then my husband had to remove a rotting rabbit carcass near the garbage can/driveway. By Thursday the refrigerator wasn’t cooling despite Gary’s best efforts. We declined having the refrigerator repair person come on Friday as we checked our Saturday. The refrigerator was extremely old and the master bath needs a good cleaning. I am not sure about the mold in the went but it didn’t make us feel as though things were maintained well. I can count on one hand the times I have written a review. This was truly noteworthy and not in a good way. We expected a very different experience than the one we had. I will never rent a home sight unseen after this vacation.

We struggled to get early morning tee times and the course was in the worst shape we've seen in years. The new golf rules are going to prohibit us from coming back to Bay Creek in the future.

Only problem we had was immediately addressed by rental company. We would return and stay here again

Nice home

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and lots of toiletry items were provided. Some items to note if bringing children: - The curtains do not block out any light so be prepared for that - This house is in a separate part of the Bay Creek resort area so beaches and the pool etc must be driven to which is all located in the other part of the resort. You could walk to the town however. - The membership that is included with the pool and the private beach is amazing! The kids loved it and had so much fun. We had some issues with plumbing there but it was the tale end of our trip and did not derail anything. Hopefully those have since been resolved. Would definitely stay here again.

My only feedback relative to the condition of the house was that the BBQ grill did not function properly and was very dirty upon check in. It was barely usable. Specific to the resort itself it would have been helpful to know more about their pool reservations in advance- we were unaware and were left without reservations or had to settle for 8:00 am slots. Aside from those 2 tings a great visit.

We like kitchen on lower level which makes its easy for unloading groceries. The house is always fresh and clean. We grilled chicken on the grill and even played ping pong. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arranged this family vacation before the restrictions for corona virus. Lots of thought and many questions came up before our scheduled visit but we were assured by Bay Creek that the cleaning procedures were exceptional, and that the house would be empty for multiple days before we arrived. The house was immaculate, and roomy for our extended family of 9 plus an infant. Having a yard for the kids was a huge benefit, and we all enjoyed the decks/ porch. The private beach was beautiful and walkable, and the public beach was a short golf cart ride away. The ping pong table was a huge hit, as were the beach toys. A couple of the bikes were in need of repair, but we had brought our own. The rental concierge was extremely helpful and very accessible. Beware the thresholds between the carpet and tile in the living area, and coming in the house from the garage. There is about a half inch metal or stone rise and we had several injuries there. A few metal utensils for the grill would be a helpful addition. and some of the pillows need to be replaced. Overall the house was amazing and the vacation was fabulous! Thank you!
