we had a great stay here for a weekend. The property was clean and spacious. It included lots of small details that made the stay easy and enjoyable (for example, the kitchen is well stocked with glasses and the bathrooms had not just 1 roll of toilet paper--and it was high quality vs the super cheap kind). Our group greatly enjoyed our stay.

We had a group of 10 stay at this property and it was awesome. The place is even nicer in person than the pictures. Very clean, plenty of amenities, and LOTS of space. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay in Chicago

This house was an absolutely perfect spot for a bachelorette party. The property manager was prompt and responsive, making the details of our stay smooth. It is huge and a beautiful penthouse. Highly recommend.

Perfect accommodate for family gathering

Communication was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Property was great for our group of eight adults. We made big meals, played games, and never felt like we were on top of one another. Kitchen was quite well appointed. Beds were super comfy. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location and we enjoyed the large tv/kitchen area for gathering. Agree with prior review that nicer pillows are needed. Also, the twin beds in basement are on a metal frame so every time you turn; it’s noisy. Overall happy with the VRBO and price was not unreasonable for the size.

Place was great; comfortable and spacious. Funky layout and was perfect for our group. A few blocks from the blue line, thus easy to access. ‘Penthouse’ is loosely used as it is only a 4 story building but great nonetheless

Clean and neat, big rooms with large common areas. 2.5 baths and 5 bedrooms with comfortable couches. Nice rooftop lounge area. If renting car, garage is great feature.

Space was almost too large!

Great trip to Chicago facilitated with excellent VRBO for a small group. Location is great. Plenty of room for everyone to move around and have their own room/space. Really enjoyed view of Chicago skyline from rooftop deck.

Thanksgiving Reunion

We are a three generation family of 12, coming from California, Florida, New Hampshire, and Connecticut, and we were very comfortable in this handsome, spacious, well-equipped penthouse. Both the owner and the property manager were kind and attentive during our weeklong stay.

Amazing Property for Large Group

I recently stayed at this property with a bunch of friends for a weekend trip. This property was better than expected. It has plenty of space and amenities to support a large group. Additionally, the sleeping spaces were comfortable and clean. The property managers were helpful and friendly the entire way. This is an A+ property.

I can't say enough good things about this property. It has absolutely everything you would need for a large group. The check-in process was seamless, the location is great, and there is absolutely nothing I would change. The pictures don't do it justice, everyone was blown away by how large it was and the gathering space was exactly what our group of 12 friends needed. It's hard to find a location that doesn't generate a single negative comment from 12 friends, but this nailed it.

Exceptional Location

We very much enjoyed staying at The River West. The property is large, spacious and had plenty of room for the 12 of us to stay comfortably. The location was a 15-20 minute Uber ride from anywhere we wanted to go. The bus stop is close, too. A great market is within walking distance and the Magnificent Mile is within walking distance as well. The neighborhood was safe and everyone we encountered was friendly.

Long family weekend

Had “711 Penthouse” for 9 during our family Christmas weekend in Chicago. Very conveniently located between most major attractions. Nice neighborhood options very close for food/groceries. Pay the extra for garage parking….huge time saver. Clean place w everything we needed. Given the location, very quiet. Great weekend and would easily go back with the family. Plenty of space!

Better than the pics!

What a great place for large groups. State of the art! Has everything you need, plus things you didn’t know you needed. We had a group of 12 for a family wedding and this was the perfect spot. Convenient to all activities. Grocery, CVS, church, restaurants, bars all walking distance. Wish we had more time to stay and take advantage of all this place has to offer. Highly recommend! Property manager, Ben, was fantastic too.

The property was great, however the communication with the host and the blaring noise every night in the middle of the night was not. I gave the host an opportunity to refund a portion of the proceeds because there was loud blaring noise in the middle of the night from somewhere right next to the place, but they were unable to make anything right. We were there for 3 nights and I let the host know about this after the first incident on night one, and still nothing could be done. It is very unfortunate to pay so much for a place to stay and not be able to sleep. We could feel the bass of music through the walls all 3 nights we were there. I wish this didn't happen because the place was great otherwise, but it did and the host was unable to make anything right. They avoided emails and texts after the matter.
