Make memories in this classic log cabin filled with Old Tahoe charm and modern amenities. Located on the historic Old Brockway Golf Course, this 3-bedroom/2-bath hideaway is minutes away from everything, yet feels miles away from it all. A walk, bike, or short drive takes you to the beach for sunning, swimming, beach volleyball, and a barbecue. Appealing restaurants, shops, and even casinos, are a walk or Uber away. For world-class skiing, boarding and mountain biking, hop on the bus for a quick ride to Northstar, less than 10 minutes door-to-door. Squaw, Mount Rose, Diamond Peak, and Homewood are also nearby. While everyone else is wrangling crowds to get home, you’ll be back at your cabin, catching the sunset from the deck, slipping into the private hot tub under the stars, or sipping a drink in front of the fire.
You’ll love the cabin’s vintage design, crafted to take you back to a simpler time. Downstairs, the living/dining area has a gas fireplace, inviting sofa, and a large table for gathering. A well-equipped kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances has everything you need to craft a delicious meal. The downstairs bedroom is a cozy retreat, with a king bed, french doors to the deck, and a bathroom with shower/tub combo. Upstairs, you’ll find another bathroom with shower, along with two charming guest rooms—a calming refuge with a queen bed/twin trundle, and a bunk room for the kids and kids-at-heart with 2 twin-over-full bunks and a full sofa bed and 6 lockers for organizing gear.
This is the kind of place that brings you together for board games, story-telling, and lively conversation. But that doesn’t mean you have to give up movie night. The living room has a large flat-screen with Chromecast and a Blu-Ray/DVD player. There’s also a surround sound system for your Tahoe playlist and a turntable for spinning records. The bunk room has another large flat-screen with Amazon Fire, surround sound, and Blu-Ray/DVD.
Outside the cabin, enjoy the large lot with space for lounging and playing games in the summer, or building snowmen and snow forts in the winter. Park your boat or trailer with ease. Relax on the outdoor sofa or in the private hot tub overlooking a lawn area that merges into the Old Brockway Golf Course with the views you’d expect from this historic Jeffrey-pine studded treasure, enjoyed by Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin. This is the first 9-hole golf course to become an Audubon cooperative sanctuary, which means you’ll have front-row seats to a lively wildlife corridor, home to song birds, geese, and even the occasional black bear. A picnic table beckons you outside for leisurely meals under the sky.
This is our family's happy place. We hope you'll love it as much as we do.
