Superb accommodation for a large or extended family within 5 minutes from the sandy beach and a child friendly swimming pool as an alternative with a secluded lounging area
beautiful house, 50m to the "private" beach, everything accessible by foot ( bakery, center, supermarket, beach, port, etc.), excellent welcome and service by Isabelle

Thank you very much Ulrich. I was happy to meet you and your beautiful family.
The house was just perfect for our multi generational family holiday. The town has many good restaurants and lovely beaches. Next to the house was a fantastic crepe stall which provided us with a couple of easy and tasty lunches. There are many supermarkets nearby and other things to visit though we loved the house, so much, we spent many days just hanging out and using the swimming pool and the pool table. The rooms are lovely and beds comfortable. A highly recommended holiday house.
A quiet village but thanks to the fabulous weather, the teenagers were happy in and out of the pool and trips to the beach (literally a 2 minute walk). Fabulous selection of bedrooms for all combinations of kids and the pool table was a real hit! Great communications throughout. Thank you

Just had a lovely week staying in Kichen ar mor! Beautiful spacious house which was immaculately clean and very well equipped for our party of 13. Everyone loved the swimming pool, the pool table and football table!
Saint Quay Portrieux is lovely little town, with nice restaurants, amazing boulangerie and the house being so close to the beach was perfect. Isabelle the owner along with Natalie and Thierry who look after the house were all very nice and made our stay very pleasant. Would highly recommend!
This is a well equipped well maintained house with great sea views. We were 11 and had lots of space. Comfortable beds and decent bathrooms. The pool was warm and the kids loved it. The pool table was great too. Lovely location. Beach on the doorstep. Beautiful views on walks to other beaches. Quality restaurants and nice shops also walkable. The seafood here is wonderful.

Dear Nigel thank you very much for your lovely appreciation
We were three generations and the house was perfect for us. There was plenty of room in this house which was very clean with attractive and imaginative decor. The kitchen was well supplied with cutlery crockery pans coffee machine big fridge etc The table was big and the sitting area comfortable and we enjoyed the barbeque The host was very charming and helpful
We enjoyed the pool table and football game and the children loved the sheltered pool in the garden. The position is excellent - so close to the beach that we could all wander down at will even the younger children. . We loved this house and would strongly recommend it .

Lovely house in beautiful location
The house is even better than the pictures portray. There are lots of extra touches that truly make this home from home. The house was light, cosy and comfortable. It suited people of all ages - the basement den was a fab place for the teenagers to hang out and the pool table that converted to a table tennis table was a great unexpected addition. The house is perfectly situated for a short stroll into town for fresh bread or to the beach with the array of good restaurants on offer there. We all had a great time and hopefully can come back in the summer time to enjoy the pool as well.

Thank you very much for this lovely appreciation, "Kichen ar mor" receive you again with great pleasure :-).
Our stay here was perfect! Thank you for creating such an amazing house! Everything was well prepared, very clean and in order. The service and support were excellent. The house is perfectly and comfortably equipped, we missed nothing, as well as furnished/decorated elegantly. We enjoyed the garden and playing billard in the evening. St. Quay Portrieux is a small and beautiful village with nice beaches. There are restaurants, bakeries, butcher, a small supermarket etc. near to the house and easily accsessible on feet. Thank you for everything!

Dear Barbara,
I'm extremely touched by your comment and I thank you very warmly.
Great house for multi generation holidays. The bedrooms are over 3 floors. The "senior" grown ups had the upstairs master bedroom with the younger family members having he lower floor. Its a sophisticated area with no shops selling holiday tat. The pool was a big hit with everyone. The only negative was the wonderful master bedroom isn't en-suite.
Also there is some really nice furniture throughout the house.
We were a party of 13. The house easily accommodated us and had all the facilities required to support us for the 10 days we stayed there. The heated swimming pool was enjoyed by all and was large enough to splash around in. We enjoyed being within walking distance of a very pretty beach, a fantastic boulangerie and the port/town of SQP. We took ebikes with us and had easy access to well signposted cycle routes. Parking for two small cars is available on the house's drive and street parking is available; sometimes in marked bays at less busy times. This area of Brittany is very rural easy to reach and pretty with many lovely sandy bays to visit accessed via steps down the cliff face. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This was the best house we have ever stayed in. Lots of space. Beautifully maintained. It had everything you could possibly need; kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, kitchen equipment. Plenty of chairs, large dining table inside and out. BUT also the swimming pool. Covered and easy to lock so safe for toddler. There was nothing we lacked. The beds were compfortable and the bathrooms efficient
Isabelle, the owner, is charming and helpful
The situation is memorable. Being able to walk to the sea in swimwear and come back to an outside shower
Plenty of room to store our paddle boards.
We were a party of 11 aged 1 to 86 and it suited us all
Thankyou Isabelle

Dear Fiona,
you're lovely family and it's been a pleasure to meet you . Thank you for your lovely comment.
We had the most wonderful week in Isabelle's house. She was excellent at communicating when I sent her a few questions in advance of our trip. Every message was responded to within around ten minutes and she was so helpful on our arrival. The house is metres from a very nice, family beach which was never crowded. The house is equipped with everything we needed and worked well for us with the bedrooms being over three floors. There were plenty of bathrooms, which was important for a group of thirteen. The master bedroom has a stunning view of the sea. The balcony off the dining room was lovely for eating outside and we used the barbeque. The pool was a big hit, particularly with the children. There is a nice seating area by the pool with sun loungers. It was helpful being able to store our bike in the shed. Parking was never an issue being readily available. The centre of the town is walking distance from the house and there is an excellent market on Monday mornings. There's even a great crepe van at the bottom of the road next to the house. All in all it was a perfect property for us. Thank you so much, Isabelle, for all your help and hard work.

Dear Karen,
I'm very touched by your opinion which makes me want to continue sharing. Thank you very much Karen
A wonderful house for a large family holiday by the sea.
We had an excellent week with our children and grandchildren. Very short walks to the beach, bakery and small shop meant we only used the car once to travel a short distance to Super U for a large food shop. The beach was fun for all - good swimming, sandcastle building, rock pool exploration and scrambling over rocks. The swimming pool meant we had lots of water fun even when too cool or windy for beach.
The house has excellent sleeping accommodation and bathrooms. Fans in the downstairs shower rooms and another toilet would have been useful, as eight slept on this floor but we managed. The Captains bedroom is very special.
Open plan lounge, dining, kitchen and pool table room were ideal for us and the kitchen had almost all we needed. We were a bit short of oven space (one normal sized oven limited what we could cook for ten) oven trays and sharp knives. The BBQ was really useful.
Overall a fantastic house that we would love to use again.
This house is perfect for a family holiday by the sea. It is well equipped and literally five minutes walk from the beach. The front bedrooms and terrace have beautiful sea views. The large kitchen/dining/lounge room works wonderfully for a large family event with everyone together in one space. There is a terrace with a table that will seat 15 and charcoal BBQ. Also, an indoor dining table that will seat a similar number plus a pool table, which was great fun. Saint-Quay-Portrieux is a lovely seaside town with lots of restaurants within walking distance and there is a bakery around the corner that does heavenly fresh bread and pastries. We loved the seaside decor with the master bedroom resembling the bridge of a ship, lots of seagulls, blue and white striped floor and nautical memorabilia. There is a heated outdoor pool with slide-back cover and drive parking for two cars plus plenty of free street parking. The GR34 walking route runs through the town and provides scenic cliff-top walks. The owner Isabelle and manager, Nathalie were very friendly and helpful. The whole family had a fabulous holiday!
