Pressoir de la Viette - House in Normandy - Grassland cows for neighborhood

2 hours from Paris and 35 minutes from the coast, in the middle of the meadows, quiet and without immediate vicinity, this cottage is an ideal place for rest, hiking, discovery of heritage. From the garden opens a beautiful view of the hills of the Pays d'Auge. We have transformed the cider press on our property into a comfortable guest house in which all the ingredients for a pleasant stay are combined.
We are located in the center of the 120 ha family farm in the middle of the countryside with the Normandy cows of the breeding and my father's mares as company.
You will be received with simplicity, and friendliness, in love with our countryside, we will give you all the information possible to allow you to discover the natural and architectural heritage of the Pays d'Auge.
We have arranged this accommodation to make it practical and comfortable. The fully equipped kitchen opens onto a large, very bright living room. The room allows you to organize beautiful parties ... Upstairs two bedrooms with showers and a landing room with 3 beds, as well as a convertible sofa on the ground floor can accommodate up to 10 people.

Very nice place and great host couple.

We (4 persons) spend 10 days in the very fine house - the location is extremely good and very peaceful and the host couple is just the best that you can imagine- always very helpful and really tried the best to give us the best vacation. The location is close to all the big sights in Normandie, but there is also some Local products and locations very close that are interesting. We can only give the place the best recommendations - it is very very nice.

Lovely cottage

This was a lovely place to rest for a night for our party of 7. There was plenty of room and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the property. We arrived rather late and wished we could have spent a little more time there just relaxing. We stayed here for one night on our visit to the Normandy region. We started our day leaving from the Paris area and visiting Giverny and then Lisieux. Then we just had a short drive to reach the house. We began our journey to Caen the next morning. An added benefit were the cows bordering the home which my husband and kids enjoyed calling to and watching them come over for a visit at the fence. Michael was very welcoming and accommodating of our late arrival.

Au cœur de la Normandie

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, la maison est très jolie, confortable et très bien équipée. Elle est au calme au milieu des champs, le cadre est très beau. Tolles Ferienhaus in traumhafter Lage

Wir haben uns in diesem besonderen Ferienhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet, absolut ruhig gelegen und der Blick durch das große Fenster in der Küche auf die angrenzende Kuhweide ist einfach einzigartig! Unsere Kinder fanden den Pool und die Kühe besonders toll. Das Haus ist ein idealer Ausgangsort um die Normandie zu erkunden. Die Vermieter Catherine und Michel sind total nett und hilfsbereit. Vielen herzlichen Dank noch einmal für diesen unvergesslichen Urlaub in der Normandie!

Idyllisches Ferienhaus in malerischer Landschaft

Ein wundervolles Haus und ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um Ausflüge in die Umgebung zu unternehmen und danach den Tag in Ruhe ausklingen zu lassen. Es fehlt an nichts und wenn doch, sind die Gastgeber umgehend zur Stelle. Wir haben uns rundherum wohl und willkommen gefühlt.

Herzlichkeit hat zwei Namen

Catherine und Michel sind die perfekten Gastgeber. Herzlich, freundlich, offen und absolut hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns geholfen wo sie konnten und uns viele tolle Ausflugstipps gegeben. Gite très agréable

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine au sein du gite (février 2021). Belles maison et propriété, propres et entretenues. Maison spacieuse, lumineuse, grandes baies vitrées qui donnent sur le pré ; et nous avons apprécié le poêle à bois :) L'espace chambres à l'étage est également très agréable : spacieux, bonne literie (ce n'est pas le cas partout..!) et une salle de bain dans chaque chambre. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et disponibles en cas de besoin. Nous recommandons ce gite et y retournerons avec plaisir !

Le calme de la Normandie

Belle maison au calme avec magnifique vue sur les prés et les vaches normandes. La piscine fût appréciée des enfants. Maison bien agencée et propre. Propriétaires très accueillants qui nous ont fait découvrir les villages et le patrimoine environnants. Un séjour relaxant avec de belles découvertes architecturales.

Wonderful Time

We had a wonderful time at Michel`s and Catherine`s house. We enjoyed the nice house, the wonderful view of the meadow and the cows and the swimming pool. Especially Michel`s and Catherine`s hospitality and kindness has to be mentioned. We felt very welcomed and they were very open to our three children. Their place is a place where you can relax from stress from work and enjoy family life in the countryside. It is also a great spot from where you can start excursions in the region (for e.g. D-Day landing beaches, Falaise (birthplace of William the Conqueror) etc.). We can definitely recommend their place and are looking forward to spend another holiday at the Pressoir in the future. Thank you again, Michel and Catherine, for the wonderful time at your house. À la prochaine!

Top gite in een groene en zeer rustige omgeving.

Wij verbleven hier een vijftal dagen begin juli 2020. Aangename ontvangst. Prachtige locatie midden in een zeer rustige en groene omgeving. De pressoir was zeer proper en ruim. Mooie kamers, ruime eetkamer en salon en keuken waar alles aanwezig was. Zwembad was speciaal voor ons opgezet. Fietsen aanwezig voor een ritje in de mooie omgeving. Kortom, alle elementen zijn aanwezig voor een zorgeloze vakantie. Wij bevelen deze locatie ten zeerste aan.

La casa e il giardino sono bellissimi, campagna vera ma elegante e rilassante.A disposizione ci sono inoltre bici e ping pong per divertirsi.Il contesto e' silenzioso e i proprietari molto attenti alle tue esigenze ma discreti e rispettosi.lo consiglio davvero, anche i servizi della casa (cucina bagni docce lavanderia ecc ecc)sono veramente completi e ottimamente puliti.

Schönes, gut gelegenes Ferienhaus inmitten der Natur

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem schönen Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Es war sauber, die Küche mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet und die Lage direkt neben einer Weide mit grasenden Kühen super schön und prima, um vom Alltag abzuschalten. Unsere Kinder haben jede freie Minute draußen im Garten genossen, um zu toben und Kühe zu beobachten. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und freundlich, eine Kommunikation auf Englisch war problemlos möglich. In der Nähe befinden sich einige sehenswerte Schlösser und Orte, die Strände von Trouville, Deauville und Cabourg sind in etwa einer Stunde zu erreichen. Wir haben auch die Käsefabrik in Livarot besichtigt, was wir sehr interessant fanden. Alles in allem hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

Perfect!!!

We spend one week in the house and it was wonderful. My kids enjoy very much, we saw the cows, ride the bikes, use the barbecue.... The house was really clean, it has every thing you need in the kitchen. The owners were kind, and friendly and advise us about the area. Thank you very much!!

Wo sich Fuchs und Hase und Kühe gute Nacht sagen

Sehr schön gelegenes hübsches Häuschen mitten im Nichts, nur Wiesen und Wälder und die putzigen Kühe drumherum. Vermieter wohnen hinter dem Ferienhaus in einem großen, wunderschönen Haus, sind aber fast nicht zu bemerken. Sie sind sehr-sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Michel spricht sehr gut Englisch, daher keine Probleme bei der Kommunikation. Das Ferienhaus ist eine gelungene Symbiose von Altem un Modernen. Toller Ausgangspunkt, um Calvados, Orne oder die Landungsstrände und Weltkriegsdenkmäler bzw. -Museen zu erkunden. Im Garten sind Liegen und eine Tischtennis-Platte vorghanden; Einkaufsmöglichkeit in ca. 10 km Entfernung. Vielen Dank noch einmal an Catherine und Michel für die schöne Woche!
