About this property

Renovated house in the heart of the Corbières and the Cathar country

Charming house renovated at the foot of a medieval castle with beautiful view in typical village of Corbières. Capacity: 5 people + a baby. Durban is ideally located between sea and mountains: the wine road, near the Cathar castles, Carcassonne, the prehistoric site of Tautavel, 1/2 hour from the sea, the African reserve Sigean. The Spanish border is only 1 hour by car.
Walking access to the municipal swimming pool (2 € / day), the river and various shops.
Internet limited to 1GB for less than three nights and 4GB / week from 4 nights.
Accepted animals.
Parking spaces next to the cottage.
Walking and mountain biking, swimming in the river ... Many activities in the village during the summer including a nice municipal pool.
Farmers market.
First weekend of August: the village is in celebration: rides for children and concerts in the evening.
The gite + 1 cot, 1 highchair and 1 baby bathtub!

Clean, Quaint , very quite property in a very quiet village

Clean, very comfortable bed, very homely. Very quiet village, not much to do. Owner very lovely, check in and out process easy. Booklet of local place to visit in property. Visit beach twice - Plague la franqul twice - fantastic beach and carcassa is well worth the trip all around 40 mins away. Overall this property was a true reflection to its description

Je pense que dans l annonce il serait honnête de parler de la possibilité de restriction d eau La piscine n ouvrira pas et les cours d eau sont à sec donc pas de possibilité de se baigner sauf dans la Méditerranée

Mangel wurde nicht mtigeteilt

Wir wollten unseren Jahresurlaub hier verbringen. Einen Tag vor der Anreise wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass das Wasser in der Gemeinde, als auch in der Wohnung abgestellt wird und man nur von 08:00 bis 14:00h Wasser zur Verfügung hat. Die Vermieter wußten bereits am 15.07. davon. Am 20.07. hätten wir noch stornieren können, statt dessen erhielten wir die Zahlungsaufforderung. Bei Temperaturen über 30°C möchte ich im Urlaub abends duschen können und kein Wasser täglich schleppen müssen zum kochen und Zähneputzen usw. Für uns stellt diese Tatsache einen Mangel dar, der hätte mitgeteilt werden müssen. So konnten wir nicht mehr stornieren, das Geld ist weg und wir haben Urlaub zu Hause gemacht. Schade.

Rundreise zu historischen Burgen und Abteien.

Durban liegt für eine kleine Rundreise durch die Corbières mit den vielen historischen Gebäuden sehr zentral. Das alte Steinhaus ist komplett renoviert, sehr sauber und voll ausgestattet (Küche mit Geräten u. separater Waschmaschine ausgestattet. Die Zufahrt ist etwas schwierig. Dies ist jedoch in den kleinen Dörfern normal (schmale Straßen). Uns hat es sehr gefallen, da wir einen guten Stützpunkt für unsere Tagestouren hatten. Liebe Grüße

Très bon gîte fort bien situé pour découvrir les Corbières

Gîte suffisamment spatieux pour 4-5 personnes, très bien équipé, parfaitement propre à notre arrivée. Nombreuses possibilités pour découvrir la region: randonnées dans les Corbières (y compris autour de Durban), vins si on est amateur, châteaux Cathares, Carcassonne, villages de caractère, gouffres, baignades en rivières, à la mer, et piscine communale à 5 min à pied, parc animalier, etc. Nos enfants (10 et 16 ans) ne se sont pas ennuyés. Il faut toutefois prévoir de faire de la voiture (et parfois ça grimpe bien !). Petits bémols: le marché prétendument "gourmand" par la mairie offre juste le minimum (fruits & légumes de base mais de qualité, bons fromager & boucher, ... et un fleuriste, c'est tout - on a connu bien mieux comme marché). Enfin, pour être complétement honnête je ne peux m'empêcher de signaler les 3 jours (vendredi à lundi, début août) de fête du village ("musique" de type "boum boum boum" de 21h à 3h30 du matin), si le volume sonore avait été moins fort ça aurait été acceptable. Abstraction faite de ce dernier point, notre séjour fut excellent, trop court pour découvrir l'ensemble du territoire.

4 jours en Corbières entre mer et montagne en avril. La maison est agréable bien qu'orienté nord (doit être agréable lors des forets chaleurs estivales. Situation idéale comme l'évoque l'annonce pour rayonner des chateaux Cathares à la méditérannée. En tout point conforme à l'annonce. Propre et pratique dans un village tranquille avec boulangerie et petit magasin alimentaire. Le plus est le contact avec la propriétaire qui est très agréable et souple pour les heures d'arrivée et départ. Je recommande sans hésitation

Un petit havre de paix dans les Corbières

Le gîte est tout simplement parfait. Le calme ainsi que le confort y résident, le rapport qualité-prix est imbattable, et le relationnel excellent. Je ne peux que conseiller le gîte d'Anne et Éric car "Il y a tout !", comme je disais avec ma grand-mère :) J'y retournerai avec grand plaisir !

Confortable refuge bien chauffé pour une inattendue dépression de novembre.

Ce gite sans extérieur est confortable et très bien équipé, la literie est bonne, la douche à multijet un peu sophistiquée pour les non initiés:)! Le gite est toutefois inadapté pour les personnes craignant les escaliers étroits. Il est silencieux (l'angélus ne dure que quelques secondes).. Il est possible de décharger devant la porte en laissant les valises au garage du rez de chaussée avant d'aller se garer. Le village est joli, vivant en arrière saison et dispose de toutes commodités, la supérette Utile est bien achalandée, une grande maison de santé est proche du gite. Très bonne situation pour des visites touristiques et randonnées. La coordination avec les propriétaires absents est parfaite. Nous recommandons ce gite.

Super gîte familial idéalement placé pour visiter la région.

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans le gîte d'Anne et Eric, hôtes adorables en tout point, attentifs et de bon conseil pour visiter la région. Vous y trouverez tout ce qu'il faut pour être en vacances comme à la maison et au frais, à l'ombre du château tout en bénéficiant d'une superbe vue plongeante panoramique sur l'ensemble du village. Le gîte est idéalement placé pour visiter la région si riche que 15 jours ne suffisent évidemment pas 🤔. Il y est aussi agréable de pouvoir flâner sans déplacer la voiture soit dans Durban-corbières pour profiter du village, des espaces enfants, espaces pique nique avec barbecue, terrain de pétanque , de la piscine municipale soit des grands espaces naturels juste derrière le gîte ... Parcourir la garrigue dans des paysages vallonnés, admirer les vignes, les figuiers, respirer les parfums... A ceux qui ont l'envie de ne pas trop bouger la voiture, l'avantage de la superette, du boulanger, d'un restaurant, de la pharmacie sur place répondra sans nul doute à vos besoins quotidiens, ce qui est un plus dans ces villages légèrement excentrés.
