    Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Owner is awesome and so personable. Cabin like accommodations in the mountains with spectacular views. Local restaurants were delicious.

    Magnificent views and cozy cottage!

    Fantastic views and very comfortable! Cozy cottage and quiet stay. It was very clean and had plenty of room for 5 adults aged 24-86! It was exactly as described and the host Mario was wonderful- made himself available to answer any questions we had. Wi-Fi, parking and the 3/3 bed/bath was exactly what we needed. The killer views and quiet neighborhood were a perfect!

    We chose this agritourismo to be our home base for 9 days from which to visit the area: from Bologna to Milan to the Adriatic Sea. Our host, Mario, is a gem. He met us upon our arrival in Montebabbio, demonstrated the features of the accommodation, and explained his family had been residents of the area for 500 years. He made contact on two more occasions to check on us and our stay. He directed us to two of our best meals within the region, one of which we would not have found without his recommendation. He was more than happy to send us links to local attractions which included a local dairy that makes exellent parmigiano reggiano cheese. As for the accommodations, the two upstairs bedrooms each have their own bathroom. The bedrooms are large, with lots of natural light, the beds comfortable, and there is a large wardrobe with shelves for clothing. There is lots of hot water with decent pressure. The kitchen was well equipped. There is only a loveseat in the downstairs seating area so the kitchen chairs needed to be used for general seating as well as dining. The kitchen chairs are very hard and our only recommendation would be to provide seat cushions for them. There are no laundry facilities. We enjoyed our evenings outside at the large picnic table and benches with cocktails and appetizers, watching the sunset over the glorious countryside. Parking was never an issue, with overflow available 50 feet away. Would we stay here again – absolutely!

    Wir haben uns im Vecchio Borgo sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist ein schönes Haus in einem kleinen Dorf, das sogar ein sehr gutes Restaurant hat. Leider konnten wir dort nur zweimal essen, weil anschließend Betriebsferien waren. Dafür kann Mario aber nichts, der ein sehr guter, freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber ist. Er hat uns persönlich mit allerhand Ausflugstipps versorgt und die Kommunikation lief sehr unkompliziert. Absolut empfehlenswert.

    Un logement magnifique au milieu d’un village typique

    Ce logement est une de nos meilleures trouvaille en 20 ans de voyage. Tout etait parfait et mieux que sur les photos.Le ménage est bien fait, les chambres spacieuses avec assez de place pour poser les bagagges et la cuisine a plus que le simple minimum que nous trouvons habituellement (il manque juste un ou deux vrais verres a bières ).De plus Mario a été de très bons conseils pour les visites et si il vous recommande un restaurant, une fromagerie ou une cave allez y vous ne serez pas déçus par le voyage ! Si vous avez le temps passez au Mumak Cafe a Scandiano, un petit bar typique comme on peut les aimer.NOUS RECOMMANDONS FORTEMENT CE LOGEMENT !

    Ein sehr netter Vermieter, der mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Fast jeden Morgen haben wir frisches leckeres Gebäck bekommen. Am letzten Abend wurden wir zum Pizzaessen eingeladen. War ein sehr schöner Abend.

    Ons verblijf in Montebabbio bij Mario in appartement Aia was fantastisch. De ontvangst was warm en de gastheer spreekt perfect Engels. Het huisje is basic, alles wat je nodig hebt is er en we hebben zelfs kennis gemaakt met de Italiaanse koffie want er was een perculator aanwezig. De bedden sliepen goed, de douche was lekker en op verzoek werd er ook buiten in stoelen en een tafel voorzien. De omgang met onze kinderen was prettig. Er zit een restaurant om de hoek en het eten is er heerlijk. De omgeving is prachtig en je kan letterlijk alle kanten op naar de omliggende dorpen en steden. Wij hebben het Ferrari en Lamborghini museum bezocht. Ook kregen we van onze gastheer Mario goede tips wat we in de omgeving konden doen.

    Super Unterkunft

    Spitzen Unterkunft, gerade im Sommer ein wunderbar Kühles Haus auch ohne Klima durch das alte Gemäuer. Innen alles sauber und wirkt recht neu renoviert. Und den besten Gastgeber überhaupt. Hat jeden Abend gefragt ob alles gut ist und uns mit Essens und Ausflugs tipps sowie Hilfe bei Problemen immer unterstützen. Uns er spricht gut Englisch. Vielen Dank für den Urlaub.

    Zeer hartelijk ontvangen door eigenaar die een rondleiding gaf door het appartement. Accommodatie was erg netjes en schoon. Betreft een mooi gerestaureerde boerderij gesitueerd in het hart van het dorpje, met authentieke kenmerken. Iedere slaapkamer is voorzien van eigen douche en toilet. Het dorpje zelf ligt bovenop een heuvel/berg met mooie vergezichten. Omgeving nodigt uit om te mountainbiken. Wij verbleven hier als uitvalsbasis voor bezoeken aan de fabrieken en musea van Ferrari, Pagani en Maserati. Deze bevinden zich in Maranello en Modena. Ook Lamborghini en Ducati tref je daar. De reistijd naar deze plaatsen bedraagt ca. 20 tot 40 minuten met de auto.

    Quiet country home away from the city. It is a bit of a drive to the home, but the drive is beautiful and the setting is nice. Cell phone reception is spotty in the area, but that's common in hilly regions. The host was very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend for a family or group.

    jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Bad, das ist komfortabel, die Zimmer sind im schlichten Landhaus- Stil eingerichtet, das Haus ist wunderschön mit Essplatz auf der Terrasse, der große Raum als Treffpunkt mit Esstisch innen hat unserer Gruppe gut gefallen, die Küche ist ausreichend ausgestattet, wir würden gerne wiederkommen

    Perfect quiet getaway

    Mario was a great host, perfect communication and made the whole experience very easy. The location was so gorgeous and the accommodations worked perfectly for us. We had one couple and one friend, so we didn't even need the third bedroom. We were able to cook a great meal in the kitchen and experience everything in the area. Such a great time!

    Nice house with great rooms

    Mario's house is a nice quiet place in the mountain. Large bedrooms and nice bathrooms. There is a very good restaurant nt more than 100meters away but it was closed for all but one night will we were there. The kitchen would need a bit more equipment.

    Een simpel en eenvoudig huisje. Wel was het huisje bij aankomst Brandschoon. Het huisje is eigendom van Mario. Een zeer hartelijke Italiaan die je welkom heet met een fles van zijn heerlijke zelf gemaakte wijn. Het bergdorpje is klein en rustig. Maar wel is er 1 restaurant aanwezig. Hier hebben we heerlijk gegeten voor een zeer schappelijke prijs. Mooie steden als Modena en Emilia Romagna op Max 40 min rijden. Als je voor rust en stilte gaat en geen luxe verwacht is dit een zeer goed verblijf!
