About this property
Saint Pierre Quiberon: The countryside by the sea. Small stone country house.
With its mill and heath all around, "Kervihan" - a small hamlet in Breton - is a very unspoiled, authentic and wild village. It consists of stone houses, old farms and fishermen's houses.
With its old windmill, Kervihan is a preserved, authentic and picturesque fishing village. Surrounded by moorland, it consists mainly of stone houses, old farmhouses and fishermen cottages.
Between the Côte Sauvage at 300m and the Baie de Quiberon at 700m, you will have the choice between pretty little rocky beaches like Port Pigeon or Port Bara and, on the bay side, Kerbourgnec beach near the sailing club for sheltered swimming .
Kervihan is an ideal base for exploring, walking and cycling (2 bikes are provided). The spectacular coastline of the "Cote Sauvage" is only 300m away and the beaches of "Baie de Quiberon" 700m. You can choose from pretty little beaches with rockpool and caves like Port Pigeon and Port Bara on the Côte Sauvage, and Kerbourgnec beach, a more sheltered beach near the Sailing Club on the bayside of the peninsula.
All trips can be made by bicycle (two are available). There are many walks on the peninsula on foot or by bicycle, in particular the "Green Way" which runs along the wild coast in the moor, accessible at the entrance of the village and which will take you to Quiberon.
There are lots of nice local walks and numerous paths for walkers and cyclers like "La Voie Verte" (Greenway), the coastal path along the Côte Sauvage that runs from the village to Quiberon across the moor.
If you are considering an excursion to the islands (Belle Ile, Houat or Hoedic), it will be with pleasure that I will drive you with my old Land Rover to the pier of Quiberon and that I will come to pick you up, because it is not possible to park near the port for the whole day.
If you want to visit the nearby islands (Belle Ile, Houat, Hoedic), I can drop you with my old Land Rover at the boat terminal and pick you up when you return as it is verry difficult to park in Quiberon.
