This impeccable Kinney Shores house is the perfect location for the quintessential Maine getaway! Enjoy the expansive ocean view from the spacious deck or walk one minute to the wide, sandy Kinney Shores beach to enjoy the sun and surf. This beautiful home overlooks the beach and marsh, where it is common to find egrets, Canada geese, and piping plovers, as well as other local wildlife. Perfect for a private getaway or family vacation, this open concept, sun-filled home is an outdoor lover’s dream. Biking, sailing, hiking, kayaking, swimming, and fishing are just a few feet away from the front door.

Two full baths (one with shower, other with bathtub), a large kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher) and a cozy sitting area decorated in soft colors ensure a relaxing trip. Two bedrooms on first floor, one with a king bed other has a queen bed. The third bedroom on second floor has a full size and twin bed. In the living-room there is a comfortable pull-out queen size sofa. The dining area can comfortably seat up to six. The driveway has space for up to three vehicles. The house is also supplied with an outdoor shower, beach chairs. A near-constant ocean breeze provides ample cooling and ventilation. For cooling mini-split AC units are now located in all 3 bedrooms and in the second floor living area. The property also includes free Wi-Fi, an HD-TV, and washer and dryer.

Abutting the Rachel Carson wildlife preserve and located on a dead end street in the quiet neighborhood of Kinney Shores in Saco, ME, the location is unparalleled. The Old Orchard Beach pier is less than two miles away and the vibrant city of Portland is less than 15. Outlet shopping in both Freeport and Kittery is only 40 minutes away and day trips to Ogunquit and Kennebunkport are easy to arrange. Multiple grocery stores, local restaurants, amusement parks, craft breweries, and distilleries are all located within a few miles.

This summertime rental is for a minimum of 1 week with the rental period starting on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM and concluding the following Saturday morning by 10:00 AM.

Fall rental can be arranged for a minimum of 3 nights, Friday to Sunday but please contact owner first to confirm.

Check-out before 10:00 AM and Check-in after 3:00 PM..

What a fabulous place to stay! The hosts were readily available to answer any questions & check in/out were a breeze. The many amenities ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. This was our 5th year at the Plover House. We love the house and its great location. It is just steps to the beautiful beach and a short walk to Ocean Park. We spent plenty of time on the deck looking out on the beach and watched the fireworks on Thursday night. We definitely hope to be back.

Overall this was a great vacation home, we really enjoyed it. We did cook a lot of our meals at home, so we noticed a couple of small items that the kitchen needs. A teapot would be helpful and lids for the pots. Very nice kitchen to cook in!

Wow! What an amazing property!

Our family has been staying a little north up the beach in Old Orchard for years. We were looking for a change of pace and a much quieter beach area. This property was absolutely perfect and fit all of our needs. You are truly steps from the beach which was perfect with a toddler. The beach is beautiful and very low key. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We cooked a lot of meals at the house and our favorite part was sitting on the deck to take in the beautiful ocean view! We cannot wait for our trip again next year!

Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful vacation and the Plover House was perfect for our family.The house has everything that you need to enjoy your vacation. We LOVED the outdoor deck. We spent a good deal of time out there enjoying the oceanview. We even saw a bald eagle fly over the house. The house is really clean, has a nice beach vibe and it is a minute walk to the beach! Jane’s place could not have been better for our vacation! Check in was easy and there were snacks and a bottle of wine when we arrived, so thoughtful. We loved how updated everything is but deck view was our favorite. Grilling dinner or enjoying a morning coffee out there was the best. Would love to stay here again!

Great place to stay at the beach

We had a great week at this cottage next to the beach in Saco, ME. The place was spotless, with a nice decor and high end appliances. The bedrooms downstairs are large and very comfortable. The upstairs bedroom is smaller, but comfortable as well. The view from the balcony on the river and the beach is spectacular. The area is very quiet, and the house is on a dead-end street, which makes it kids friendly. Great rental, would recommend without hesitation.

This house was clean, comfortable and we loved every minute of our stay. They thought of every last detail, including a generator so even though the neighborhood was out of power for several hours we were never inconvenienced. Great beach house

The Plover House is a well-managed, maintained and clean house with thoughtful attention-to-details and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and convenient getaway. Perfect Family Vacation at the Beach

This was our second time at this property. It’s wonderful, clean, and has everything you need. The gate at the top of the stairs was so helpful for our 1 yr old, and the bedrooms on different floors allowed for nap times for some while others play. And you can’t beat the location- just a short path to the beach so you can take advantage of all the good beach weather and return home if the weather changes (or for potty breaks/meals/naps). The owners are so nice and available if you need anything. We can’t wait to return! Thank you Jane and Bruce!

Great location!

The house was immaculate, organized and comfortable. There was more than enough room to spread out and the back deck was perfect for relaxing! Best part though was the location, truly is steps to the beach, which is one of the nicest I’ve ever been to, spent hours just enjoying it! Also a very short drive to Old Orchard Beach and Biddeford. We definitely hope to be back!

Wonderful peaceful home

This is an immaculate home with ocean bay view. So peaceful to watch the tide come and go. Walking the beach and looking for seashells is so relaxing. If you want, there is much to see and do close by. This home has everything you need for a vacation, and the kitchen has all you need to cook, or grill or even cook a lobster. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.
